Morning all
Dark and feels chilly here this morning.
DH gone to work at stupid early o'clock, I managed not to wake. Can't believe the weekend has gone so quickly again!
DS1's rugby team won their game very convincingly yesterday 57-5, they did play very well though, their catching, passing was excellent - they are now gelling very well as a team. The lads that kicked the conversions were brilliant - some very difficult kicks and they managed to find the goal on all but two.
Lunch was supposed to be roast pork, bought a 2.2kg joint as it was on offer, but I'd got it cooked then DH didn't fancy roast!? So carved it and had hot pork sandwiches, very nice for a change, but I would have preferred roast with veg, still a nice bit of cold pork sliced and in the fridge, so will have that tomorrow night, possibly with jacket potatoes etc.
Took the boys to my parents for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon they both seem to be on the mend now after their recent flu.
Have menu planned for the week so hoping not to need anything other than milk - will have to wait and see.
Not much left in the budget either so am going to try to come in at budget/under if possible.
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Morning all,
Well it's just starting to get light here, so we're off out with the dogs in a min - we need to tire the new one out as he's so full of beans :rotfl:
Last night was a bit of a washout in that the new dog slept really wel, but we woke at every tinkle his collar made and the OH had the other dog sat on his head most of the night for protection (from what, we're not sure)
Today holds signing a contract for my car, dog grooming and wrestling and trying to clean the house.
Dinner tonight is smoked chicken salad and other salads if anyone wants them, though I'm not sure I'll be eating much as I seem to have come down with a tummy bug which is making me feel _pale_
Hope you all have a good day.

Thank you for all the good wishes for DD1 it all went well and she didnt even scream after the blood test i was a bit worried how she would react the worst bit was when they burnt it it smelt like BBQ:o
They think that its ok but results in 6 weeks
The other bit of news is we have a new dog as well a 6year old Daschund we are fosterers for a local rescue and when i started with them i said if you ever get a daxi let me know and on the way home from the hospital we got a call that he had come in so went to see him at the fosterers and he came home with us he is very well behaved no accidents but we need to change his name as he belonged to a polish lady who couldnt take him to her new accommadation she had him from a pup we are going to call him Seigfreid or Siggy for short
Right better get these childerbillies to school and need to make an appointment for dentist to have this tooth out as it is no better and driving me mad

good day to you all!
Hope your all well and happy?-The day here is looking like a mixed bag weather wise-sunny now but with rain forcast later--i have a very late start and a not too late finish. A very short day.-Business is good though and new students are coming daily. Mrs De has been looking after me well and since the New year we have dealt with a lot of irritable outstanding admin chores that have needed tackling--we still dont have house insurance or health insurance for me but hey ho i aint worth much!
Wifey just rang and half the money i transfered last week has arrived in my turkish bank hd to be split over 2 days due to silly money laundering rules in the uk banks-we are buying a new car because the old one went to car heaven---they want 12 quid to withdraw the cash and notice because i want it in pounds- get a better exchange rate in the local exchange shop--i will get some currency and the rest will go into gold as i see that as safest at the moment.
All is well in life--i am struggling with my spending devil because i have decided that inflation here is devaluing my saving(as well as in the uk)-sometimes there is a cycle in life when cash is most powerful---the car we part exchanged for this new one was 12 years old and the p-exch value was TWİCE what was paid for it and it needed some major work to get it roadworthy--my wife rides curbs a lot and the suspension and basically everything underneath was knackd--i dont drive so it wasnt me!!--i once saw an investment chart and it showed that cash was last the best investment back between 1970 and 1973--it had greatest buying power then.
Hope your all well must get on with showering and trying to look presentable for the cleaners!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
Morning all
Sorry I am posting so irregularly these days but tbh there has been very little OS going on in my life at the moment as other events seem to have overtaken matters entirely.
I haven't been able to talk about it properly because that would make it more real, so have avoided posting. (Deep breath).....OK the problem is that after years of a happy and good marriage, my OH (54) has suddenly decided that he doesn't want to be married anymore and needs his own space as he feels he is missing out on something! I know this is a classic mid life crisis but he has turned into someone that I do not recognise, so nasty one minute, very secretive and cold. He is still in the house for the time being but has been to the bank and opened his own bank accounts etc, is looking for a flat to rent and it is all moving so quickly.
Other than the fact that I am totally devastated as my feelings for him have not changed at all and I do not want this, there is the added consideration that all debt that we have (if you remember we had a terrible year last year with his job, so have gone through all our savings and now have quite a lot of debts) well that is all in my name as he did not have a very good credit rating. I know I have been stupid doing this but I trusted him totally and the recent events are so out of character for him. I do not totally believe him when he says that no one else is involved but he denies this (well I suppose he would)
God I cant believe that I have actually written it down, all I have been able to do is cry although I have tried not to let him see much of that.
On top of all that, my youngest (and last at home) DD moves into a new flat with her BF today, which should have been such a happy time for her (if sad for me) but she has had to stop at my other DDs house for the past 4 nights because of the troubles here - she is obviously furious at my OH and the rows were terrible. So she has not even been able to have her last week at home.
Its all such a mess and so, so sad.
Sorry to unload on you all but I feel so incredibly lost at the moment

Nic2lou2 - hugs to you. Not sure what to say really but we're here if you need to vent. I know sometimes it's easier to talk to strangers about how you feel rather than your friends. xxAnnual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

nic1lou2 I agree with bramble1, sending you lots of hugs. How devastating for you. Silver xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Nic2Lou2- sorry to hear that- hope you are ok.
JC2703- Good luck with the job interview.
Morning to everyone.
Ugh after several days of cold but sunny weather we have reverted back to mild and grey and dull- boo!
Sainsbury delivery coming this morning so once the veg is unpacked I will be making soup in my lovely pressure cooker- takes me longer to dice the veg than it does to cook the soup!
Dh has lit the woodburner so heating will go off soon- just got to leave boiler it on long enough for hot water. We have really noticed a difference in the amount of oil we have used since getting the woodburner- much less than this time last year, despite the snow and very cold temps in Dec.
Got to bag up DS's clothes that are too small today and am passing them on to a friend.
Sorted out crafts supplies for my playgroup yesterday so playroom looking more tidy and organised(until DS goes in there!).
Lamb mince out of the freezer and defrosting for shepherds pie this evening.
Have a good day all.:)0 -

Sending hugs to you all0 -
Morning All
Nic1lou2 .......I am so sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time of it ((((((((((Hugs))))))))))
I lost 1lb last week and am a little dissapointed, I could have lost the same on weightwatchersbut I will carry on for another week or so and see how it goes.
Watching the news about this stupid idea of happiness gurus what a bloody ridiculous idea - brainwashing in my view, if I want to be a grumpy old woman there is no way anyone will change my mind otherwise.:rotfl:
Got a reminder for my smear on Saturday, that three years has rolled by quickly  It is so bloody awkward though with my knees being so bad. But I will make an appointment today.
Well I am off for my Bacon and eggs.
Have good days all xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
