Hi everyone
I was on an eating everything day yesterday and today I can't think of anything that sounds appealing. DS was up at 5am so I'm knackered!I am on my 3rd so maybe they are bored with me
How did your first two births go stars? DS was a bit traumatic so this time I'm getting more appointments than my first!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I saw the midwife 7th August when I was 15 weeks had my scan at 20 weeks my next appointment isnt until 16th October when I will be 26 weeks for a GTT test? That seems like ages away I guess there is nothing they can do at the moment anyway just seems like ages
I'm the same and it's my first.Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140 -
Although, my Mum said she only had one scan with me and that was it until she went into labour. I think they see people a lot more now.
They didnt scan women up until about 16 -18 years ago as an every day practice. My Mum said she never had one with me, as Aunts and Mum's friends have said too. I'm 28, and apparently they only scanned to confirm multiple births or if there was a suspected problem with a baby.
I'm on my first and my Midwife is carp! Have to push her for appointments (the ones she should make, ie "do I come back along x week then?" and I get "oh yes, I forgot about your next one") I'm on #1 and seem to have the same almost identical to Star. My Hubs is a bit embarassing as if we ask a question to MW she refers us to the website and is a bit of a tory basher as all we get is "well if you were pregnant under the last government they would have paid to print the book, however with this one all you get is the site as they're too tight to print it". Hubs usually answers something along the lines of, we know we can look it up ourselves, we are both quite intelligent people contrary to the way she speaks to us however, with her being the midwife we thought she may have a few answers? Cue her rolling eyes and saying slightly slower to reference the website!
Turned into a bit of a rant there, sorry! But I'm in one of those moods today and Lord help anyone in my way! 2 of my colleagues have already copped for it. But then they were asking stupid questions!Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140 -
I am never away from the hospital! In my first pregnancy I only went in for a couple of appointments this time I am there at least once a fortnight and eventually that will be weekly  At least I know my baby and I are being well taken care of.
My new reusable nappies arrived today :j it was very exciting opening them and they came with a wee extra treat too. I also ordered a baby signing book that arrived and I have been flicking through that and trying to learn a few of them.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Wow, feels like forever ago I last got round to reading and posting on here!
Will try and read back properly later on.
First proper Midwife appointment on Friday, really looking forward to something else that makes it feel a bit more real - apart from the ever expanding waistline I'm still finding it hard to believe.
On the subject of expanding waistlines... I'm really struggling to find any decent maternity clothes, I'm 5'3 and pre-pregnancy I was a size 4/6 but apparently people of my size/build don't get pregnant! Would love to find a dress or two but it looks like it's going to be jeans and t-shirts that don't really fit for the next 5 and a half months
Hope everyone is enjoying these bonus few days of sunshine!0 -
Hi Jennifer, have you looked online at asos? They seem to do some size 6s. I might get a swim suit from them (not that i'm a tricky size to find, just because they seem to have a better range than mothercare and cheaper than fig leaves!)fran-o0

Jenni_fer - I'm slightly bigger than you 6-8 pre-pregnancy, I'm still in normal clothes even with a bump as my jeans are low cut ones. I've found long t-shirts are awesome as are maxi-dresses. I found some lovely maxi dresses in Oasis but they might be out of season now. Although I have been finding it super weird how I can feel different parts of baby so early on, we felt a foot the other day and definitely can tell which bit is her back.
Rummer - was it you that was saying about reusables the other day and you were buying a couple each month? I read a few reviews to say those ones were fleabay ones but with designs on them, are the ones you've got like that or are they higher quality?
AFM - Well I can no longer skip meals, I had breakfast, lunch, second lunch, 3x cake and a big dinner this evening. I am in full nesting mode, the house is gradually getting sorted, I'm keeping on top of all the cleaning/washing/cooking. I just seem to be more organised in this last week, hoping it'll stick.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

hope everyone is feeling ok, I am getting over my tiredness now, got lots more energy at work.Unfortunately this has been replaced by headaches and sore gums.. been trying to phone the dentist for 2 days now, think I am going to have to ask my manager if I can have some time to make the call tomorrow as I have been trying to get through at lunchtime with no luck.
