I was prescribed the same nasal spray and eye drops as TTC40, they have really helped. My Dr mentioned Loratadine but wouldn't prescribe it as its untested but there are no reported problems so would prescribe if I needed it desperately. I've also been having a spoon of local honey (in a hot drink) my symptoms are much improved!!
Cleo my back has been terrible too. I find I can't stand for too long or even walk for long. Is it just your back? Just wondering as I also have spd so my pelvis/ pubic bone are v painful. Please take it easy xxxxTrying to save for a deposit

Just need some reassurance please ladies. Dd2 caught a sick bug from school on Thursday and as hubby been away 6wks, it was down to me to clean it up etc. Thought I had gotten away with it but been horrendously sick last 12 hours. Baby will be ok, won't he? He is moving about in there but I'm starting to worry as cant even keep sips of water down at the mo. too scared to ring mw as last time I called them, they weren't very nice and I found it deeply upsetting and went on to lose the baby. Baby will be fine but you could ring out of hours doctor and ask for some anti sickness medication.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Got Dh a card which he found sweet this morning, and he felt winegum move for the first time today - said it was her present to her Daddy
Same here! I gave card to OH who was really pleased and then as baby was doing some mexican wave type moves OH finally got to feel it too! (I have an anterior placenta so it's been a long time coming, I have felt things since about 19 weeks but poor OH has had to be patient, best father's day present though!:j)
In other news we went pram browsing today. We have fallen in love with the Babystyle Oyster, mainly because it folds so small and we only have a small car but it also has lots of good extras and the shop let us push it around and fold/unfold it, put it in the boot etc so it was brilliant! I wanted to buy it and bring it home and play with it today but OH is much more sensible than I am!
Hope everyone has a great Sunday evening/afternoon,

Are you meaning Prevalin? I got some today. Again, not been using it long enough to know if it works but worth a try!0 -
Hi all, My GP (not the best tbh) prescribed me Cetirizine last week (for hayfever) looked in the book and no antihistamines are supposed to be counter-indicated (known to be a problem) in pregnancy.
Don't feel 100% confident about taking them but need something at the moment.
I don't suffer allergies as bad when pregnant- got to be some advantages to immune-suppressionbut past couple of weeks have been so muggy. And for various reasons I've been outdoors a lot.
Top tips tho tp minimise meds:
1. Rub vaseline around entrances to nostrils and below your nose and eyes. Good for your skin and traps pollen. Inside nostrils too makes it even more effective. (sounds gross but actually feels ok)
2. wear sunglasses.
3. Wash hands and face with cool water when you get home and put cucumber on eyes.
Was at a BBQ today and a retired midwife asked how far along I was, "7 months?" I felt a tad stressed saying I'm only 5 months
She then started going on about big babies being easier to push out. (not knowing my last one was 9lb 10 and an emergency section.) I said the weight of my first and she said "oh this one'll be a ten pounder then"
DH arrived on the scene at that point and said he thinks I want a 6lb baby this time lol2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013
