Had my scan - baby is all good, yay! Asked sonographer to write gender on a bit of paper I had prepared in a brown envelope (so I couldn't see through!) and explained that we will open it when hubby back in UK. By time she did all measurements etc, she just blurted out that its a boy! Was a bit shocked and she felt awful when she then remembered! Kept apologising. Can't even tell hubby as since yesterday, they can only use wifi once a day - early in the morning! I thought it would be a girl as we already have 2 and I'm 1 of 4 girls but apparently we're team blue! Hubby will be delighted!
Glad your scans went well too sali & babamoose - all three of us having a boy! :-)

Aww I'm so pleased for you angelmommy. I bet she felt awful about blurting it out. The main thing is that bubs is good.

Good morning
AngelMommy - congrats on Team Blue - sorry the sonographer spoilt your surprise though. Have fun telling hubby
Fluffysox - oh no. Hope your son is ok. Get well soon!
tiny_courageous - thanks for that. Baby will use DD's cotbed, but it's too big for our bedroom, so I am going to leave that in DD's room for baby to sleep in during the day. The moses basket will stay downstairs, so I want a nice but inexpensive cot for our room for night time , that doesn't take up too much space! Will take a trip to Ikea next week I think.
lippy - the mw here lets us listen o the heartbeat at every appointment from 16 weeks too. It is nice and reassuring. Hope you get to hear it.
Congrats on Saliand BabaMoose on Team blue :j
Hugs abis[/B - it must be difficult for you. Don't be too hard on yourself x
Ok, that's as far as I can scroll back. Hope I haven't missed any other scan announcements - sorry if I have, and welcome to newly second trimester ladies!
Afm, had my anomaly scan and all was very, very good. Baby was being a pickle and curled up in a ball and then doing all sorts of somersaults. Eventually, the lady got all the measurements that she needed. Anyway, no sex finding out here! We were tempted but didn't cave. I'm super excited now to not know until baby is born
Having a bit of a lazy day at home with DD. Trying to clean the living room but she keeps emptying all of her toys out of the toybox. I think I'll give up in a min!

Afternoon Ladies
Congrats on healthy scans and team blues!
Lippy - my midwife said they didn't normally listen to the hb at 16 weeks but seeing as I was early for my appointment and she had time she listened and found it straight away. Hope you get to hear yours too! I think she also did it because I said I had a doppler (which I had a minor telling off for) and she wanted to check I had been listening to the right thing (i.e. not my hb or the placenta).
Fluffy - hope your little one gets better soon!
Tiny - I have also been feeling more and seeing bump move, I like balancing random things on my bump and seeing if baby kicks them. I also have a belly button bar and had to remove it during my first 20 week scan (was a bit of a mission, had it done when I was 18! [STRIKE]13 years ago[/STRIKE])
Be nice - hope you get some movement very soon!
AFM, I have my second 20 week scan tomorrow morning after baby was being shy/awkward last time so hoping we get a picture and it behaves itself! We are also not finding out the sex Miffy so will be having a suprise too!
Having a lazy day off work today so have just been to sainsburys and bought my OH a father's day card (writing happy father's to be day inside!). Wasn't going to but then couldn't resist. Have just signed it from bump
Hope everyone has a good afternoon and evening, not long until the weekend now......xx

Good afternoon,
I just did the Chinese Sex Predictor and it says I'm having another girl. DH will be so pleased!!
I have a gut feeling this is going to be another girl as so far the pregnancy has been almost identical to my first one, but then saying that my mother said all of her's were the same and she had 2 girls and 1 boy.
I want another girl especially as DH says if we have another girl we can *possibly* try for another one after to see if we get a boy, but knowing his luck he'll have a house full of woman :rotfl:
I'm so jealous of all of you having your scans. My 20 week scan isn't until the beginning of July, wish the time would speed up!!
I have my 1st mw appointment tomorrow and from memory I'm sure they listen to the hb.Got married 13/11/10

Anyone know when we get our MATB1 forms to give work? Have a midwife appointment next week at 23 weeks and wondering will i get it then? Also, does anyone know if the midwife will be able to do me a letter for easyjet who apparently need one to let you fly after 28 weeks... Or will this have to be done by a doctor?0

Hi Toothfairy - I think you just have to ask for your form, I don't have mine yet but I'm going to ask at my 24wk appointment. I read earlier that some people on here got theirs as early as 20-21 weeks when they asked for the form.
Not sure about the flying form though - sorry! Interested in the response though because I might be after one in the summer.0
