Warning, hormonal rant ahead!!
Does anyone have someone in their family that just annoys the hell out of them? I could tolerate (ignore) her before but since I've fallen pregnant she seems to have a vendetta.
I was admitted to hospital for extreme sickness and dehydration and when I was due to be discharged I put on facebook that I was really craving steak pie. Cue a massive rant at me how I couldnt possibley be having cravings etc, it was all for attention.
Not once has she congratulated us, in fact she cried because her LO wont be the youngest anymore (like I did that on purpose? It was common knowledge that I wanted a 2nd)
Now, some of the family were having a conversation about houses and areas to live and she was trying to get us all to move through there. Apparently there is a 'better class of people in the city' and my area is full of 'junkies' as she put it (she is from this area too!)
I pit forward that neither me or OH would be happy in the city and that it didnt matter what area you were from, it was what you made of yourself that mattered.
Cue catty statuses on Facebook about someone being a snob and thinking they were better than everyone else. So of course I responsed saying I hope this isnt aimed at me? No comment then suddenly all deleted.
She doesnt like me because I dont accept her stupid lies and pull her up about them, not in a mean way, more a 'I'm sure you told me this before but this happened not that etc'. ARGH
Sorry for the rant, I blame the hormones but I'm hoping someone else can sympathise lol.0 -
Nikki, I am much less tolerant of others during pg. I'm fairly intolerant of most people at the best of times but am very short with everyone at the moment. They say the most idiotic things.. I don't have food cravings just when pg spmetimes you just need a beer or a bar of chocolate or a bit of peace and quiet!
Right now OH is snoring like a pig on the sofa and I want to throw the spiky cat in his face.. it is so annoying esp when he complained I was snoring the other night and kept him awake! TBH the thought.. well eff off and play baby for your emotionally damaging mother then almost slipped out of my mouth..
I'm going to eat biscuits and drink tea.. I might even give Squeak a biscuit!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I think I may have bought the same top as you from red herring, Be Nice, is it navy with red birds on?
My bump has gone really bumpy the last week or so, I have gone into maternity leggings now. May as well start as I mean to go on....
Is anyone else feeling absolutely knackered? Im exhausted at the drop of a hat even with a 2 hours sleep most afternoons. Thank god work are lettting me work from home, as I think I'd have to get signed off with exhaustion otherwise. Don't remember it being so bad last time - maybe I'm too old and decrepit to cope with the demands of growing a baby.0 -
Nikki, it sounds all very immature from this other person, I don't think you're being extra hormonal here!
Got my next order today, some nice clothes in there and finally jeans that I can breathe in!
I can feel some weird fluttery feelings which I guess is the baby moving but actually is very odd and feels like gas moving through my body! With a live goldfish trapped in there too.
An9i77- I've been very tired too but it's going away a little now and I'm staying up till a more normal time now. Hope you start to feel better soon.0 -

She is quite immature. She has stopped talking to me (no complaints here) and also OHs dad, its almost as if shes trying to annoy the full family.
Just back from the out of hours GP with my LO. He has slapped cheek syndrome and an infection in both earsantibiotics for him and a trip to the GP on Tuesday for a blood test. Not quite sure why the test couldnt be done at the hospital but hey ho, risk should minimal so fingers crossed.

yes! it was too cute to leave behind plus it was 20% off
Nikki that sounds awful. She must be really immature to whinge like that on facebook.
I'm enjoying the maternity wear even tho I have no bump just a muffin top. It's nice to have something not digging into my waist right now.0 -
Being pregnant is the only time in my life when I can feel proud, rather than ashamed of my big fat tummy! I'm going into maternity wear now too ,a little early perhaps but I'm getting too big for my normal clothes and as for a waistline.....
Just wish the weather would cheer up as I've bought my new clothes with spring/summer in mind but that seems to be on hold this year. It's not even sunny this morning, so it's the worst of both worlds.0 -
It seems the baby enjoys being in a bumpy car as it really starts moving about then. Well either that or it hates it and is trying to tell me so! The movements do make me feel a little sick though which I wasn't expecting, hopefully this won't last!!0

Oh my goodness... I got a little affection this morning.. good job I was laid in bed or I'd have fainted!... nothing as contact issue as sex but a hug and a smooch was quite adequate.
Noangel.. Squeak hated being in the car on a certain stretch of road and would go crazy until we hit the nice motorway.. Dot would get hiccups on the same stretch of road. I am certain it has something to do with the surface of the road causing different vibrations through the fluid.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Sigh, I need a virtual slap. I keep googling the effects of slapped cheek on pregnancy. Now starting to worry as I have had headaches and a sore throat for the last week.
My main worry is that I wont get a doctors appointment tomorrow due to the usual bank holiday influx. Can I insist on an appointment due to the circumstances? Normally I wouldnt be too bothered about having to wait but I think the quicker that this is done the better. Hospital specifically said it had to be my GP. Not sure if I can go to midwife instead.
I know the chances of having it are very slim but I cant help but worry.0
