Hi girls, did everyone remember the clocks?!
Welcome Manc, best wishes for your scan. It's amazing but I'm one of the heartless few who didn't shed a tear!I think I was convinced that it'd be bad news(because I'd had a symptomless preg) that I was more scared than excited. I wish I'd relaxed more now and enjoyed it. I've started stressing about the 20 wk scan now! I won't learn!!
We spent the day mooching round baby shops yesterday and now I'm hunting on eBay for everything I want. That'll keep me busy for a while.
Re mat form, I won't see my midwife till 25 weeks, did I read that I have to give the form to work before 25 weeks?
Enjoy the light evening ladies x0 -
nope, i didnt shed a tear either, i had geared myself up for not being there either, last time we had a miscarriage i had gne for the 12 week scan and it had stopped growing at around 6 weeks, was so gutted and didnt stop crying for ages so i was more anxious tha anything to be honest i still am but trying to not let it get to me.
yes mat from has to be in by week 25.
ive been lookinbg on freecycle for bits and bots, missed out on moses basket the other day and sme toys but have stocked up on some clothes for newborn, also ordered a buggy the other day so will pay that off as and when. got it second hand from a shop for £149 it has the buggy car seat rain covers changing bag footmuffs etc so may only hve to get the brolly at a later stage if needed. ilove itnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
morning all. another gorgeous sunny day.
Aww i've had a fab weekend with my bump. bean has been kicking none stop and if i put my hand on where my section scar is i can feel the kicks gently on the outside. i spent alot of saturday laying on sofa just enjoying the moment ( inbetween being in garden with kids). thinking how lucky i am to have been preg 5 times by hubby , and how amazing my children are. ( i was very emotional, lol) i'm starting to feel excited now. strangly it all came becuase i was thinking about xmas, and how i can't wait to see the 4 kids faces after santa has been. ( early i know) and how it is gonna be crazy and hectic yet wonderful. hubby and i were saying about next baby after this one and talking about cars and stuff. was so nice.
Then all got ruined !!! can't say on here too much but i just knew we should of not told certain people about the baby.i'm really fed up of it all now.spent most of sunday crying. complete nightmare. everything i said before about not telling anyone and just moving away, we should of just done it then. you really can trust no one.
so just wondering, for those who have had babies already, if u dont' have any family or friends around and you go into labour ,what happens with your children, do they have to stay with ur hubby, so u go through labour alone? are they able to come to hospital with hubby ? i just don't know. Surely not everyone has family or friends around who can help out ?
on a plus tho, it is only next week till with find out flavour of baby ( how quick has that gone), my dd is so excited, well i think we all are tbh. and then it is half term, think the kids have nearly the whole fo april off it seems. so very excited about that. it our youngest b'day also. so lots planned for then.0 -
Morning All!!
i feel like i am being beaten from inside by my own child!!! keep ketting kicked in the bladder which makes me want to pee all the time!! got a good few things at an NCT nearly new sale on saturday, my dad is going crazy with all the baby stuff being stored at my parents house!!!0 -
jcr.. I left mine home with their dad and took my mother with me. With the last one they went to their dads and OH came with me.. I am hoping MIL will come watch the baby when this one arrives.. she will have DD1 to help and my mother and 2 sisters are in walking distance so can pop by.. I'm sure she'll be fine though. and stuff what everyone else thinks.. tell them to shut up and eff off.. your life.. you look after the children not them and they have no right.. they will do it all the more if they see they have the power to upset you.. don't give them that.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

It really is that simple. My usual reply is 'When I start asking you to look after them 24/7 then you can have a say until then.. butt out' .. I'm very popular lol Used on my mother, aged aunts, my nanna and various other interfereing busybodies! There isn't anything they can do really is there.
Could you get a doula and hubby watch the children?
Do you have a relative who could come stay with you a few days.. if you paid their travel?
Social services might be able to help.. the mw offered their services when I had DD4 for similar situation.. I declined quite unceremoniously too.. but it might be an option.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Hi girlies. I have a quick question . . . . After feeling flutters a week or so ago I haven't felt anything for ages now! Should I be worried? It's just I read how you're all feeling kicks etc but I've got nothing. I'll be 20 wkd on Wed0
