Oh and are you able to twist the carseat to the side when taking it out/putting it in?
No - you just lift it out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjwPjp9lyCw(I am officially a car seat geek!).

Most cars post 2006 are compatible with the Isofix base (theres a leaflet inside the box - the only cars that don't seem to be compatible are ones with underneath storage under the backseats). Both our cars are and Halfords checked for us on the leaflet before we paid for it anyway just incase.

Thanks again pigpen I've been to debenhams and bought a couple of very comfy, very supportive bras and oh my what a difference it has made to me being comfortable!

You were right about mothercare, they were wrong by 2 cup sizes! I now have a bra from mothercare that unfortunately I have cut the tags off and put through the washing machine so I cant return it, but I doubt i will ever wear it as no wonder it was uncomfy

(unpick some stitching and take it back.. and tell them I sent you :p ) You could always ebay it they do go well on there.

I don't think M/care should be allowed to sell bras. Their own brand sizing is completely different to any other make and they always get it very wrong. M&S think we all have shoulders like a rugby player so the straps slide down constantly and they always want to give you a band width too big.

I've found D'hams to be about the only place that sells good quality affordable bras which are correctly measured. I do not work for any of these companies.. promise!!

Glad you found confort though.. nothing worse than niggling undies!

Hi, I hope you don't think this is spam, but I know some of you ladies are fans of One Born Every Minute. As some of you may know from the TTC thread, I work as an MSW in Yorkshire ;). This isn't my page (I'm not a good swimmer :o), but Jimmy's (the other maternity hospital in Leeds) are currently raising money for a birthing pool and other 'active birth' adjustments for our ladies. As a result some of the midwives are doing a sponsored swim which is the equivalent of swimming the Channel, anyone who'd like to sponsor can do so at:

Please don't feel obliged, I just knew some of you were local and / or fans of the show

Splank - we are thinking of getting the Babystyle Oyster. Will be good to know what you think of it!

My in laws have very kindly offered to buy a pushchair for us, but yesterday my mother in law said to DH: perhaps you could give us a list of pushchairs you like and then we'll buy one for you..

Err.. how do I politely explain that it's not like a Christmas wish list, and that we'd like to actually choose ONE ourselves! We have some money saved up to buy a pushchair so can get it ourselves if it's going to become awkward!! I can honestly imagine them just going to mothercare, choosing one they like and then dropping it round!!

I don't think we'll get an isofix base, a couple of friends have said the seatbelt option is fine.. although I know others swear by isofix... oh the decisions!!

Good to know about the bra advice - I need to get some new ones, the ones I bought at about 6 weeks are really uncomfortable now. Will try and get to Debenhams at the weekend.

Baby is kicking quite a lot now and DH felt it for the first time on Saturday which was lovely :)

Our family offered to buy us a pram/pushchair but as I am such a bargain hunter (can't help it!) - I said it would rather they didn't - and instead they could put some money into a saving account once child is born (I didn't think they would offer both so have hedged my bets!).

I figured that would be the best choice as I will only flog the pram once finished with and will feel guilty making money out of something they buy us!!!:D (maybe I have a bargain hunter guilty streak!).

Of course in reality I would have loved a Bugaboo pram but reality is telling me that I would be paying just for the design and that the Obaby one that is coming (with good reviews) will be fine - and that I really don't need to spend £600+ on a pram. But....then my heart is saying - get something cool looking.....! Oh the tugs on my heart/head from getting a pushchair/pram!;)

I will see how I get on with the Obaby Zezu - but I am guessing as I don't know any different (never pushed a pram in my life - haha!) - I won't miss what I have never had!:rotfl:

Sparkles - I didn't feel any kicking (it still doesn't feel like proper kicks to be honest) until a couple of weeks ago - at 21 weeks. It was fluttering prior to that - sort of bubbling in my stomach is the best way to describe it. Now it just feels as though my stomach has hiccups when I am guessing the baby is kicking!!!!

Sparkles - what she said ^^ Exactly the same for me! It's just got to the point where I can identify definite kicks (although hiccups is a good description!) and DH has fet them a few times, but before my 20 week scan it was only very occasional fluttering.
