they have just grown, they don't get smaller again. It is part and parcel I'm afraid.. some peoples grow a little, mine grew lots too.

Congrats to everyone who’s had scans in the past week. It must be so exciting to see how much they’ve grown since the last one. Mine’s a week today and I’m really excited (and anxious) about it. It still doesn’t feel quite real even though I have a visible bump and can feel movement.

You’re all very organised with your talk of prams and things. I’ve done no research yet as I want to make sure everything’s ok at the scan first, but it sounds a bit overwhelming.

Has anyone been to any pregnancy exercise classes? I’m off to a pilates class this evening and I’ve never done one before. I’m hoping it will be a good chance to meet some new mums and help with any future aches and pains as well.

Oh, and minimuffin, I can’t say I’ve noticed much of a change in the size of my areolas, but I think it’s perfectly normal. Has anyone else got really spotty skin? My face looks awful. I swear that ‘glowing’ in pregnancy is a myth!
  • My skin has been terrible since about six weeks, I swear some of the same spots are still there, my immune system must be stuffed! Although, my diet probably isn't helping that...

I have bad skin Emily :( Well, just a few spots, but bad ones! I normally never get spotty! I also have the giant nips on the go :) My boobs are at least a cup size or two bigger and my areolas have increased quite a bit too. It's totally normal...but weird to see the changes!

Hope everyone is well! My scan isn't until 21+3 I think so I have a while yet... :( I'm 17+2 today.

Emily_B - I've been to a couple of exercise classes, there's an antenatal exercise class at our local leisure centre. It's very gentle exercise, lots of good stretches and toning muscles but not really any cardio. I do like it and it makes me feel like I'm doing something other than sitting at my desk/lying on the sofa.

There were some nice ladies there the first week but the second week I was the only one who turned up  (did I put them off?? :rotfl:). The class instructor (who is also a midwife!) assured me there'd be new people this week, so we'll see this evening, otherwise I'll have to endure another one-one session!!
  • Thanks pigpen, I got a bit freaked out on Friday when i first noticed the colour of them, almost white/ light pink. Then this morning I couldn't believe the size of them.lol I had bad skin up until a few weeks ago, it was terrible, still not cleared up totally. Used to it as I had awful skin for the 7years I was on cerazette!

I've not got much of a bump either Emily (18+5) I can't wait be huge!

pigpen - do you mean they never get smaller ever again??

mrsj congrats on your scan, did you not want to find out the sex? Did you get to see the little one wriggling away - its so cute!

I cant be bothered to go to actual classes as we dont have much locally so im doing dvd yoga. Feeling more limber and less achey lately too

Also been looking into hypnobirthing..check out hypnobirthing videos on youtube, the ladies seem soo relaxed and chilled out - thats the kind of birth I want. :T That and a pool, lol..we're going on a ward tour this wed and signing up to a midwife led birth unit so excited about that :)

I have developed spotty skin around my jawline, never had spots there before so its obv preg related. Been extra scrubby on my skin and it has calmed down now and is looking clearer..

Re boob size, they havent expanded anymore than the initial surge (still huge though!) but I have needed to use 2 bra expander straps to be able to breathe easily.. :rotfl:
We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic. ;)
