Good luck Nessie and TTC for your second 20 week scans - be lovely to see bubs for a second time!

I've been doing the same and just wearing maxi dresses at the mo. George at Asda have nice ones, and they are quite forgiving so I just buy the next size up to accommodate bump. Got a lovely stretchy black maxi from Asos too, non-maternity. Doesn't matter if bump makes the front ride up a bit as I'm too short for most maxi dresses anyway, so it just means they are finally the right length! :rotfl:

Haven't bought any proper maternity wear yet apart from 1 pair of jeans and leggings. Luckily I usually wear stretchy or baggy tops and jersey dresses, so far bump is fitting into a few of my summer clothes from last year.

Wore a lovely asda maxi at the weekend for OH's birthday party, can't find it on the website though to show you.

OH felt bubs move last night - lovely :)

Hi Ladies, Please can I join?

I've been posting on the less that 12 weeks thread, but had my first scan last week and I'm now 12 +1 today :) Scan went well, all looks healthy. Had my blood tested for DS which I should hear about sometime this week I hope! Fingers crossed all is well.

Have my 20 week scan booked for August, which seems like soooo far away. I'm really excited and almost wishing away the next month or so lol. I havn't told work yet. Not really sure how to break the news, or when

Hi lippy - I think a lot depends on what your job entails, I told my employer early (8 weeks) after paying for a private early scan purely as I work in a lab and knew there would be things That wouldn't be safe for me to do while pregnant.

Hi lippy and welcome! I told mine at 13 weeks after i had my scan. I think most bosses expect things like this to happen and take it pretty well so i wouldn't worry too much!

P.s dont forget to add yourself to the list. :)

Hello ladies. I'm turning into a paranoid freak as each hour passes. Have my 20wk scan tomorrow afternoon and was really excited to see little bean again.....until today. Now all that keeps going through my head is all the bad things they could tell me about baby. Doesn't help that I can't talk to hubby and he can't come as he's still out of the country. Just really panicking. I can feel baby kicking me which is reassuring but really starting to work myself up over it. I lost a baby end of Nov and saw its heart had stopped via a scan so know its my insecurities from that but please can someone give me a big slap round the face with a wet fish - I need to get a grip!!!
    Sorry for rant. Xx

Angel, you're not alone in such thoughts & even more understandable after your experience. As Fluffy as said, think about any movement/ stretching you have felt.

Is someone going to share the joy with you?

  • good luck Nessie, TTC and Angelmommy. Hugs Angelmommy x it's so hard not to worry.

welcome Lippy. I told work after my 12 week scan and they were delighted for me :)

Still no movement yet, darn anterior placenta. I guess I still must be pregnant as I'm growing visibly each week. MW appointment next Tuesday so hopefully she can find a heartbeat and I'll get some reassurance that way. 23+4
