Hey Baleb, how tall are you? I made an asda order this week and got the maternity £6 leggings, skinny jeans and bump bands in a small. The leggings are pretty good for the price , tho there is a seam right up the centre of the tummy bit, but will be a lot comfier than the way my leggings are sitting right in the middle of my tummy now. they are more for a bigger bump but i'm sure i will grow into them.
The skinny jeans fit true to size bum and tummy-wise but i'm a shortass and so they are way too long for me (the leggins are also too long but can fold them under more easily) these are just badly wrinkled cos of way too much length but if you are over say 5ft 3 i'd say they'd probably be nice.
    Bump bands seem fine.
I always order to store as it's free :)

thanks for the reply :-) I'm quite tall at 5ft 8 so I think I will definitely get the leggings at least, mine sit right across my tummy at the moment and they aren't tight, but they press a bit and it's getting uncomfortable. if I roll them down a bit to unde my tummy the fall down all day which is very annoying! xx

ha i know i tried wearing mine under my tummy but got wrinkly legs so kept having to yank them up!Yeah defo worth a go at your height. I have ordered some jeans from New look now which were about the same price and came in shortass length :) so will see what they are like.

I can highly recommend H & M maternity leggings - they have a really low seam across your hips and then a massive stretchy panel (with no seam in the middle) to go over your bump. They are quite long though (I'm short!) so anybody with short legs will have to deal with the wrinkly leg issue!

Also, I was very pleased with Next maternity jeans - I'm 5'3 and ordered their regular length skinny jeans, and they are about right (a tiny bit too long, but the wrinkly legs are not such an issue as with other brands!)

Yes - the H&M Mama stuff is soooooo long! I'm just under 5'3 and have a good 4-5 inch turn up on the jeans and trousers I have from there. At the moment I'm just tucking them inside boots, but when it gets warmer I will need to hem them. My sis has ordered me a smart pair of Next maternity trousers for work so I'll let you know what they're like when I collect them at the weekend! :)

I also picked up a few bits in H&M it was the end of the Christmas sale and they had some really nice work skirts that don't look too maternity:)

Hope everyone is well, I am doing okay work is crazy busy at the moment so I haven't been on line much.

Congrats to those who had successful scans :)
  • I'm looking forward to being able to visit H&M for some more stuff at the weekend, we don't have one near us. My maternity jeans are starting to feel snug of an evening now!

Have you got an H&M in your area - I've found a few nice things in there for work...
Yeah been in there and it just seemed scruffy for my needs...although I wasn't looking for tops, just skirts/trousers.

H&M online is just rubbish for maternity at the moment. In fact most websites are.

I got my skirts from jojo bebe and happy with them, bit big, but reckon they'll fit in a month.

has anyone got the free mum to be bounty pack from boots/superdrug? is it any good?
No. I got the Emmas diary one from Boots/Argos. How do you get the bounty one? Last time I got given it by midwife. They were always worth it last time - get small sample pots of sudocrem/bepathen, samples of wipes/nappies, vouchers off, think there might have been some washing powder samples in one too. I like a freebie :)

MV I'm sure your scan was this week...did I miss it?

I'm really happy so I have to post (sorry!). I had my recall scan today (they couldn't see everything at my last one and I was a bit worried deep down I think) - but I now have 2 pics of baby sucking its thumb!:p Sooooo cute!!! Baby is doing well and normal size :)

Sonographer also confirmed its definitely a girl, gave me 6 free pics AND I also am going back in (as long as baby hasn't arrived by then!) mid-May to have another scan to help with their staff training - they are even paying towards expenses (I would have paid them!) - really excited about this as its an hour long session!!! Might be worth asking at your hospitals whether they have any opportunities like that????

Plus when I was in the waiting room - a Bounty lady came round and I got another free Mum to Be Pack! My afternoon seems to have been too good to be true.....I never normally get this many good things happen to me in one day!:D

How is everyone else? Any more scans coming up?

Oooh! Its really exciting isn't it! Make sure you have a choc bar beforehand - it got my baby really hyper!!! (mine slept through my 13 week scan and I was a little disappointed as it didn't move an inch but a choc bar worked wonders at both my 2nd and 3rd scans!!!!)
