Toothfairy and Pigpen, hand, foot and mouth was my conclusion by the end of yesterday too so took him to the docs after work today. Anyway the doctor I saw although very pleasant spouted the biggest pile of nonsense at me. He says rashes are just "your body's constitution trying to get rid of bad stuff" and viruses are just "basically bad stuff coming out". No attempt at a diagnosis just prescribed sulphur tablets to help his immune system "clear it all out"
Don't get me wrong, I'm a Biology teacher, I know viruses can't really be treated with meds, I just wanted advice on what to put on his feet- powder to dry or cream to moisturise. Still convinced its hand, foot and mouth but now also certain we should change doctors asap lol.
So anyway, past few days we've been putting baby powder on his feet to help reduce sweatiness, seems to be helping so will continue.
Meanwhile baby is getting more wriggly by the day :) And my bump is very obvious

Thanks ladies for all the congratulations on our team Blue. Took 25hrs to get hold of hubby to tell him - our 9yo was hyper waiting to tell everyone lol - thought she might self-combust waiting! :j Hubby is over the moon to finally be able to pass down the family name, go to football, and play cowboys (whatever that is lol).

Congrats to Maire and MiffyMoo on your scans.

Does anyone else feel like the weeks roll by after you get past 12wks?

As for being hormonal - I had tears welling in my eyes and a lump in my throat at work yesterday! I work in Social Services and someone called to ask for help and I nearly blubbed at the situation she was in (all good now though). I cried at our daughter on stage performing last week too! I'm not a heartless person by any means but blimey - I have no self control over the blubbing these days.

Oh yes! The first 12 weeks dragged and dragged for me and then the rest of the time just vanished in the blink of an eye. Mind you, the final bit is dragging. A lot lol.

Hehe yes I remember being overdue very well - 17 days my first was late! Huge labour vibes to you and Dida. Be nice if you went into labour today - my labours have only been 3.5 & 2hrs so there's still time. Xx

My sister was 17 days over with my nephew as well but they have since changed the rules here - thank gawd. I can't imagine another five days of being like this.

I would just love a fast delivery. It would be heavenly! I hope that your next one is just as fast x

Thank you - I'm hoping the next one is like the last although I've already had one of those nasty vivid dreams about waters breaking and giving birth in tesco!!!

I think the max here is 12 days over but they wouldn't listen to me re:my dates and put them back 17 days at the 12wk scan. They wanted to put it back a further 3wks at my 20wk scan but that meant I had found out I was pregnant before I had even gotten pregnant as I found out v early! Baby was just small and because she was so overdue, her skin was like old peeling paint.
They wanted to change my dates by 12 days with my other child too but I told them I would hold them responsible if anything went wrong due to their changing my dates so we kept it at my LMP - she was born on time and perfect.

It's so exciting. Fingers crossed today is your day. :-) xx

nooo!!! Think of the freebies! Waters should break in places like Selfridges or Harvey Nicks and not Tesco lol

Oh gawd, that sounds awful. It's one thing to change your dates by a few but 10+ is something completely else. I wouldn't be very happy at all if the hospital did that with me. Good on you for standing your ground. x

That is terrible AngelMommy about all the hassle you had with your dates. I understand that they go by measurements but sometimes you definitely know when you conceived.
With DS they changed my dates meaning he was supposedly conceived while OH was away on a course. He was actually conceived 6 days later, imagine the amount of problems it could of caused if OH didn't trust be 100%

Has anyone got any experience of which baby slings are best? Never had one for DS but considering having one even if just for a couple of months while DS adjusting to going without his buggy full time.

Thera er some great carriers/slings out there I have a Manduca, a Babasling (don't really use this now as DD is almost 15 mths) a Opitai and a couple of wraps. They need to be well supported and their legs should be in a M shape don't have then dangling like some well know brands like Baby Bjorn as this is not good for their hips.

Maybe have a look at http://www.littlepossums.co.uk/choosing.htm

Also there are loads of pages on fb where there are loads of people selling/buying and giving advice. Pm me if you want me to point you in the right direction.
