I'm feeling so fat! Put on half a stone already and I'm only 14 weeks! I'm still feeling nauseous quite often so eating to stave off that!

I have diabetes (type1) and so far my insulin requirements hav not changed dramatically. There's time of course! I'm worried that an insulin increase will lead to even more weight going on. Never mind! Lots of lovely pram walks in a few months time will help with that!

TTC40 when did you sign up to the boots parenting club? Did you get a letter or anything confirming it? I only ask as I sent my form off two weeks ago but haven't heard anything. Cheers.

It was a few weeks ago I think.

I got my results of Downs testing yesterday. I'm low risk & don't need any further tests. I seem to remember that someone else got a number in terms of risk but it seems my hospital just says low risk. That's good enough for me!

You're doing really well, I have type 2 and have put on a stone and a half and I'm also 14 weeks! I'm blaming the insulin, roll on October when I can cut back on the meds and go low carb again :)

I'm another insulin fattie! I keep injecting loads to keep my blood sugar low and then I go too low so I eat and then I eat too much and inject more. I keep pigging out in the evenings as well, it's like the insulin is currency for food, so I keep topping up my bank account! I dread to think how much I've put on but I was in sz 14s before and now it's definitely 16s.
I think I've just resigned myself to putting on a ton of weight and will probably need to go on a diet forever after the baby's here. I'm not even half way through yet and already eating for britain.
Oh well so long as the baby's ok.

nice to see you here Sally

congrats on team pink Angi. Sorry to hear about work, glad to hear you are fighting them.

    lovely bump MV

I might get in contact with maternity action. I have to take all my annual leave before baby as none carries over and I don't accrue bank holidays. Has anyone had that from their work?

just a bit more bumpy than flab now at least. 17+1

BeNice - I can't carry over annual leave into the next holiday year, but I'll still accrue bank holidays etc while I'm off. I'm thinking of taking 9 months maternity leave, and because my holiday year runs Sept - Aug and my leave will be Oct-June, I can use my holiday either side of my maternity. I'm still entitled to the full allowance of 28 days holiday when I'm on maternity leave. I think it depends on where you work, my bosses would probably let me carry over a few days but other places are probably more strict.
I've spent the morning sorting out clothes that don't fit me anymore, there are quite a lot! I'm in that awkward stage where I'm not big enough for maternity clothes, might have to indulge in a bit of retail therapy after work one day to find some bits that will see me through the next couple of months!
    Hope you're all feeling good!

    Good afternoon :)

Sorry, not been around. Again. Insanely busy but only 3 more weeks of work and I'm done. Cannot wait!

    MV - Lovely bump

PigPen - Is that your 20 week scan? Boy or girl?!

Congrats on Team Pink Ani - great news! Sorry to hear about your job though - that sucks.

Hi to all the second trimester ladies coming over

AFM, I'm so busy I can't really think most days. I can't wait for things to calm down so that I can enjoy my DD, this pregnancy and the summer! Got a few things to look forward to - mostly Legoland, ITNG Live and sunny Spain, so that's keeping me going.

I got my Downs results back as 1 in 27,000. I'm sure with DD it was 1 in 9,000, so good to see that the odds are better. I also got my scan date through for early June when I will be 21 weeks exactly. We are still hoping to stay Team Yellow - just need to keep my resolve.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

    14+4

hi all, hope you are all well.

Been on holiday this week, but as usual we ended up doing far too much and am now just as tired as I was before :rotfl:

Went for interview for one of the two jobs I was keen on, but it wasn't for me so turned down the 2nd interview. And the other job is just a year long contract, so wouldn't feel right even applying, knowing I'd be on mat leave in a matter of months. Will just need to stick things out where I am and see what happens once bump is here.

Does anyone else find they get tired really easily doing even the simplest of tasks?! Did the food shopping earlier, and had to take DH with me as I find it awkward getting the heavy things in and out the trolley. By time we go home, I was too tired to put it all away, so DH did the fridge stuff so I didn't have to bend down. Then I decided I would start clearing stuff out the spare room (our Xmas tree and decorations are still in there instead of up the loft!), and I've moved a few boxes and now just cannot be a***d! normally I'd have done the shopping, put it away, walked the dog and still have managed to sort the spare room by this time of day!

ETA - We have our 20 weeks scan a week Wed, 8th of May...although I'll actually be 21+5 by then. Hoping to find out if it's a boy or girl, I'm so fed up of calling baby 'It'! He/she is certainly doing lots of wriggling these past few days! OH can't feel anything yet though which is a shame as he is desperate to!
