I went to Bravissimo recently and they have a pregnancy bra guide. It's best to get a nursing bra as close to birth as possible. http://www.bravissimo.com/perfectfit/maternity/bras-for-pregnancy-faqs/0

Hi everyone, lovely to hear of peoples scans.
That 'belly art' is really good abis, is that what your scan looked like?
I had my 16 week scan a couple of weeks ago now, all was fine and it was amazing how much more you can see, we could see the spine, the brain and the stomach, although little one wasnt playing the game and spent the whole time head down stuck in the corner, despite the woman poking and shaking my belly and making me go for a walk.
Ive have what should be my 16 week midwife apt but she was fully booked, supposenly there is only a clinic once a week and what with bank holiday as well, I will be 18+1 when I see her tomorrow. Hopefully we will get to hear the heartbeat, although we do have a doppler at home now and it has been really reassuring hearing it every night and something lovely for both dh and me to do together.
Ive been trying to pick up bargains on wipes, nappies, a bouncer and other things when I see them, although the flat is getting a bit full now (we have to move before baby comes) so baby is already taking over.
Has anyone as a first time mum had any movements or flutterings yet? I think they said my placenta is in the front so that wont help, but my bump doesnt feel as big today or look that big, no one has commented on me looking pregnant it looks more like a podgy belly than any definite bump yet.0 -
I'm the same cleofish, can't wait to have a proper bump! Haven't had anyone who doesn't know me comment yet. Think i just look like i have eaten a few too many doughnuts at the minute lol0

BeNiceToMyself - thank you for the info, will have a good look. I've been on so many online maternity shops today that I can't remember which one said to buy nursing now, thought it was a bit odd lol. XxDD1 June 1997

Hello all
Well I'm feeling exhausted today, it's a struggle to do anything. My stomach feels achy, I have no energy and the thought of eating or preparing food makes me feel sick. Has anyone else experienced this?

sweaty betty my stomach feels achy as well, my lower back and my hips hurt and I just don't feel like doing anything. I'm tired, but that might be because I've been in work all week and have ti get up at stupid o'clock and don't go to bed until silly o'clock!
No problem with food though, probably why I put on about 4 st with my first and I've already out on over a stone with this one!!
You might want to check your iron levels as that can make you feel lethargic. As for food some people go off food completely when they are pregnant and smells really make they feel nauseous.
Hope you day improvesGot married 13/11/10

I'm all achey too with insane amounts of pressure low down in my pelvis. Went for a walk with DH and it just made the back pain re-emerge. Dread to think what I will feel like at full term as not even half way yet!0

AngelMommy - I got measured last week in John Lewis and have been measured in M&S before. Both very helpful. I am in non wired tshirt bras - so unbelievable comfy. With DD I only wore those type of bras until I got measured again a couple of weeks before due date for nursing bras. I will do the same probably this time round.
I love new underwear shopping - new pants and all. Looking forward to getting the big granny ants for after birth - so comfy lol!!
Hugs Betty - I find lethargy comes and goes. I can't be bothered to cook most of the time and if I'm not doing it for DD then I don't generally bother for myself. We're eating out quite a bit at the mo! Hope it passes for you soon.
I did some lovely maternity clothes shopping yesterday - it was great. Found loads in H&M. Just need some nice summer dresses if anyone sees any then I'm set.

If you are in N.W. Elle McPherson intimates at Cheshire oaks have some fabulous maternity bras at good prices. They measure too. I find this an essential as hate feeling like a frump particularly in this lumpy rather than blooming stage!0

I will be 37 weeks tomorrow and I have worn sports bras all of the way through. Despite being beyond !!!!!!, they have done a really good job.
I can't wait to be able to buy and wear pretty bras though. I haven't seen any pretty looking nursing bras yet
Maternity clothes - Next mat clothes (online only) are really nice and Red Herring at Debenhams has been a life saver. I literally have one of everything from there. New Look have some nice basics as well.0
