Hmm, never thought about that! I suppose I could ask, they can only say no.0 -

Maybe I'll see how much the midwife struggles at my next appointment before buying one.
I have an anterior placenta. I got an Angelsounds doppler at 18 weeks (tbf it was £5 on a local group, so couldn't resist at that price).
It took me half hour to find the heartbeat the first time! I was just looking in totally the wrong place. Everytime since I've found it pretty much instantly. It's really really low down. Much lower than you ever think...or at least it is for meBaby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Morning. Guess I belong here now, since I'm 12+6 and saw a happy wiggly baby at my scan last week
Getting a lot of aches and twinges at the moment, which is a bit scary but fingers crossed its all normal stretching pains.0 -
I have surrendered to use of the crutches in the house.. which means I am having my army of minions clearing floors I can't get through with them. I am not wearing socks because it hurts too much to get to my feet and I ended up crying putting my trousers on (pjs bottoms) thankfully I have 1 dress and 3 skirts for bad days.. all black and floor length lol
20 weeks on Tuesday so very very early for me to need them. I refused to have any at all with Squeak (not that it made any difference because with 3 physio referrals I never got an apt through) and ended up with them at 32 weeksish with Dot.. it took that long and 4 referrals to get a physio appointment from a first referral at 12 weeks!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi Poppy! congrats on your scan!
Hope everyone is ok today and having a good Sunday?
I had a very bizarre dream last night - my baby was ordering things from the internet and sending me invoices from inside me?!!?!
I love my doppler, listen to wriggler every day with it and have done since 10 + 4 but think things have moved around a bit as only able to get it for a short time recently before he/she disappears off somewhere possibly behind the placenta.....
14 + 2 today and feeling much less sick and tired thankfully. Looking forward to feeling some movements soon hopefully...
Hug to all those who are suffering and enjoy the rest of the weekend! xxFirst baby due October 2013 :j0 -

The dizzy spells are down to low blood pressure which is a very good thing.. less likely to have pre-eclampsia for a start! I get them right the way through.. just be careful when getting up quickly, hot baths and on stairs.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Hi everyone! Welcome to all the newbies!
Haven't been on for a couple of weeks because we've been on holiday - have had a fantastic time in USA and Wriggler took the chance to expand, I went away with no bump and am now showing a very big and active one! My tummy has actually been jumping most of the day, DH and our girls have all felt him moving and are very excited.
PigPen, I was on crutches from 20 weeks with youngest but I haven't needed them so far, I did go to see physio but to be honest there wasn't much she could do for me, discharged me after 2 appointments (and told me my butt muscles are very tight!) and she wants to see me when baby arrives. I hate the belt - it is fab when standing up but completely awful when sitting, I asked one of my physio friends in work if there was any way to make it comfortable when sitting and was basically told no.
I turn 24 weeks tomorrow so I'll be moving up to the next thread and saying goodbye to this one - hope you all have fantstic pregnancies and I'll see you all when you move up!Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0 -
Luciferswench.. the only 'blooming' I manage in pregnancy is blooming awful!
Girlzmum.. I can't see how the belt can be any use at all when it supports your back.. my back isn't the issue my hips and pelvis are!! All it seem to do it put pressure in uncomfy places on my back and make my back hurt too and it burns. I can manage about half an hour with it on at the moment.. I lasted about 20 seconds with it this morning!! I need it around my hips like a tiny mini skirt I think rather than across my back and tummy hurting me. It really annoyed me last time having to take it off to sit down and take it off to use the toilet or it rolled up and nipped my skin causing lots of bruising.. needless to say given I could not stand for more than about 5 minutes it was rarely worn!
And my occupant has just had the first bout of hiccups!!! OH grunted 'oh!' at me in a rather bored manner.. sometimes he is a twit! So I am sharing my happiness with you!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
