TTC - I'm going to see Robbie too! Which day are you going on? We go on Friday, so 7 more sleeps now! Am so excited! :j:j

Babamoose - I didn't think I would miss the vino that much after TTC for so long. But then I did actually drink during TTC - just not so much after ov each month. I do miss it sometimes :o Especially after a hard hay, or when its a really sunny day in the garden - a peak koppenburg would go down a treat! I did really enjoy a couple of alcohol free koppenburgs tho. They are a bit pricey, but not compared to real alcohol which I would have happily spent money on previously! I also have some shloer as well which is nice.

My appetite is still rubbish! I had toast for brekkie, and for lunch we have fat Friday at work - so this week we had burger and chips. Now it was a big burger, so I managed maybe 3/4 of that and 1/2 the chips - but I haven't been in the slightest bit hungry since! This is soooooo unlike me pre-pregnancy. I guess its nothing to worry about tho? I weigh less still than when I got my BFP - but I guess it will catch up later? I was thin when I got pregnant with DD and ate for England. I regularly put on 4-5lbs per week :o:o Obv, I don't want to be doing the same this time round - but it just confuses me. If I could manage to have this little appetite when dieting I would be laughing!!!
 Married my lobster in July 2011

TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait :o

 2013 is going to be our lucky year

    Morning all,

Was wondering if anyone has experience of buying a pram second hand from eBay?

The one I like is only in black and blue in store but I have seen some pretty patterned ones on eBay. I haven't ever bought from eBay before (although my family does a lot) and I'm not really sure what to look out for. Any advice please???

    Thanks

I've got ours off ebay. Search locally so you can go round and have a look, and pick it up if you're happy with it.

Hi everyone, apologies for going a little off topic here... but do you ever have one of those days at work where you just think - It's fine, I'll go home and ignore all this and put my feet up with a large glass of wine and forget about it............ and then realise that you can't have the large glass of wine anymore :(

I haven't been bothered at all by the lack of drink, however the taste of wine being off was my first indication 'something was up' :)

Has anyone found any suitable alternatives, or do I sound like I have a problem :o

I'm having a can of Bavaria shandy as we speak. 0.3 units of alcohol. Rock & roll! I like it though & it's a bit of a treat.

BabaMoose - at least once a week at work I fancy coming home and having a drink lol. Have abstained completely but was missing Pimms. My cousin recommended schweppes summer punch (in the fizzy aisle & currently £1 for 2ltrs in Tesco) and I have mint, strawberries and cucumber to put in it! I can't tell the difference. :-) x

I tried this but didn't like it. Mind you I'm not that keen on Pimms either.

I'm going on Wednesday to see Robbie.

I am still a few pounds lighter too (although overweight to start). Really pleased about this - until someone at work says 'I didn't either & then ballooned at 24 weeks' (or similar).

I agree, would be great to have this appetite when dieting. Hope it sticks with me.

Poppy - Lilymay has already given some great advise; there's really no reason not to buy second hand/ from ebay etc. You will probably find you get a lot more for your money! With a pram I would make sure it wasn't too far to travel too so you can view it first. Good luck x

So is it acceptable to ask to see it before buying? Or do you have to make the purchase and then go round to pick it up and work out if you're happy or not?
Just found an absolute bargain ten mins from me, and I don't know the eBay etiquette!!

I'd definitely PM them and ask if you can pop round and see the item. I've sold things and people have come to view beforehand, as a seller it gave me confidence that someone was going to go ahead with the purchase... you'd be surprised how many times people won and then didn't show/pay.

Fab I'll drop the seller a polite note then, thanks!:o

Poppy my tip is to ask does anyone in the family smoke or are there dogs/ cats in the house as I bought a lovely pram off ebay and only when home in my own house did we notice a cigarette smell.

Primark currently have some lovely plain vest tops in loads of colours for £2. The best bit is they're really long and cover an ever growing bump. I may have picked up one of each colour...
