JT100 - yes that is shocking. At least we only have to pay for the 20 week scan and thankfully we don't have to pay for parking - though you do need to run out and renew your ticket after 3 or 4 hours. Unless you are in labour and then you can get a special ticket for the car - thank goodness :rotfl:
I have had 7 or 8 scans this time because of the HG (I was also bleeding internally from being so sick) - that would have been a huge amount of money to have to pay out!
It's a shame not everyone gets the same choices. I appreciate you can't see much when baby is only weeks old, but its a nice keepsake to look back on, especially when you have had extra ones due to concerns.
Whereabouts do you live? Just so I know never to move there...:rotfl: xxx
mrsj28 - Its a bonus if you get to hear anything, its a lovely sound, Very different to seeing it beating away on the scanner.

Hello,
£10 per pic, that is pricey! Our car park is £3 for 1-4 hrs, so glad not too many hospital visits to go to at the mo.
Got maternity dates sorted with work today, so it's a worry I don't have to think about. Ending up going about 4 wks before EDD so should have plenty of time to prep (like you to use up as much of holiday as pos before you go and our holiday period is April 1 - March 30). Although maybe tearing my hair out by then!!!
Great to see you've graduated to here MrsJ

Hello ladies....congratulations to you all. :j
I am sort of gatecrashing here as I have only just found out I am pregnant....and I'm 14 weeks - ish!!
Bit of a shock, but a nice shockMy youngest is 12, so I am a bit apprehensive, but something to look forward too
:happyhear We are not put on this earth for ourselves, but are placed here for each other.
If you are there always for others, then in time of need, someone will be there for you.

Helen - I had my work xmas do on fri night, was quite funny watching everyone get progressively drunker! I noticed that lots of people touched me (not inappropriately, just hugs, arm around me etc) - not sure if this is because they just found out i'm pregnant or is normal when out drunk but usually I am too so don't notice! Also had a wedding yesterday, which was lovely, though we were the first couple to leave I think. Really feeling quite tired now - that's a big weekend for me these days!
welcome niknok and specialk!0 -
Hello mrsj28! :hello: Haven't we met somewhere before....!!
Welcome specialk - at least you haven't had to go through the less than 12 week worry period! Congratulations!:T
Hello also niknok - whats BnB??? (I am clueless!)
helen4891, I would have honestly have lumped your friends husband. What a cheeky git!
We told the OHs parents at the weekend - basically we put a pic of the scan in a Xmas card with a "hello, I'm your new grandchild" speech bubble coming from its mouth! They kept staring at it at first - as though it was a sick joke (as we have always said we weren't having any!) - but they are really pleased thankfully! Still don't know how to tell my family....:(0 -
hello, had my birth options today wasnt very pleased though as my notes from 6 -7 weeks ago were suppose to be requested but havent shown up yet.
really makes me wanna drive 4 miles up the road ask for them , then drive 20 miles other way and give them to them. if only i could. as she didnt have them, she couldnt tell me much about ne thing, just maybe ill get induced at 38 weeks or maybe a c section, got a appointment with a consultant at 36 weeks which is when they will decided or i will.
Rant over!!!
ive had these really horrible pains all day today in my belly, it awful, i dont have a clue what going on in there, but never ever had ne thing like this with other 2, walking hurts and feel out of breath. i can feel baby kicking around so he seems ok. just hoping its gone by tomorow. This baby is still laying really really low so maybe the reason for the pains.
hope everyone is ok!?

Hello!
Phew I'm feeling the tiredness now. The running round getting stuff sorted for Christmas is starting to get exhausting now. Was up with 11pm folding cards in envelopes for DH's business clients. Had to do 950 though.... that takes alot of time .
Have an afternoon off work as had some time owing, very grateful for that, thinking about maybe a cheeky sleep before DH's christmas party tonight.
Hope you feel better today Helen.x0
