Ladies who were ttc a long time... I have a question. I *think* a close friend of mine has been ttc a while but I'm not entirely sure. I really don't know how to tell her about the pregnancy. If it were me before I got pg, I would much rather have a text or email so I could deal with it and then congratulate them. However, I don't want to do that without knowing for sure. Really dont know what to do for the best?!

Does your friend know about your struggles to conceive? If she does know I'm sure she'll be happy for you no matter how you tell her. I agonised over telling one of my friends who I 'knew' was TTC and told her in person because I wanted to give her a little comfort and show I understood how she felt... turns out I needn't have worried as they weren't even BDing more than once a month so whilst I'd been confiding in her about how difficult it all was and she'd been acting like she knew exactly how I was feeling she was actually full of sh!te and waiting for an immaculate conception... hmph. Anyway, my little rant aside, how about a phone call to your friend? More personal than a text but she can have a little cry if she needs to.

Wow Birdie that's weird! Lol. We don't really talk on the phone, we either text or meet up. I think I'm just going to tell her when I see her next week. I'm not even 100% sure they are TTC, I'll just be sensitive about it and not make a huge great big announcement I think.

Re birth plans: Mine consists of not flat-lining on the operating theatre. I just want her here.

Ahhh your last 15 weeks will fly Lily!

I haven't thought about a birth plan at all, just leave the professionals to it and hope the baby gets out as quickly as possible! Need to think about it and look into all the ways of dealing with pain etc but it's too scary to think about this early on!

My official EDD is the same as before, 3rd march which is DHs 30th!

My cousin has just announced her pregnancy on fb, that will bring her up to 4 children!

She's due in Feb, so am I but I haven't told anyone in the family yet.

I'm paranoid that I'll tell everyone then have to tell them bad news after.

I had a misc this time last year - 25th Aug so that might be a dodgy day..

I dreamed my baby was a carrot last night, funny what anxiety does to you!

Got a letter in the post yesterday with an Obstetrics appointment for 5th Sept, not sure what that's for. 20 wk scan will be on 30th Sept.
