If anyone wants to hear a top quality commentator, have a listen to Colin Slater. Absolute genius ... and a very nice man with it! ;)

Right here's my take on it - which isn't going to be popular, but what the heck!

Women have NO PLACE in officiating at that level in the mans game - this is the highest profile football league in the world, third highest profile competition in world football with players earning more in a week than the Prime Minister earns in a year. Need i remind the people here that this is a league where some of its best known stars are more notorious for their inability to treat women with respect - so how in gods name do you expect them to take this woman seriously? Now Keys & Gray were caught on tape saying it, i almost guarentee you that in BOTH dressing rooms players were saying the same thing amongst themselves, as were a good proportion of the fans in the stand and millions of people watching in pubs & bookies throughout the country. That doesn't make it right - but it's common knowledge that is the case!
Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.

Thanks for giving us the view from the Neanderthal position.

The men in football are just going to have to learn to like it or lump it as far as female officials are concerned because it will become more and more common in the future.

The people for whom there is no place in football are those with the outdated, knuckle dragging, attitudes you list.
There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.

At least when she makes a mistake she has an excuse what with her being a female, what excuse do the (many) other (male) officials have for being incapable of understanding and implimenting that same rule?;)
