How exciting snozberry! Are you going to tell us?
Hope it is nothing too serious with the placenta
Sorry you had a carp day lazywife. My day was looong, I had a 3 hour meeting to finish the day and have got home and am starving. Am currently eating icecream until I have the energy to make dinner0 -
yes, it is next to the exit and she said that if if doesn't budge then I need to have a C Section which I am not too happy about but if it is a case of needs must then so be it. I was in there for ages and she did a thorough job in looking at it and all of the organs and everything else. She told me that I might start to bleed and that I have to ring them up straight away. My journey to this point has been textbook and now this. At least I don't need to worry about having a wizards sleeve lol
I'm having a little boy which I am super excited about. I never saw myself as a girls mum plus my niece is going through puberty and I really don't want to deal with a girls raging hormones!0 -

Good call!
Snozberry- My friends sis had placenta in the way, and did have a bit of bleeding, she was admitted a bit early too and had to have section, but not really any major issues. At least the section was planned, rather than an emergency dash and the baby is perfectly healthy.
Hopefully things will run nice and smoothly for you. Don't they take loads of measurements.... seemed to be measuring forever, but nice to know they're checking I suppose.
BTW hooray on team blue. Think you'll have a little mini version of your OH.
Did anyone watch the tv last night on Liverpool's fertility clinic? Made me realise how lucky we are and how some peoples baby dreams never came through for them.0 -
They took ages! They took a snap of everything for their records and made me go for a walk when my little one decided that he had done enough posing and wanted to lay on his tum for a bit for a snooze
I hope that it will be ok. I think that I am partly concerned because I have never had an operation before. I accept that if it needs doing, then it needs to be done. I sailed through life with no stitches, no ops and no broken bones. I guess that the good luck run must end at some point though!0 -

I didn't watch it but having spoken to several of my friends who have taken 3 or 4 years to conceive, when I only took 3 weeks - I realise I am very very lucky (especially at my age).
I am due (hopefully) to find out the sex of mine a week today - I would prefer pink (as I like frills/pink/shopping!) but I think its blue. OH I think would prefer blue.
My right leg is still a nightmare as its numb most of the time I am standing on it - but I did swap midwives today (after my experience last week) - even though it does mean travelling an extra 10 miles to see her - now I am looking forward to my appointments rather than dreading them.
Hope everyone else is ok. Did anyone else order the bargain moses basket last week from the grabbit thread for £16? Mine arrived yesterday - its lovely - really pleased and they threw in a cutey toy too!:)0 -
you know I have been having pins and needles in my legs - well the feeling you get when it starts to go .. the sleepy, numb bit. I mentioned it to my midwife this morning and she said that it is normal. I also mentioned it at the hospital (just to double check really) and I was told that it's because I'm not having enough potassium and need to eat potassium rich foods like bananas.0

My midwife said it was because the baby is sitting on the main vein (can't remember what its called) - it comes on after 5 minutes of standing and then only goes when I sit down. Its been happening since 12 weeks and is quite annoying as I used to walk alot - now I can't. I would have thought that the baby would have shifted off the vein every now and then but it doesn't seem to - I guess the scan will show any problems.
I might try munching some bananas then and see if it might help a bit also.0 -
It's funny how they all say and do different things. I've been getting it in my arm as well as my legs so maybe it is down to different things. Fingers crossed that bananas help you.0

Lazywife I read thisHad a poo day in work today, glad to be home. Thinking of going to bed.x
Congrats Snozberry on yr blue scan :-) Exciting. I can't wait for my next scan, not till feb 5th tho, seems like ages away! We are not going to find out the sex but can't wait to see the difference. I had been feeling anxious lately as my friend who was 2 wks behind me found out at her 12 wk scan that her baby had diedAlong with not having put on weight and not showing yet I was feeling really worried. But had my MW 16wk app yest and she said I'm growing just fine, my uterus has moved up to by my belly button and heard a good strong heartbeat :-)
My main symptom has been pregnancy-rhinitis! a constant blocked nose basically but it is finally starting to clear yay!!0 -
Hello,
I've had bad stomach cramps since the early hours of this morning. They seem to be easing off now, but I'm off to the hospital at about 2.30 just to get checked over.
Exciting news Snozberry! I can't wait to find out the gender!
Hope everyone is feeling good today!0
