Hi,
I am 15 weeks, They tried to hear the babys heartbeat yesterday but couldn't so have to wait another 2 weeks - they said it was too early so midwife isnt worried. Has anyone 15+ weeks felt the baby move if so, when?0 -
I decided to not get a Doppler as I thought I might worry too much if I couldn't find a heart beat.
I have been looking at pregnancy yoga classes. Has anyone tried them?
I'm 15 weeks and have felt nothing but I'm not expecting to for a few weeks.0 -

Same here, we were sure we wanted one but we have since decided we couldn't be doing with the panic if one wasn't found. When I say I.... I mean me... And the OH didn't want any extra stress/crying!If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
I haven't felt baby move.
In fact before my midwife put the device on my tummy yesterday to find the heart beat she reassured me with saying please don't worry if it takes me awhile to find it, depends where your uterus is.
I commented that it was hard to believe how strong the heart beat is/seeing baby move at my 12 week scan when I couldn't feel anything yet.
She then said it was completely normal with 1st pregnancies to not feel any movements until after 20 weeks.
I'm not even showing properly when I'm up/about. It is only when I lay flat on my back that I have a little bump and that probably only started happening at about 13 weeks. I definitely didn't have that at 12 weeks when I was laid down for my scan.
Thanks for the replies re mother care.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -

I have several friends who absolutely loved pregnancy yoga and felt that it really helped them during delivery (breathing exercises, relaxation etc). The only reason I didn't do it was because it clashed with my usual medical appointment times or aqua natal. Aqua natal was fabulous - basically like a less strenuous aqua aerobics - and I definitely recommend that!
In terms of movement, I don't think I felt anything until 18-20 weeks the first time, but I'm convinced that I've felt the odd movement already (I'm 12 weeks).0 -
Hello everyone.
Just thought I'd update you all re mother care. The payment plan thing on at least prams is purely a price lock, you're free to change your mind and move the payment plan onto another pram or even cancel all together and you get whatever money back you've paid.
We did this today, purely for this reason. We found a pram we liked and decided for us at least it seemed silly to pass it up. You even choose the best date to have it delivered to your house.
Just really liked the idea that if you changed your mind it was okay.
Purely passing info on, haven't suddenly become a mother care employee, lol.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
We found the same with John Lewis and they price match! We were sold purely because we have some vouchers - but their customer service is excellent. E.g a loan pram if yours is broken and in for repair.
Actually John Lewis also sell our changing bag, bedding and furniture - their sales staff must be well trained! If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
I really fancy joining a pregnancy yoga class but the only one nearby is run on a work day from 6.30pm and I wouldn't get there in time.
sad times!

Technically you are entitled to (paid) time off for pregnancy-related appointments which *can* be interpreted to include relaxation classes such as pregnancy yoga, aqua natal, etc as well as ante-natal sessions. Some employers are more generous with this interpretation that others, but worth asking perhaps.0
