brilliant news lazywife, glad everything was perfect for you. those flutters will start turning into kicks before you know it!
i love the kicks but i really hate is when they kick or punch your bladder, i cant stand that feeling!
seems my local hospital is very expensive then charging 5quid a pic, and you have to put the money in one of those car park meters and get a receipt before u get pics.0 -
I'm in Devon and although they say pics are £3 each, I've never been charged. When I was having DS I thought it was probably because each time it was a friend of mine on reception (the sonographer gives you a ticket saying how many pics and you're supposed to pay at reception on the way out). However at my 12 week scan this time it was a different receptionist and she still didn't charge us, so maybe they just don't bother.
I think I've felt a couple of flutters today(14 weeks exactly). I'm fairly sure it wasn't wind as I've had quite a lot of that lately and am getting quite familiar with what that feels like

yey - glad another scan went well lazywife!!!
I am in North Wales and 12 week scans are free and 20 week scans should be £5 - but as mine was doing the hiding his head in the hands thing - they gave me four for 'free as I can't see much
missty - I have only had Braxton Hicks that I am aware of with this pregnancy, I did have them with my last but I never felt them - but had to go in to hospital for monitoring when baby stopped moving and they said I was having really strong ones - but I couldn't feel them
I get them in this pregnancy a LOT and they are quite uncomfortable - like someone pulling my belly tight and pushing it upwards. I have just been walking round Tesco trying to shop and had to lean on the trolley because they can be quite sore!!!
Flutters - BigBird and lazywife - how lovely!!! Its hard to tell whether its your first baby or not isn't it? I agree with helen the first kicks are quite sweet but when they get bigger those kicks can be quite mean!!! Mine have all been dreadful kickers - probably due to the fact that they are really long when born - and sometimes it does take you by surprise when its in the ribs or bladder!! I have a right kicker inside me at the moment - never stops day or night!!
Hope everyone is well xxxxx0 -

I feel ripped off
- our scans are £4 each - and we have to buy "stamps" from a machine on the wall to pay for them. I felt like I was buying supermarket saving stamps putting pound after pound into the machine! My dating scan pics aren't even that great - baby was lying well positioned but in one pic - they'd cut off about a third of it!
Talking of work - I haven't told them yet - I am planning on telling them at 18 weeks....I feel a bit guilty - we haven't even told our families yet....(I am 14+3)....(about 5 friends know, thats it!). At what stage did you all tell work/family?0 -
Hi Sammy:wave:
Wrexham Maelor - have had all 3 of my babies there and am planning to go there with this one too. But we have the choice of the Countess in Chester or Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan.

I am in Mold so not too much difference between wrexham or chester for me. But I had my first at the maelor and know wrexham much better. I have friends who live by me but went to Glan Clwyd. So the options will be there for you.0

I'm in Kent and my local hospital scan pics are free but you can make a donation if you'd like to.
Glad all the scans went well today
I told work (well, my manager) almost as soon as I knew because of my miscarriages and the nature of my job in order to get my risk assessment done and appropriate support for parts of my job. We told parents and siblings after our 12 week scan. We've told a handful of friends only and other colleagues have been noticing bump for a few weeks and asking me but I've not officially told anyone else at work.0 -
