Hi all,
Just to say I found this site which is useful for baby names:
http://www.yeahbaby.com/baby-name-generator.php
You can put in the names you already like, plus middle names and your surname, and it will then show a selection mixed up of what you entered.
Thats for this sparkle, I've just emailed the link to my OH as well. We've been having a think of names this past week but it seems so overwhelming, I don't know how to even begin coming up with a name.
Oh and I forgot to share my bargain find. I got this set of re-useable nappies in Mothercare reduced from £99 to £20:money: They're suitable until 6 months so will use a mixture of them and disposables and see how we get on. We had decided to give reuseables a go anyway and were going to buy this bambino Mio starter pack which is offer in Tesco at £16.XX so were very chuffed at finding this today:D
Thanks doglover x:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
I havent had a cup of tea since I found out I was pregnant. I sooo want one lol
Im not sure why Im even bothering but its mainly for husbands sake, because what I lack in tea I have been making up for in fizzy pop. I keep drinking Pepsi, baby goes bonkers
so not sure if I should cut it out? I dont have ridiculous amounts but dont want to cause any problems with my little guy.
Have my 24 week appoiintment tomorrow, though Im 25 now lol. Anyone know what happens there? Im hoping I will get to hear the heartbeat as I havent done yet?
Oh and Im not sure if it was this thread that I was talking about drawers lol but I bought some for our room in the second hand shop today for £15. They are a bit old style but will do for now!:j0 -
Claire that's great news re: staying team yellow - and I know what you mean re: sonographer - of the 3 we have had, 2 were lovely and the other was very matter of fact and bored... we were annoyed that they seemed to be so aloof, but third lady was lovely.
In terms of baby names, we didn't have anything in mind in the beginning, but when looking for baby names in books, there are definately letters we didn't want, so then you start to narrow down the letters that you do like, so the name can start with those. For example, I definately didn't want O, Q, P,V, I or G for example (sorry if anyone has these as fave letters!). Plus your surname may have a bearing on this too, so you pick a first name that sounds nice with your surname, and the initials go well together for example.
Nice Mothercare and Tesco bargains! We are going reuseable too - managed to get some small and medium foldable nappies on Freecycle (around 40 of them!) so now need to find outer wraps. Might even get those new as we saved so much on the nappies themselves. According to the Nappy Angel site youtube videos, we need to learn the Angel fold - seems easy though I may not be saying that in 3.5 months time he he... or scarier... 17 weeks time!
supermaiden why not have the odd cup of tea? Possibly has less caffeine (and much less sugar) than the cola, and is more natural so if you fancy it go for it... I was forced to stop green tea around a year ago due to an underactive thyroid as green tea has caffeine in it too, so too much stimulant for me and bad for throid anyway apparently. Shame as loads of anti oxidants!
Not sure about the 25 week appointment apart from it seems that 1st pregnancy is the only time you get a 25 week one I think.
The drawers sound like a bargain - can you pretty them up perhaps? I am a huge shabby chic fan, there's a great thread here on MSE for lots of ideas and inspiration. I just redid a tv unit these last few weeks, looks sooooo much better than the boring orange pine it used to be. That cost be £15 too so snap!:):)

Honestly, a couple of cups of tea a day are fine. As sparkle said, tea is better for you than Pepsi. Especially if you have it black with no sugar :rotfl: I don't have much milk in mine, and one sweetener.
There is less caffeine in a cup of tea than coffee as well, so go on.. Indulge yourself0 -
Good morning all - welcome i luv freebies - how did your scan go?
For some reason when I type your name all together it turns into lots of exclamation marks!:):)

morning all, i'm 17+4 and still feel like a bag of poop, tired all the time, appetite zilch, and generally feeling sorry for myself
had a appt last week and the midwife found i had keytones, traces of protien, blood and leucocyles???? i'm meant to of done a wee sample but my doctors is right the way across town and it's a 45 min bus trip there and back and i just cannot face it, i feel sick as a pig just going to the corner shop! i've googled it and it seems pretty common so i'm not worried too much, i had the traces of them before in both my previous pregnancies and as it's the 3rd time around i dont tend to stress as much.
anyhow, i have a tonne of housework that wont do itself and if i keep putting it off i'll probably end up buried in it all, lol
hope everyone else is keeping well xSkint, but happy (ish):p0 -
Hi twinkle sorry you're feeling awful
if it helps everytime I have an appointment (which is nearly every week) I always have those things in my urine xx
