Thank you ladies - you're all lovely. My mom is coming and also my 9yo daughter (16yo has exam unfortunately). I slept better than I thought I would, thank goodness but damn those nasty vivid dreams I'm getting a lot! Will hopefully be back with good news later. Xxx

    Welcome Lippy

Hope the scan goes ok Angelmommy

I had my 16 week check up today and I was really upset. The midwife was fine, my urine is normal, bloods are normal, blood pressure normal etc. I think its just the memories of being in a little office, and the sadness. I've managed to cry at every single appointment / scan so far. I thought I was getting over it any enjoying it now, but I guess underneath it all the anxiety is still there :( DH didn't come either which I don't think helped and he had forgotten all about it :(

Big hugs Abi. Remember though, you are 17 weeks and your baby is PERFECT! Nothing has ever gone wrong for you as late as this and you have no reason to think it ever will. You can and have made a great baby before so have some faith in your body. Everything will be fine for you :)

Hugs Abis it's perfectly understandable that you get upset after what you've been through xx

I've been collecting the Emma's diary/ bounty packs. I know it's free but they are a little disappointing especially all the expired vouchers :( seem to have somehow collected 2 of the same pack so 2 packs of free wipes! The free bounty towel is quite good. Not received anything through the post as yet from baby clubs.

OK - you made me cry again Lily! Bloomin hormones are not helping in the slightest of course at the mo :o

I can feel the baby moving now, and we have the Doppler too which is nice as the midwife wouldn't listen in at this stage to the heartbeat. So I feel ok and happy most of the time. Maybe its just the appointments and things - something more official that I am stressing over. I did tell DH I would be fine on my own - but then clearly wasn't. Have told him he has to come to everything else in future with me no matter how 'ok' I think I am beforehand :o

I haven't collected any of the freebies yet KScarlett. I guess I am a little more messed up than I thought I was about it all still :o I don't want to sign up to things and have mail appearing if things don't work out. But like Lily says - theres no reason to think that things won't work out at this stage now.

Pffft, think I need a couple of early nights and a talking to! DD is with her dad at the mo, and I defo need a magic hug from her! She'll be back tomorrow tho.

I'm meeting another facepainter later - shes sooooo much better than me and I learnt loads from her last time I saw her so am looking forward to it. I think she might be painting my bump too which will make a nice change!! I said I would have to puff it out tho to make it look more of a pregnancy bump than a tubby one!!!

I managed to get a bundle of maternity clothes from a friend the other day - so I'm really pleased with that. Will be nice to be comfortable in my clothes and not want to go to work in my jamas anymore, lol!!

    Hi everyone!

Just had my 20wk scan today and... I'm team Blue :)

I have to go back on Monday 24th as he wouldn't show his face... after being asked to go for a 10minute walk and take a pee to try to get him to move, we came back and he was doing ninja impressions and was completely curled up having none of it... Wonder where he gets that attitude from :A

AngelMommy - hope your scan goes well/has gone well today! Also hope you get to see more of your bean and its more cooperative than mine :)

Managed to snag some maternity wear from H&M and Mamas and Papas that was in the sale that will do for work, so I'm a happy lady :) Think anymore will come from Ebay etc. though... surprised about how little Mat. wear I can find in shops!

Interestingly... I have just come back from a weekend in Rome where:
    1. I found that being on a plane made not only my ears pop, but also my belly - so I'm glad I didn't just pack my usual clothes!
    2. Security at airports are very lenient against pregnant ladies... don't think I showed my passport photo to anyone, just waddled towards them and got waved onwards. Bit worrying?!

Hope everyone is doing wonderfully :)
I didn't get my scan picture today because of how awkward he was being (HE! I get to stop saying it!), but hopefully I'll get a good one a week on Monday... he has definitely grown, and has completely somersaulted from the original pic!

    xx

I'm glad you can feel movements Abis it does reassure you. I didn't feel much over the weekend and was panicking but beans made up for it since. I know what you mean about freebies, with my first pregnancy I signed up literally when I got a BFP however after 2 mcs I left it until last week (15 weeks) I was so scared telling people once we had our 12 week scan so told most people at 14 weeks.

Congrats on Team Blue Baba! Can't wait to find out what we are having :)

My bumps getting pretty big, I've bought a few second hand bits and one new top. Could do with a few more bits but no local clothes shops selling maternity bits and don't want to spend too much buying online. Once H&M sort out my address issues I will probably order a couple of tops. Can't believe how much comfier maternity clothes are I never bought any last time as if anything I got smaller (severe sickness)

We were really undecided about finding out, but in the end I couldn't resist and asked the sonographer who showed us everything. She was really nice actually, she talked us through everything and explained what she was checking for, and when I shed a tear she asked if it was because she was pressing too hard on my belly, bless her!

Had a little wander around Mamas and Papas with OH after and bought a couple of cute little toys, trying to resist buying too much until a bit later on. Mum confessed that she's been buying clothes, so we won't have to get many.

Hope everyone is doing well, good luck to everyone else having scans today!
