Morning ladies
Well I have finally had time to relax since announcing the pregnancy to everyone on Thursday. Was in bed by 9 last night and slept all the way through till 9 this morning!
My uncles girlfriend is opening a new baby shop today so I am going to pop down and say hello and have a look at her stock....hoping she does family discount!
hope you all have a lovely weekend, it is raining here

Amy, I must have cross posted with you! Hope you're both ok and you can update us soon (with good news)"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0

Not quite the same as being there but as partner will be in Zurich, they are letting us Skype so he can sort of "be there" in a way0

Well, it's good news and I'm back home. Had another speculum this morning (sorry more TMI, in fact you may as well write off the whole post on the TMI front) and they decided it's probably just watery discharge. Apparently this may well have been due to my overly energetic cleaning-and-moving-furniture-around routine that I've been up to this week and I've been told to take things easier. They did query whether there could be thrush, but won't know until the swab comes back.
In less positive news, this now means that several people I work with have been present during a VE / description of my discharge habits which I could probably have done withoutCouldn't care less about my embarassment though as long as our little lady's alright.
Calien, it's really sweet that they've let your OH skypeI know it's not the same as being there but it's lovely that he'll still get to experience it.
Mrs Bunny, hope you manage to get lots of lovely baby treats with your family discountIt must have been lovely to finally do the big family announcement
TL, yey for your OH :j Bumps are beautiful, ignore your sister!
BZ, so pleased your appointment went well and hope your questions get answered next time. It's so difficult to not be in control of exactly what happens during labour, but I hope the universe decides to get it together for you and give you a wonderful experienceHowever baby arrives, you are going to be a fabulous Mummy and I'm sure the experience will be magical.
Jox, thinking of you this weekend and hope you're okay and being pampered. Also hope the carrot dreams have stayed away!
Lily, 15 weeks to go  She'll be here in no time, beautiful and healthy and making up for all these scares she's given you. Will be thinking of you on the 3rd and hope you get some really positive news.
Birdie, I'm with you on the birth plan front... I keep having half ideas and making statements - but am refusing to tie it all together into a coherent plan, it just sounds so scary. I think I'm still a little bit in denial that this baby won't magically arrive without any work or decisions on my part :rotfl:
Becca, I hope telling your friends went well and you now have lots of happy and excited people ready to spoil you and baby
Hope you're well Kerri and Fran, sorry if I've missed anybody out - I'm a bit sleep deprived! I am so ridiculously excited about 'graduating' with all you lovely ladies, I know it sounds ridiculous but I think I'm going to be almost as thrilled about some of your births and babies as I am about my own0 -
Glad you're ok amy, I'm always impressed when I see posts like yours speaking to everyone, wish I could be like that, I'd have to take notes
Thanks for thinking of me.
I dreamt about Kate Moss last night, she bought me a goody bag with perfumes and make up, no strange baby dreams
I picked up a baby on board badge at an underground station yesterday, I showed it to a friend as a way of announcing my good news, she was thrilled for me, she knows I've been trying for years!
Calien that's great your partner can be there on skype, technolgy is the best.

So glad things seem to be ok for you Amy.
Must have been so worrying.
BigZ - was minizee keeping you awake? Online at 2am! I am sleeping so much just now and anything after 10pm feels so late to me.
For those of you who still have to buy maternity clothes, Mamas and Papas have 30% off this weekend plus some items are 3 for 2 as well. I got 4 tops and some jeans
As for birth plans I just want to get pain relief and get it out. I'm definitely having an epidural with some gas and air plus diamorphine while I'm waitingI found the pain unbearable. As this little bubba will be my third I'm not really scared. I know it will be ok as long as I get the pain relief I need.

My conditions generally mean I don't sleep properly/normally, and getting comfortable is getting more difficult as time goes on, too;) I loved the stage where 10.30pm was definitely bedtime - I found it so unusual!

Hello, im joining you! Am currently 12+1 and am due March8th. I had my dating scan on Friday and was put a few days ahead of where I thought I was. I've suddenly reached the 12 week milestone and it still all seems abit surreal.
Early on I was really suffering from morning sickness, but luckily that's all hopefully passed now. I still don't feel pregnant, have no bump yet, and was quite surprised when a baby suddenly appeared on screen Friday.
I'm more of a lurker than a poster, I read the TTC thread and then the less than 12 week thread almost religiously:)0 -
Welcome Pippa! Hope everyone's enjoying the long weekend!
Took the bump for a cultural day out in london yesterday with hubby, V&A museum for lunch and Asian art, natural history museum for the butterfly house (really loved this!) and it a was great if very soggy day.
Staying in bed this morning and my cousin is popping in for coffee later with his girlfriend. Family get together tomorrow at folks house. It's my birthday next week hence all the fun/ family plans!
Going maternity shopping next Saturday with Mum, think the list is: mat tights, bump bands. Tshirts, jeans, work trousers, swim wear. Anything I've missed?!
