Hi bcs, ooo exciting - your pram has been delivered! Have you had a play? Mum's are funny but I'm so daft I'll probably follow the advice. We're gonna ask mil to look after it as she has more room but still I can't imagine she'll be particularly chuffed! Is your spare room a real spare or a nursery to be?

We've had ours round OH's parents since we picked it up from Mamas and Papas. It's in their spare room. I'm superstitious too! Will leave it there until bubs is safely here. Everything else will be going in his nursery when we move at the weekend :)

Hiya, does anyone know what time claire's scan is/was? I'm excited to hear how she got on.

Digi it's funny how superstition gets us all but I never walk under ladders or over 3 drains so I'm defo not risking this one either!! I know I'm daft. You must be really excited about moving now? You've done well time wise to get out of lugging the heavy stuff hee hee. I hope you have a smooth move and they hook your broadband up quickly! I look forward to seeing pics of your nursery if you plan to post any.

doglover i know that feeling. i'm so shattered today. even tho my little one wasn't sick again in the night , i kept waking as was worried. coffee has been my savior today.

Hubby phoned saying he had just witness an accident, he as his workmate were first on the scene of a coach rolling down a hill and crashing into a bus stop. the coach had 8 and 9 yr old on. no one appears to be injured just in shock. the driver passed out. he was interviewd for the radio and he said he and his mate had the task of checking under bus to make sure no one was under the coach( could of been standing at the bus stop) . he said it was all quite frigtening how quick it all happened. luckily hubby and his mate are both first aiders, so know how to stay calm in a situation . the kids are now sat listening to radio waiting to hear daddy again.bless.

well the isle of wight is freezing today after the nice weather we've had. My little boys birthday pressies have arrived . he gonna be so chuffed.

    hope everything ok with claire.

Thanks hun, yeah definitely looking forward to moving! Though have a prospect of a week with no broadband or Sky TV :rotfl: I'll have to dig the dongle out, which is very slow, but better than nothing. Will probably find enough little jobs to do around the house though, in that first week. I can sit and dictate for the big stuff!

I can't wait to get started on the nursery, will post some pics once I get the broadband back up again

Have you cut out caffeine completely? I have cut down a lot and normally only have 2-3 cups of tea a day now, and not coffee very often. I find it affects my mood if I don't have any at all, I dunno why.

Well I never really had many fizzy drinks but drunk coffee and tea all day. I only drink filter coffee too. So initially I dropped down to half caf for about a month but have been on decaf coffee and tea for ages now. I prob won't go back to the hard stuff on a daily basis now. Famous last words . . . .

Don't you go and have your bubs whilst your broadband is down! How will we all find out!?!

We moved about a year ago and I remember how busy we were sorting everything out so I'm sure you won't miss the tv and broadband too much.

I tried cutting out caffeine completely at the start but found I was a walking zombie most of the time. Now I have 1-2 cups of tea a day. I am trying to be good and have decaf coffee but I have a fab coffee machine and the best coffee has to be really strong and I confess to having treated myself once or twice - that's all mind. :rotfl:

It's funny, I was always a filter coffee kindagal, but have really gone off it since being pg. I have the odd one at the weekend if OH makes it, but not bothered either way. Or we have the decaff filter coffee. I have an instant coffee round OH's parents if we go round there for Sunday dinner. But then I actually went off tea and coffee for a few weeks when I was first pg which was reaaallly bizarre :rotfl:I now have 1-2 cups of tea, 1-2 cups RLT and sometimes a cup of cocoa in the evening.

Hopefully bubs won't make an appearance over the weekend  If he doesn't come then, then I think it will be around OH's birthday which is 7th May :D

jcr wow bet your hubby was shaken up! So helpful that he was on the scene though and a firat aider to boot. Hope your little one is feeling better and the weather has improved a bit.

Digital good luck with the move - last move we had was to our very first home as we are first time buyers, I can safely say it was awful as we moved between the 2 bouts of snow in Christmas 09 - what a pain... hope your broadband gets connected up quick!

Claireloo I know what you mean, my one filter coffee (sometimes 2) are saved for the weekend so they are a real treat... today my high has been sweets - I feel ill now...

Jcr you must be really proud of your DH.

Got chilli on the hob and I think it gave ne heartburn last time (only thing that has) so tonight is a test. It's one of DHs faves so let's hope it's problem free

Thanks for all the good lucks for my scan today peeps, I really appreciate it:A Scan went well and everything looks fine so its a huge relief. The sonographer was very matter of fact and not very personable which really threw my OH-he couldn't understand why she wasn't more excited for us:rotfl: At least she took her time and did her job thoroughly which is all that matters. We weren't even asked if we wanted to know the sex, but we had agreed going in not to find out so we are TEAM YELLOW:D

I had a half full bladder in the end btw, I tried to drink a good amount of water beforehand but I can't seem to hold my pee for very long these days:o
I got this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230577156517&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT as it came with absoloutely everything you could possibly need.

It has nice big chunky wheels & really good suspension too.

I looked on alot of the pram websites & what I wanted was going to cost £600+ so I choose a cheaper option.

I know it's more MSE to get a secondhand one but it's my last baby & I wanted him to have something nice. :o

BCS that looks like a great bargain, and lovely to see such a bright colour. I just had a nosy at their other items, I can't believe how many colour options there are in that pram though! And don't feel bad about not getting secondhand, for me being a MSE is getting what you want at a price you're happy with and it sounds like you've done just that. I'm sure your little one will love it.

We went shopping after and ended up in a Mothercare where I saw the Bugaboo chamelon for the first time. I am so in love with it, but wow at the price tag:eek: Not sure I want to spend that much tbh so need to have a good long think about it and look at other options.

Oh and re caffeine I have only started drinking coffee and tea again this past week, before that the thought of either made my nausea go into overdrive. I've been having one filter coffee/capp and 1or 2 cups of green tea a day. Not sure if thats too much or not?

jcr- that must have been quite a shock for your DH but well done to them both for reacting so well to it. I'm sure the kids love their daddy being a hero on the radio:T
