Poppy it's defiantly worth asking if you can view before auction ends! At least you can see if its any good then. I wish we would have got our first pram second hand, we bought it new paid a couple of hundred (which was cheap) then when baby was 12 weeks he outgrew carrycot and screamed if facing out. So I ended up buying another pram anyway! I'm now on my third but we won't talk about that!
I weighed myself at 6 weeks, I had gained 6lbs... Then I've weighed myself since and I'm back down again! My bump is really getting big now so glad everyone knows as I couldn't disguise it! I'm struggling a little with eating as I just keep getting heartburn/ reflux.
I'm starting to plan baby's roomfound some lovely owl wall decals

Hey, just following on from the Ebay posting (slightly)...
I've found lots of local Facebook groups that are either giving away free baby items or selling for v good prices (and obviously no postage as they are local). Might be worth a gander for those that use the site.
Just caught up with an old friend (haven't spoke to in about 6 years) and he excitedly announced to me that him & his partner were about 5 months pregnant... turns out our due dates are just a couple days apart! Meant we had lots of common ground as well as catching up on the old stuff0 -
Hi Ladies
Hope you are all having a good weekend? Haven't read back yet but will do so in a bit.
Finally got baby to cooperate for the 20 week scan (at 23 weeks!) and everything looked well. We are still going for a suprise much to MIL's annoyance! Got a fab photo and even saw baby's mouth move whilst the sonographer was showing us the face!!! SO amazing I could have stayed there all day!

Not sure but I will be going to the pharmacy today to find out as I am suffering as well!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I went to see the GP a few weeks ago re hayfever.
She had a read through her medicine book & prescribed Loratadine as a antihistamine with no known side effects.
She also gave me Fluticasone nasal spray & Sodium cromoglicate eye drops - I'm no medic by the way, just copying this off my repeat prescription form!
The advice from her & the dispensing pharmacist was to try usual prevention stuff to minimise hayfever (obviously) & then only take the antihistamines when needed (rather than as a matter of course of a daily basis).
They said the nasal spray/ eye drops aren't going to make it to the blood stream so fine to use as required.
I usually take local pollen capusules as a natural remedy but haven't taken them this year. A natural rememdy is meant to be a spoonful of local honey, but have never tried this.
Happy Fathers Day to our OHs - I wished it to my DH this morning & he said 'but I'm not a father' - no one can call him sloppy, glad I didn't buy him a card from the bump!0 -
I've been using hay max, it's an organic drug free pollen barrier (you put a bit at the bottom of each nostril - it's not as horrible as it sounds honest!), got it from boots. I was sceptical but I can really tell when I forget to use it so it is definitely helpingAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Hi everyone, been missing in action for the last couple of weeks but I have been trying to read up as much as I can.
Congrats to everyone on their scans there seems to be a run of team blue!
Ive been suffering from back spasms the last week, it started as what I thought was a kidney infection, cue a trip to out of hours gp as it was so painful given painkillers and antibotics, then we were back down in a and e the next day as the pain was worst and coming in waves, the pain killers werent even touching it.
My mum worried the hell out of me by worrying and suggesting it could be back labour starting  but ive never known pain like it, really makes me worry what labour will be like now and whether ill be able to cope! But the docs think its back spasms now and a hot water bottle when it flares up really helps it.
Anyone else getting problems with their backs? If I vacuum or go out the garden im like an old woman in the night and really painful hips the next day and now with back spasms as well its really getting me down and I havent even got the weight of a big bump yet. The joys of pregnancy!
But to counteract that I was sat in bed last night watching a party going on in my belly, I could feel the kicks and for the first time was able to watch my belly move and bounce at the same time, lovely to watch, although oh was sleeping so he missed it, hes still not yet even felt one kick, shes always shy when he tries.
I must have been feeling soft today, I made a make shift father to be card for oh, with a copy of one of the scan pictures that we have, bless him he actually seemed really touched which is very unlike him!
Hoping everyone has a relaxing sunday.

Re hayfever, my midwife told me if it gets really bad, the doc can prescribe piriton, so I may take that occasionally if it does get bad, only thing is it knocks me out - mind you, my symptoms are worse at night so may be no bad thing. I can't take loratidine, it makes me sick. Boots sell a nasal spray that is safe for use in pregnancy, can't remember the name of the top of my head - it is expensive, about a tenner, not been using it long enough to tell if its worth it or not.
Cleofish, I feel your pain (literally!), I've been signed off work last week and this week with back pain, that goes into my hip. It is agony at times, and I really hope it doesn't get any worse over the next 14 weeks!0
