Amy - so pleased everything is ok, please don't overdo it though.
BZ - yay for team yellow, you have more patience than I do.
Fran - I should have gone to the butterfly house when I lived in London, Natural History is my favourite museum. Oh well, I can always take the small person when she's big enough. Sounds like a lovely day.
Pippa - welcome and congratulations :) is this your first?
Faith - cant remember if I've said welcome and congratulations to you yet :)
Jox - glad your friend was pleased for you and the weird dreams haven't reoccurred
TL - I would just ignore your sister, I frequently ignore mine. My favourite tactic is placing the phone on the floor for a few minutes, coming back saying "mmm, mmm, yes" then telling her I have to go something's come up :D
Calien - glad they'll let you Skype so he won't miss it :)
Mrsbunny - hope your uncles gf's shop opening is successful for her today.

AFM - drove to Cardiff for a girls night as OH and friends went raving in London last night. Baby kicking whilst driving is becoming quite distracting, but there wasn't much traffic so drive was ok both ways. Friends all said I'm starting to show now which is quite exciting. Still fitting into normal clothes although some jeans need top button undone, hurray for hairband trick. OH has decided he's going back with everyone to Cardiff instead of being dropped enroute, I'm not impressed as completely messes up my day as have to pick him up at 2pm from train station. Will drag him to Sainsbugs as punishment, no one wants to food shop in the state he'll be in ;)
Definitely starting to look pregnant now though, absolutely love it :)
Hope you all have a lovely relaxing Sunday x

Phew, I have been trying to do some work i the garden but the heat/baby seems to have sapped all my energy. Still I managed to make the pots look pretty. What has kept me going is the thought of sitting out there next spring with my new baby looking at the flowers.

My sling decision was made for me :D, I had mentioned a couple of makes that I would like to think about to my mum and yesterday she phoned to tell me that she had treated me to a Becco Gemini in Stella so I am very excited. I was also given a couple more bags of baby clothes so it feels as if I am ticking loads off my list.

What I really need to do is encourage the OH to get working on the nursery which is currently our dining room. At the moment the walls have been stripped and it is waiting to be painted however it is filled with all our dining room furniture and the baby things we have bought so far so there is no room to move. As excited as I am about the baby I will be a little sad to see my gorgeous dining table go as I saved hard for it and I love it. Still the room will make a wonderful nursery ;)

    afternoon ladies,

having a very relaxing day today as DH is at work all day.

Visited my uncles GF new shop yesterday with my mum, well my mum (first grandchild) just couldn't stop ooohh / ahhhhhh / isn't this so cute / oooh I want to buy etc on everything in the shop!!! In the end she only bought a little white blanket with sheep on it - advise me its going in the baby box till next year.....I didn't know she had a baby box!! :rotfl:

Brought out my sewing machine today to finish the table runner I started back in April, it is now pride of place on my dinning table. Only took me all day to finish it!! :T

I now want to make lots of cute baby things but I don't really know what to make! I don't want to fine out the sex but it would really help knowing what to make! I am on the hunt for unisex fabric to make a small quilt/play mat, going to make some bunting with our chosen name, but that is quick and easy to make after the baby is here, (though may make two with each name on then sell the other?) I really do not know what else to do - any crafty mums to be have any ideas? I am not an expert sewer, more advance beginner with a simple machine!! :rotfl:

Ohh just had a text from DH to advise he has borrowed his mates star trek dvd for tonight......wonderful! Think I will be looking on the net for craft ideas!

MrsBunny I am the same level as you re: sewing, grab a hula hoop from somewhere and make a play gym, save yours ££££s. they were 4.99 for 2 in Argos when I last checked. There's a good tutorial I found online for one, but googling should find them easy enough. I bought patterns from Sew Today to make lots of baby clothes, just need to setup my machine. They're all easy makes, nothing too taxing and unite a lot are unisex. You can make stuffed toys yourself too, or cube blocks, etc. lightshades, curtains, quilts, cot bumper, you name it there's a tutorial online for it and normally free. Oooh and dribble bibs are dead easy too.

Hi Kerri_dfw - dribble bibs, just found an online tutorial so I think I will start making some tomorrow with my stash already! what a fab idea - I would presume (1st baby) you can never have too many bibs!!!!!

I think I will be leaving the cot bedding to the shops, I don't feel that confident in making those but I think I will give curtains, play matt, stuff toys and maybe some fabric baskets ago for 'bits'. Thankyou for the ideas...lots to think about. :D:D

After saying I wasn't scared about the birth I watched The Midwives on catch up. OMG!!! it is much more realistic and gritty than OBEM in terms of what they show you. Of course the sensible thing would be not to watch it again but I know I will have a morbid fascination that will keep me glued to every episode! :o

Impressed with all the crafty mums. I have a sewing machine but wouldn't know where to start :o

I still feel knackered so haven't done much today. Keep waiting for the 2nd trimester energy boost to kick in. Fingers crossed it will in a week or two

12+6 - just realised I put 12+6 yesterday as well. It's def today. I've got such bad baby brain. Also lost my iPhone and don't have a clue where it is!:(

ETA: Sorry you get such rubbish sleep BigZ. I'd find that so difficult to cope with. I know we'll all get rubbish sleep as we progress but at least for most of us it's only temporary.

    Hi Becca
Im defo in maternity bras everyday, have been for about 2 weeks now. I bought maternity jeans and work trousers, only wore the jeans once so far and the trousers are still unused as I can *just* fit in normal wear with a hair bobble round the button for later in the day :rotfl:. I do have house clothes though - my beach dresses I bought for my holiday back in May are lovely and floaty and are not tight at all, as soon as I get in I change into these because 1. it will not be summer for much longer & 2. they are soooooooo comfortable. I have also order a dress and some tops for work which will be here this week - I do need a new wardrobe for all these new clothes!!

Well I woke up to a fab text this morning that my best friend has had another little boy, doing well for the hand me down list! My other best friend had a little girl in April and has already said I can have most things....wonder what I will have! I have a *feeling* its a boy but I think we are going to stay neutral till the birth!

Have a good bank holiday all, hope nobody is working today :(

I bought new bras at 20w, I'd been wearing 32A and was measured as a C going in D!!! Whoops, no wonder I spent most of my working from home days braless, my OH is most happy with this part of pregnancy lol.
