Turns out this is not the first time Mr Gray has been disciplined for this sort of behaviour

My wife told me that Andy Gray had been sacked this afternoon. I didn't even know we had Sky in the kitchen
I think it's all been blown a little out of proportion as Sian Massey will get comments and songs (in jest and a bit of banter) aimed at her in every game she takes part in and i'm sure it'll be water off a ducks back to her. Having said that though Sian Massey is good at her job and she shouldn't have to take insults like that especially from people in the media.
I'm sure they have slagged off all sorts of people in the past though such as referees but because they're male nothing will get said about it.
The comments weren't just aimed at her though. Quite sure if they were slating all refs something would have been said no one is allowed to say anything bad about them full stop.:)0 -
She will be judged by her work, neither Andy Gray's or Richard Keys' comments will have any bearing on that. It's a shame that the papers felt the need to plaster pics of her dancing on tables all over their pages today though, her appearance is completely irrelevant to her job! Good luck to her, by all accounts, she more than proved herself at the match.
(Would love to hear a recording of the apologetic phone call though)

I think it's all been blown completely out of proportion. It's obvious (IMO) that they were just joking around. There's a stereotype that women don't know the off-side rule. Pretty much every person I've ever discussed football with has made that comment at some point or another. It doesn't mean that they're sexist or actually believe that women are incapable of understanding the rule.
It's hard to tell about the other incident with Andy G without knowing the context & what his relationship with his co-workers is.Wedding 5th September 20150 -

So this is joking around ?? Before the game. Before he got into the studio with keys

It isn't obvious that they were joking IMO or in his employers opinion either, kinda makes a mockery of the whole Respect campaign.0 -

I'm not sure which bit you're referring to but there's nothing there that doesn't sound like joking to me.
Of course apologies if I am missing something.Wedding 5th September 20150 -
they're clutching at straws showing the bit of footage of Andy gray getting mic'ed up and his comments. my god that is just what happens in a lot of male/female work situations. It's called having a laugh. If someone is sensitive and doesn't like this sort of banter, whether male or female, it's known within the working environment and comments are toned down or not made in the first place in my experience. As for the touchline conversation before the Wolves liverpool match it's just having a laugh. Maybe to people who work in a staid environment it's unacceptable but i can tell you that in television it's part and parcel of daily life. people work very long days and it helps the day along.0
