Only one more sleep til mine now!
Good luck for tomorrow Bigbird - remember those sugary treats beforehand.....and then after to celebrate of course!!!:D
Waiting to hear whether Bounty was right about Pippa....!
I drank too much at my scan and had to go for a wee in the middle of it covered in ultrasound gel which wasn't that nice - I'd only had a small bottle of water! So I'm only going to have half that at my next one (gotta go back in 2 weeks).
I am planning on working up until a week and a half before my due date - eeek! (aren't girls early too...?!?!?)0 -
oooohhhh everyone is having their scans. Exciting times!
I have a recall scan next Friday. Hopefully my little un will be a posing frame of mind this time. I was sent to eat something sugary during my last scan but he was having none of it. It was really funny really because, partway through the scan, all what you could see on the monitor was him giving the 'thumbs up' sign. I guess that he thought that after he gave the sign then he could stop posing lol
I am having dreadful trouble with sleeping at the minute. My thighs hurts so much - like an achy pain and on the outside. I just can't get comfy
Also my baby boy is making me pig out all of the time. I am so hungry!! I keep saying to myself '9 months on 9 months off' haha
I will be 22 weeks on Monday

Hello all - thanks for the good wishes!
Well - bounty has failed at last!! Apparently we are most likely having a little girl
All was normal on the scan, which is the main thing! I also have an anterior placenta, which probably explains why I haven't felt anything yet. The sonographer said that it is fine, the only thing is that I won't feel as much movement. The problem is when the placenta is low (whether anterior or posterior) - but mine is high, which is good.
Good luck for tomorrow BB!0 -

Glad the scan went well, pippa. And congratulation on team pink!
Oo, Bounty has slipped a bit in the last couple of days. DS's childminder has requested that we have a girl as she has 4 boys and 1 girl on her books at the moment, and wants more girls! Not long now til we find out...
Hope your baby is in a better posing mood on Friday, snozberry. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

Good luck today Bigbird!
Has anyone settled on a pram yet? I tried out a few for the first time on Wed after my scan, and thought I wanted the uppababy vista (scored highest in which reviews) but on trying it out I found it felt a bit flimsy and not very smooth, also I didnt like the material - thought it was a bit cheap!
Anyway I decided I liked 3 wheelers as they are so light and am thinking about the Baby jogger GT which you can fold with one hand, either that or iCandy peach which I have to be honest Im only thinking about cos I love the way it looks!
Anyone had either and can offer an insights? Or has anyone settled on anything different, and why?We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

We've gone for the mothercare trenton, it's a big travel system for a great price and a neutral black/grey so will do for either gender and hopefully a 2nd at some point in the future. I can collapse it with my left hand, which is important for me because I'm a lefty with very weak wrists! It felt sturdy but still light and I love the sleeper cot that forms the pram because you can leave baby in it and let them sleep if they nod off as it lifts out.0

Just back from the scan and all went well
It was the same sonographer who did our 12 week scan and she remembered us, which was sweet.
It appears the Bounty predictor may have lost it's touch as we are most likely team blueWe though we saw a little winkle early on and the sonographer agreed, but didn't check properly til the end, at which point he had his legs clamped together and wasn't being particularly co-operative. But she did think she could make out a scrotum and it certainly didn't look like girl bits.
I also had to see a consultant as I had a blood clot a few years back and am at higher risk of having one in pregnancy. When I was pregnant with DS, I had to start having anti-coagulant injections from 27 weeks, but the consultant this time said I should start them ASAP. So looks like I'll be jabbing myself every day from next week, once we get the prescriptions sorted out
We have a 3-wheeler which we'll be using again for this baby, and I really like it mogwai. Ours is a bit of a beast though as we wanted something that would be good off-road - but even though it's quite heavy, it's easy to push and easily manoeuvrable. I know a couple of people with the iCandy Peach and they definitely seem pleased with them. The only thing I will say about 3 wheelers is I find if we're crossing a road that's on a reasonably steep hill, when you go up and down kerbs there's a point when all of the weight is on the front wheel (as you lift the back up or down) and ours is quite unstable and tries to wander off down the hill. That might be something to bear in mind if you're somewhere that's very hilly and likely to be going up and down kerbs a lot.You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0
