They give the MATB1 form any time after 21 weeks I think so just ask when you see the mw.
Also I'm flying with Easyjey and from what I have found on their website they don't care if you fly up to 35 weeks (unless it's twins or there have been complications) http://easyjet.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5552/kw/pregnant
Someone mentioned it on another thread that the form is more for your travel insurance. Also it depends on your doctor's surgery some of them charge a fee for a letter, but I think it has to come from the doctor, I'd give them a ring to find out.Got married 13/11/10

I was given mine at my 22 week appointment with no prompting. Probably depends on your surgery, hopefully your midwife can do the letter, takes up to 3 weeks to get anything from the GP :mad:0 -
I don't have another midwife appt until 28 weeks now :eek:
My MATB1 won't strictly be necessary tho seeing as there are only 3 people in the company, the boss is my brother and I deal with all the payroll and admin side anyways.
My midwife appts are few and far between, but I think that's because this is my 2nd? I do have a consultant appt at around 23 weeks I think, and obv my scan in the meantime as well - so I am not totally abandoned. It just doesn't seem much I suppose.
Awww, angelmommy - I think I would have been a bit cross - altho nothing the sonographer could have done once she had said it I suppose. I would be terrible in a job like that - my poker face is rubbish and I always manage to say the wrong thing n stuffHave you managed to get in touch with DH about it?
Fluffysox - hope your DS is better soon x
Is anyone else really struggle with mood swings?
DH 'dared' to cook his own tea the other night as I was later in than he thought - and I was hopping mad. Like, well over the top mad for the situation.
And then today I've also made an error and arranged to go away for the weekend with DH & DD, only her dad rang up earlier to find out what time he would be having her on fathers day and I had gotten the dates mixed up - I thought it was on the 23rd not this sunday. I am really upset, as obviously we will have to cancel our plans now, but I cried almost hysterically for a good 15 mins about it and could still have a sob about it now.
The other day I was over the top giddy & happy as well - so at least I am getting the other end of the scale - but I'm sure I must be irritating to others when I am >that< giddy as well.
Any tips????

Excellent, thanks everyone! Will ask for it when I go next week. Easyjet apparently want a letter between 28-35 weeks it says here Lola. Although i also saw that bit you posted which doesn't say you need anything! Confusing.0

My midwife said she'd give me my MAT1B at my next appointment which is 25 weeks. Have emailed HR to give them my provisional dates for Mat leave etc and said I'd forward it on when I get it. Mind you, our HR is worse than useless. I'm going to try to arrange a meeting with them before I go off to see what options I have re flexible working when I get back to work. They say they offer compressed hours which would be great as I could stay full time but work 4 days a week but I can see them throwing hurdles in the way. Might explore part time as well.0

I'd probably get one then just in case, but I'm only going to be 20 weeks when I fly so I'm okay. Fingers crossed the GP doesn't charge you too much.Got married 13/11/10

I'm hoping ill get my form at my next mw appointment which is when I'm 24 1/2 weeks pregnant so cutting it fine, but I've booked the rest of my leave (so I can finish earlier but without it being maternity leave) and told Hr the date I'm hoping to start maternity leave and when I should get my official form to bring in and they're fine with that, I guess they're used to women not being given the mat1b much before they have to actually hand it in!
Unsure when to ask work if I can go back part time after maternity leave, I'd like to get it all sorted before I finish, as if I can't go back part time on 'normal' hours ill have to find another job as it just isn't practical to do the hours I currently work with a child (2-10pm this week with an hours drive home, and Dh works rotating shifts of days & nights), but I guess most people don't ask about working part time till they're actually on maternity leave although I'd rather not have the hassle of waiting for them to decide while I'm off for them to say no and me have to keep an eye out for another job closer to home.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Re: MatB1 I asked at 21 weeks (second attempt at 20 week scan) and they said the usually give out around 25 weeks. I just said that we are supposed to hand them to employers by 25 weeks and my next MW appt isn't til 28 weeks? So anyway one of the midwives did it there and then. So basically- make sure you ask for it
Thanks for all the well wishes for my little boy x No more spots today and they are none on his torso so I don't think its chickenpoxAlso he has been much happier today. Nevertheless need to make a GP appt for him to see what it is. All round his toes the skin is red raw. Took him last week and doc said athletes foot. Gave us cream but he screams when you touch his toes never mind rub the cream in and after a week they're no better. So have now given up on the cream and I'm putting baby powder on which he rubs in himself. That combined with the worst of the spots being on his hands, feet, wrists and ankles with a few round his mouth make me wonder if its all connected?

lozza if you know roughly what you want you might as well ask for it. Judging from my experiences of myself and friends tho it really depends on your management at work. Some um and ah until the last minute or worse say one thing then change their mind later. Others are great and will accommodate most requests.
Personally I'm the one who struggled to make my mind up. In my school they'll only reduce timetable by a percentage- they won't guarantee whole days or even half days off each week. To make it worse- teachers timetables aren't produced til the end of August at the earliest, thankfully I have pretty flexible childminders. Would be madness to work say 50% so only get half pay if I'm in every day. Currently I work 70% but I'm in 4 full days and tbh there is no way I'd be able to manage 80% in that time, I would be bringing too much work home. 8:20am to 4:45pm plus travel is enough for me to cope with. Especially when LO is ill etc. I will probably ask for a further reduction when I return this time. Perhaps 60%. But I'll leave it til after Christmas to decide.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Hi all.
Wonderful scan yesterday! Couldn't believe the detail and the amount baby has changed since 12 weeks!
It looks like we are team pink though legs were crossed so not 100%.
I'm 21 weeks today. It's going to fly now!
Hope all are well.
