Fingers crossed for you lovecake, I hope it's nothing to worry about.
Congrats on your blue bump, snozberry. I'm finding it really hard to imagine this baby being anything other than a boy, so I think I might be in for a shock if we turn out to be team pinkOnly just over 2 weeks til we hopefully find out, so at least I'll have plenty of time to prepare myself if we do turn out to be having a girl.
I hope the issues with your placenta turn out to be nothing too serious too.
Babies do seem to delight in pressing on nerves, veins etc. I suffered from sciatica when pregnant with DS and have had a couple of twinges this time, so looks like I may have that to look forward to as this bean gets bigger.
I need to remember to do my pelvic floor exercises regularly too. I took DS to toddler gym on Monday and felt a little leak as I was jumping up and down at one pointOh the joys of pregnancy! :rotfl:

I have started a thread on the Grab it now board called Baby Bargains, thought it'd be handy to have somewhere to post any good deals anyone spots and swap recommendations.0

Hi everyone - I'm moving up from the <12 weeks board as I had my first scan today and am officially 12+1!!dippydooda wrote: »Lazywife I read this
and thought it said you'd had a poo in work! Lol, that would ruin my day too!! ha.
Hahaha I thought it said that too - however I'd love to have a poo at work (or any other loo tbh) - my main symptom has been sever constipation - makes me wonder what the little one is being powered off!! :eek:0 -

Do your pregnancy pills have iron in, apparently that doesn't help with constipation. I have Boots Pregnancy plus, but if I get a bit "bunged up" then I swap to Boots folic acid + Vit D for a couple of days. Frees things up a bit.
Had a day off today, got some paint for the nursery, and had a nice chilled out day, but got some jobs done too. A satisfying day.
Thanks Dipp for putting up the baby list on grabbit, I think that will prove useful.

Just a quick update to say that baby is fine. I didn't think it would be anything to worry about, but better to check these things.0

Hello. I posted a couple of times than the <12 weeks thread, and I keep meaning to join this one as I'm now 16+3. I had my midwife appointment this morning, and it was so reassuring to hear the heartbeat as it's been 5 weeks since my scan and I can't feel anything yet. I think I was a bit harsh with my first opinion of my midwife (at the booking in appointment she was very matter of fact and quite negative about my choice to have a nuchal scan), but she seemed much more friendly today so fingers crossed I'd caught her on a bad day. Hearing the heartbeat has really made it more real for me, and I can't wait to start feeling him/her. When did any of you start feeling kicks?
Lovecake, glad to hear all is well with the baby after yesterday's scare. Dippydooda, thanks for starting the grabbit thread, I'll have a read through. Oscar_the_Pug - Welcome to the thread. I'm glad the scan went well. Hopefully all the nasty symptoms will start to ease for you now. I'm still waiting for the 'glowing' part of the second trimester to kick in, as I actually feel worse and more tired and rundown than I did in the first!0 -
I'm 15+5 and having spoken to the midwife, I'm definitely feeling "flutters" but baby is too small for kicks yet. If I lie down and relax sometimes, it sort of feels like bubbles in my bump below my belly button - it's different to the stretchy, pulling feelings and at first made me think it was going to turn into stomach ache and hiccups!
I'm still waiting for the glowing part too, I finally have a little more energy but still sick as a pig with teenage style spotty skin!0 -
I wasn't too sure when I first felt my little boy move. I kept wondering whether it was because I needed the loo or not! But, soon I started feeling butterflies ... you know, that churning feeling you have when you are nervous or worrying about something. Now, I have little prods and pokes.
My little un has also discovered my bladder. It's wierd, one minute I am ok, then the next I am itching for the loo and, a few moments after that, I am ok again. Strange lol
Unrelated but my back is getting quite sore in the evenings now0 -
Sparkles that is how i've been feeling since i spoke to the midwife, before that i had felt like a bubbly/rumbly feeling but thought it was either wind or hunger but midwife confirmed it's the baby moving around! :-)0

Snozberry - could you have a bath of an evening to relax the muscles? After three really bad night's sleep, I'm going to start using my tens machine in the evenings to see if I can relax my lower back before I go to sleep.0
