  • Just reporting back to say my scan went well, am so relieved. We got a funny pic of the baby lying with its face to the camera. Looks so strange as its skeletal! Lol am off to get sorted for new york, leaving at 6am! Have got a mammath task of getting the cat into his carrier to go to the cat hotel without getting scrabbed!

I have a pair of work suitable maternity trousers needing rehoming.. next new with tags black 16R. I got them for an evening 'do' when having Squeak and never wore them cos they were too short for me. if anyone could use them I'm open to offers.. (they were £38 I think.. I'll check in a sec)

Oooh Pigpen - have they gone? If not - how tall are you (Im 5'6") as I don't like short legged trousers either! Also are they wide leg at the bottom? Do you have a pic? How much do you want for them?

MM - I am sooooo jealous! Have a wonderful break!

hey everyone, how are you all? have a lovely time in new York minimuffin!

I haven't had to buy any maternity clothes yet which I'm quite happy about, all my trousers are quite low rise so they still fit ok at the moment. I know I will have to sooner or later though! has anyone tried asda maternity range? it's only available online I think, but very reasonably priced so I thought I might try that.

we went to the early pregnancy open evening at my local hospital last night, it was quite good actually. we got to speak to people about breastfeeding and using washable nappies which was helpful. they had a nct stand there too. I was going to sign up to their antenatal classes but there was another company there, sort of the same but run by a qualified midwife and you get more sessions for your money so might go with that. still got a while to think about it anyway.

the sun is out here today so I might go for a walk in my lunch break :-)

has anyone got the free mum to be bounty pack from boots/superdrug? is it any good?

    baleb xx

I'll sort pics. I'm 5ft 3 but have rather long legs for my shortness lol.. and I like them almost floor length with my heels on and these just weren't. I'll measure inside leg for you if it helps... and yes wide at the bottom, I'm not built for skinny anything lol.

I've been in maternity stuff since about 5-6 weeks with all of mine, I just explode the second I get a bfp.. It seems the more people that know the bigger I get.. good excuse not to tell anyone.

    ETA.. Dida.. pics sent.

  • Pigpen, is it worth making contact with one of the midwives you got on well with? It sounds like you're a bit conflicted about if you're happy about your pregnancy. Might help you to tell hubby too.

    5 days until scan :) :T
  • Hey Baleb, how tall are you? I made an asda order this week and got the maternity £6 leggings, skinny jeans and bump bands in a small. The leggings are pretty good for the price , tho there is a seam right up the centre of the tummy bit, but will be a lot comfier than the way my leggings are sitting right in the middle of my tummy now. they are more for a bigger bump but i'm sure i will grow into them.
The skinny jeans fit true to size bum and tummy-wise but i'm a shortass and so they are way too long for me (the leggins are also too long but can fold them under more easily) these are just badly wrinkled cos of way too much length but if you are over say 5ft 3 i'd say they'd probably be nice.
    Bump bands seem fine.
I always order to store as it's free :)

No.. they will just witter on about how ill I was with the last 2 and I don't need to hear it I already know, I lived it!

I'm not best pleased (I was on the pill so it wasn't what I wanted) but if I tell OH he will just make me really miserable stomping about for the next year or so and I just can't deal with him being a child when I have a houseful of children already.

It is getting a bit difficult to force him to clean up the cat poo every 5 minutes (we have a senile incontinent cat) without giving him a good reason other than I'm not doing it lol
