19+5 with quite an obvious bump it is my 4th time though, using hair bobbles to fasten my trousers I will order some bigger trousers soon honest!! Just the other 3 children seem to need need need atm. Im absolutely exhausted just lately waking up at 6.30am doesnt help but i seem unable to sleep later :(
I have horrid constipation god knows how since my diet consists of salad vegetables mainly and plenty of water. However the sickness has eased and only reappears if i eat too late at night or if i skip meals.
Small portions of the same stuff work well.
Getting out of breath now when walking anywhere.
Am enjoying the wiggly baby bean OH got to feel it properly yesterday.
Scan on monday looking forward to seeing bean again.
Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

Wow, lots of lovely 20 weeks scans. Congratulations on Team Pink bride2b and congrats on Team Blue Jessi. My scan is at 21 weeks, so just under 5 weeks away. Feels like ages!

TTC40 - Hope your enjoy your Spanish sun. We're going for a bit of guaranteed sunshine on the Costa del Sol. Seriously, cannot wait - especially as hubby knows he's on beach/pool duty with DD whilst mummy has lots of siestas :D

Thanks for the tip on New Look jeans. I only have one pair of maternity jeans from MCare and I need an over the bump pair - so much more comfy.

Helen - I think Mary is a lovely name. I really like traditional names.

Afm, went back to the gp today and saw a decent one with a bit of common sense. I've had awful neck/bak/shoulder pain for 3 weeks and now it is just unbearable. I was crying in the car this morning as it just hurt too much to drive. Paracetamol doesn't cut it - so my GP gave me the ok for Nurofen and some Ibu gel. She doesn't advice ibuprofen for 33 weeks plus but was happy for me to take it now at 16 weeks. Oh the relief! I will try and only take it when I really need it - but it has really helped.

Hi Everyone...hope you and your bumps are all ok.

Have to say it's nice to see some bump pics. I'm 20 weeks and feeling like I should lie to people I don't know and tell them I'm more pregnant than I am as I felt too big for what I should be but everyone else looks to be around my size anyway! I don't know why I felt like that...self conscious even in pregnancy. It doesn't help that everyone always looks at my belly!

Anyway..I've cheered up this week which is nice as I have been so snappy and generally vile to be around!

I have got sore feet though! I bought 3 pairs of shoes this week thinking it was me buying unsuitable ones but I think I'm off balance with the pregnancy and putting weight on my feet where I don't normally as no shoes seem to feel nice! Bit of a pain as I haven't had a seat on the train all week on way to and from work and I'm finding it truly painful standing still for long periods!

Scan next Friday. Time couldn't be dragging more. I'm scared and excited. Just hoping baby is safe and well and gagging to find out the sex. I so wanted a girl but now I don't care at all...just please be ok little babe!

And finally I've had a little wobble this week about being away from work for a whole year! When I first got pregnant I thought this was a blessing but now I'm scared I'm going to miss opportunities and be overlooked as I've seen with other mums in the department. I'm absolutely dreading not earning too...I just can't imagine it! it's not even a lack of money it just doesn't feel right. My partner would be well annoyed if he knew I was thinking like this but I guess truth be told being supported almost entirely by someone else is totally totally alien and scary for me! I know I'm bringing up baby, I know my partner is delighted by it all but why do I feel so lost without my job..when it actually does my head in alot!

Hello all. Congrat on the 20 week scans, can't wait for mine. DH has said he'd rather not spend a day's holiday at the hospital so my mum is going to come instead. She's thrilled as they only let one person on with you at our maternity unit.
Clothes wise I'm in dresses for work as trousers uncomfortable now. At home i have two pairs of jeggings a size bigger than I'd usually wear. They just look like jeans I don't like the really figure hugging patterned lycra ones. Bought them in Sainsbury's and they are so comfy.
People are noticing my bump and asking if I'm pregnant now. Only 17 weeks. Last time i was at least 5 months before people who hadn't been told noticed but I'd gained weight all over in first trimester whereas this time i didn't. Also last time it was winter and long cardis helped disguise the belly as much as the weight gain. Still think the bump is actually bigger this time tho.
2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.
    MFW OPd 2014 £2000 2013 £9700 2012 £2848.39 2011 £2509.58 2010 £11000 2009 £112002008 £4939 :D

    Hi ladies,

congratulations on all the 20 week scans going well and lovely to see some new faces here and people moving up from the 12 wk thread :-)

I have a quick question, I saw the midwife this week (17 weeks) and she said the top of my uterus was under my belly button which doesn't normally happen until 22 weeks - has anyone else had this? I don't have any real bump that you can see yet but its very firm so I can feel exactly where it is. I'm not very big - would this make a difference?

I like the names chat - we really like traditional names ( I think Mary is lovely Helen!) but definitely nowhere near a decision yet, I like playing name games though! :-)

Bangton, I'm sure your partner would understand and feel the same about jobs if roles were reversed, it's absolutely ok to have a wobble and it doesn't mean you're not delighted about the baby, but naturally it will have a big impact on your life and potentially your career. I think it's worth talking about but its really normal to feel like that.

Only one more day to the weekend, I'm looking forward to putting my feet up!

Sorry to hear you're in so much pain. I had problems last year (although obviously not pregnant at the time) and went to a (private) physio who did some massage and acupuncture and it got better really quickly (after about 3 weeks of liquid morphine I was almost beyond grateful!). Might be something worth considering if it's still giving you problems...

Hello all - I went to the hospital today (usual fortnightly appointment) and asked if the midwife could listen for the heartbeat, but she said no as it wasn't always possible to hear at this point (16+3) and often more difficult anyway with twins :(

Bit disappointed really - I do feel movement from time to time, but it would have been nice to have it confirmed that both are doing OK (I'm so paranoid about something going wrong with one or both it's untrue!) Three weeks until the 19/20 week scan, so not long to wait.

However, I did find out that I'm immune to slapped cheek! My LO had a suspected case over the weekend, so I phoned the midwife on Tuesday who requested my booking in blood sample to be tested for the antibodies and it looks like they were there then, which means I'm immune. A big relief :)

Looking forward to the weekend (I don't work Fridays) :T

Lemonmelon I'm sure my uterus is in a similar place - midwife didn't check but it's very firm right up to my belly and I have a bump/bloat (17 weeks too). I'm hoping it doesn't mean giant baby?!

Lovely to read about all of the scans going on and see the bump pictures. Helen - I like Mary, everyone will know it but its unlikely that there'll be too many in the class :)

Lemonmelon- my midwife said mine was around the same place at my 16 week appt too but didn't comment that this wasn't usual.

Miffymoo - glad the back pain may be getting sorted, hopefully you'll get some relief this weekend!

AFM, apparently I look 'huge' now, I've gained 10lbs and I'm 23 weeks. Bit worried about putting too much weight on but this seems to be a 'normal' amount I think. Really having trouble getting comfy for sleep, think I'm eating too late at night so my tummy is really full when I'm trying to sleep! Early dinner tonight I think!

Great news on everyone's scans :D can't wait till our 20 week scan to know that everything is ok.

Bangton - I'm sure lots of women feel the same - I know the other day I was think omg no work for a year that's going to be so alien and wondering how I'll adjust - then I figured baby is going to keep me so busy it'll probably fly by way too quick!

Can definitely recommend new look maternity jeans too, I have 2 pairs and they're great, especially as they do shorter leg lengths but don't cost too much. Started getting some of my eBay bargains delivered now, so going to have to sort my wardrobe soon and get rid of old clothes and see what things are worth saving for wearing after winegum is here.
