32 lengths is very good indeed always feel the positive and forget the negative;):D
Thank you Victory
They say confession is good for the soul - it felt better admitting what I had done rather than it being a guilty secret
I am really pleased with the swimming though as I have only been going for 3 weeks, and I will attempt to do the same tomorrowNot Rachmaninov

Now to the positive - I swam 32 lengths this morning, not sure I have ever swam as much before.
That's something that's top of my to do list when I've lost more weight - go swimming regularly0 -
Sary & Starlight your posts really got me thinking about "it's what you do when you get to target" and I realised that I only know ONE person in real life who has lost a significant amount of weight and kept it off long term (she lost over 100lb 30 years ago and has been slim ever since).
I know many other people who have lost weight, but either they yo-yo up and down, or it's all gone back on within a few years. This is the same regardless of their method(s) of weight loss.
As determined as I am, it doesn't give me a lot of hope when I can only think of one genuine 'slimming role model' in my life. (Though I suppose at least there is one!!!)0 -
Ah but Missy. Your total way of life has changed, right? Think with the amount of exercise you do, I can't see you putting a lot of weight on, unless you turn into superpiggy over night. The only way I can see it is if you have an injury that stops your exercise regime for a few weeks, then you might put a few lbs back on, but u got it 4ss kicked hon and keep up the good work
Still in agony after the past 2 days on the kinect :rotfl:but I think it's easing off a wee bit now4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Thanks to everyone for your get well comments.
I had the best sleep in ages yesterday night. When I woke up, it was a great big miracle, because the pain in my back disappeared (and when i mean disappeared, i'd say 90% disappeared as i still have some lingering pain), the same for my arms and legs too. I feel refreshed now. The only other slight pain i have is my TOTM pain, which i started yesterday, and no it wasn't fun to start my TOTM on the day i was very unwell, double the pain and all that lol, but glad im feeling better.
I want to continue on with Insanity today, but mum is telling me to take some rest off exercise for today at least as i've only just got better. But since Insanity is supposed to be a calendar plan, and i missed yesterdays, i dont want to miss todays too. I don't mind too much about yesterdays one since it was supposed to be cardio recovery so a lot of stretching and a bit of other workout moves. I planned on switching saturdays workout with yesterdays one initially as i work 10-7 most saturdays so wouldnt be able to fit in the workout unless i wake up very early or do it late in the evening, but obviously i got ill, so now i have to find some way of fitting it in tomorrow. If not, then i guess i'll just have to leave it out and hope it doesn't ruin everything.
Hope everyone here is alright.0 -
Went to the gym after dropping off the kids. Only managed 30mins on the bike and 30mins on crosstrainer. Insanity takes it out of you :rotfl:
I weighed myself though wasn't expecting any loss as it's TOTM so was surprised and happy :j
Last week was: 65.2kg
Today is: 64.5kg
Loss of: (according to google 700 grammes)
According to google, 700 grammes in pounds is: drum roll please: 700 grams = 1.54323584 pounds so that's
1 pound loss :rotfl:

Victory - that incident at your work coleagues house was out of order - a lot of people do make excuses when they dont want company, including me sometimes, but its still wrong never the less. Withe not asuming in mind, dont assume that it was "personal", she may have just wanted to be on her own and would have done the same no matter who it was that came to the door.
I hope things go ok for you today.
Frogletina/Starlight - im going to have to start swimming again one day, but keep putting it off. I can only do crawl (or doggy paddle if feeling lazy lol) so the old biddies in the pool dont like me being there cos crawl is more splashy that everybody else who all do breast stroke and also I'm pretty slow at getting dried and changed so going every day means altogether theres a lot of wasted time in the changing room. Ideally (instead of daily half an hour) I'd go once week and swim for 3 and a half hours... but then that's 3 hours longer than i can actually manage.0
