Oscar_the_Pug wrote: »Hello all - I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I'm 13+0 with my 1st and have been lucky to have very few symptoms so far. However today I've been feeling rough - had tenderness in 1 boob and then started with bad diarrhoea this pm. No bleeding, but bad cramps - though gut cramps, not period ones iyswim. I don't know if I've eaten something that's disagreeing with me, or if it's norovirus or what. Will call the docs in the morning if it's no better but just wondered if anyone else has been sick when it's unrelated to your pregnancy?
All 'normal' in pregnancy, but make sure you keep up fluids to avoid dehydration. I would certainly go along to your doctor if you are still feeling poorly in the morning.0 -
Aww sorry to hear that you couldn't make it to your scan ihatedida, how disappointing. Hope the re arranged one is soon!Mum of 2 :j0

Sorry you couldn't get to your scan ihatedida. I hope you don't have to wait too long for a new appt.0

Sorry to hear you didn't have your scan yesterday, IHateDida. I hope you don't have to wait too much longer.
I'm feeling a bit fed up as I'm 17+2 and I still feel tired and nauseous almost all the time. It's not bad enough to stop me doing things or eating, but I just feel rough. Someone kindly told me yesterday they thought I was looking a bit green. I'm working from home today so I got more sleep last night, but I seem to be having lots of vivid dreams and I wake up a few times for no apparent reason.
Oscar_the_Pug, I hope you're feeling much better today. I hope everyone else is doing well.0 -
Emily - I am the same at 15+5. I still feel nauseous and tired every single day and get headaches too about once a week
Really can't wait til it goes away. It gets you down doesn't it? x0 -
Hello all - thanks for the kind wishes. As I thought I felt loads better after a sleep, so right as rain again. I'm seeing the midwife in 2 weeks so will ask her about the 1 boob pain - which also seems to have resolved itself!0

Thank you for all your messages about me missing my scan - finally managed it! Although I am having to go back in a few weeks as baby was waving their arms everywhere - looking as though they were raving (probably due to the sonographer nearly killing me with the scanner - my goodness was I glad when she finally stopped jabbing it into my stomach - I felt like a piece of dough!) - but the baby was curled up in a strange position so they couldn't properly see everything.
However....I did find that the high bump theory about it being a girl...was indeed correct!:p (and am really chuffed - however, I think OH is worried about gaining a mini-me!)0 -
Yay, congrats on your pink bump, IHateDida
Hmm, I'm not sure if my bump is high or low, how do you tell?
For those still feeling pants, My nausea only shifted a couple of weeks ago and I'm 19 weeks now. It's a bit of a myth that you suddenly feel better after 12 weeks, but hopefully you'll feel better soon.
I think this baby is going to have curly hair as my curls have all but disappeared. This happened when I was pregnant with DS and, sure enough, he has my curls. They came back after he was born, but now they've gone again. Ah well, saves me faffing about with the straighteners for a while

So pleased you got to have your scan today IHateDida and all ok - and my prediction was right so I'm delighted
I'm really in two minds about whether to find out the sex of the baby or not! I've always said I wouldn't, but I'm getting SO curious now! Had a really weird dream about it being a girl last night, and now I just want to know! Scan a week on Monday so I've got time to make up my mind yet!
I'd echo what BB said - I am 18 +3 now and it's only really the last week or two that I've been feeling better. I retched today unexpectedly for the first time in a couple of weeks, I think it's because I hadn't eaten for quite a long period of time, but generally I feel so much better and am not being sick or feeling nauseous any more. My appetite has also come back in style! I was totally off chocolate until about a week ago and now can't get enough of it!
Hope all those feeling sick/nauseous etc will feel much better soon!
Any other scans coming up this week?0 -
grr I really want to join this thread! The other one is sooooo quiet!
Ages to go yet, although have my 12 week scan date - 12th Feb, and booking in appointment a week tomorrow so at least things are moving.
Congrats on team pink Dida
I'm all for finding out the flavour, makes clothes shopping/gifts from relatives/decorating nurseries so much easier! And the daze I was in after giving birth last time, I probably wouldn't have registered what I was being told anyway!
BB - glad you are no longer feeling sick and all is still going well.
I'm convinced this pregnancy is a figment of my imagination as apart from being bloated and tired, I have no symptoms at all. OH keeps telling me it was the same with my DS, but being me I can't relax fully..crap innit!
Exciting that your scan is so near too mrsJ!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0
