Hi, Snozberry. Try not to worry. I'm almost eighteen weeks and feel exactly the same. I have absolutely no symptoms - maybe we shouldn't complain, but it's weird when you don't 'feel' pregnant. I have to keep reminding myself cos all my clothes fit fine and I like to sleep on my stomach (give me a couple of weeks and I'll probably be huge!) I'm looking forward to my scan on Christmas eve. Take care. XX0

Yep Snozberry, I felt normal from about the start of the 2nd trimester except my bump arrived at 13 weeks, other than that no symptoms until kicks arrived. I've been lucky though. Only other symptom that's stuck with me is more burping (but much less than in 1st trimester!) And mild acid in the back of my throat depending what I've eaten...0

Hi, was just wondering if ne one else is still feeling very tired?
Chonorla Had to laugh about your ds and xmas concert, my ds is 6 and is the same aswell, half the time he looks like he going to fall asleep the other time he just stands there and don't sing, and just does silly things keep he self busy I think.
Wonder how today goes as he actually got one line to say!
And
I hate gavison aswell, even the thought of it make me want to gag, Im likening the orange Rennies at the mo, Im not getting a lot of heartburn a the mo,
Ne one else wonder what your baby going to look like? I get quite excited to think about this, as both my sons where so different, one had no hair and brown eyes the other had loads of hair and blue eyes
Once I've had my scan on wednesday I'll tell you all the sex!! Even though I know I'm just making sure its correct!! Cx0 -
Hello ladies - had my second 20 week scan today but baby was still being naughty :rotfl: He is still tucked right in my pelvis and she could see his face but said she wouldn't have been able to tell me the sex or do his bottom half today - just aswell that was all we saw last time!! So all in all he is now finally ALL scanned.
I had to go for a walk and come back half an hour later because I was having really strong Braxton Hicks and it looked like my placenta was lying across my cervix opening. When I went back to be scanned again, the Braxton Hicks had stopped and the placenta had moved away from the opening. Was very relieved. :T
Have got a very cute scan picture of my very "shy" baby face down curled up with his hands across his face
Helen4891 - Hope the concert went well!!! Such fun aren't they!!! Bless them
I hate Gaviscon so much because when I had hyperemesis with my first DS, that it was the doctor prescribed for me initially  And I only have to smell it now and I am heaving - which I don't really need at the moment! Seriously Gaviscon for hyperemesis - it made me sick more!
I am really tired at the moment too. But I have been having a number of late nights trying to get my uni assignment finished before I go on holiday. Also, I do think looking after our other little ones makes it so much harder too. I never get a minutes peace and as soon as DH gets home from work I go straight to the uni library to study!! Just got home now and have sent DH out for a ChineseI remember with my first I would just have a little nap when needed when I got home from work, no such chance now!!!
Baby is now booting the life out of my hips all morning and then around teatime. Also seems to like a little disco dance between 3-5 am every morning......Sign of things to come maybe?? :rotfl:
Just printed the Maternity Allowance forms out - had forgotten how blinking long they were!! I have to claim this because I have given up work recently - SMP is so much better when your employee sorts it out!!!
Have a nice evening everyone :kisses:0 -

Great news on your scan chornola, glad all was good xxx
I never had Brixton hicks before :-)
I was wondering if I got them last week though, I had terrible back ache and my stomach keep cramping for most of the day, I even google it co I thought I was goin into early labour. And I'm not one to worry about things!!
Yea it's the weekend, no school runs for 2 days !!!!!!0 -
Hallo ladies
Hope that you're all well and enjoying the weekend, we've sunshine down in Kent today which is such a nice change (lifting my spirits!). I still find winters here really hard to cope with. Bit worried about the forecasts for snow next week and will be gutted if we do have snow on Tuesday as it's my birthday and is supposed to be HOT not snowy... ho hum will have to wait and see.
Glad that all was good at your scan chonorla and not long at all now helen or lazywife for your scans
I've really struggled this week; 5 day weeks are too much! Most evenings I dropped off on the sofa straight after dinner, and I thought at this stage we were meant to be getting a surge of energy!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend ladies; DH is just home from work so we're off out to make the most of the sunshine

Hello Everyone,
I'm currently 23 weeks with a little boy. Already have DD aged 5. I suffered from Hyperemisis badly between weeks 6 and about 18 and gradually it has subsided and I can enjoy being pregnant a bit more.
Got a question re maternity allowance and wondered if anyone in similar position? I take home £79 a week so can't get SMP, however I work for the NHS and get occupational pay of full pay for 8 weeks the. Half pay for the next 18 weeks. I am waiting on getting my mat b1 back from them plus the form the give to send to DWP for maternity allowance.
Reading up the guidelines on Mat allowance as I understand that the pay I will get from NHS is occupational that this will not be included in my application for Mat allowance. Also I need to send 13 weeks of payslips that can go back for 66 weeks from EDD and they also do not need to be fromc consecutive weeks and it actually tells you in the guidelines that you can choose payslips where you have done overtime and they will work out the average from these weeks and decide what your allowance will be. I have 13 weeks payslips with overtime ranging from earnings of £15F0 to about £225 with the average working out T £159. Does anyone know will I get the £135 per week of Maternity Allowance based on these figures? I'm just trying to work out how much money we will have while I am off and as my forms probably won't be sent until after Christmas now I am just anxious to know if 1) my NHS occupational really wont be included when DWP work out my Mat allowance And 2) if according to the way they work it out I will receive the full entitlement to Mat Alloawance.
Sorry for such a long post but I don't know where I can get the right info and when I've phoned up the helpline they basically have told me I'll need to wait until I have sent all the forms inhead hitting off a brick wall!
Glad all your scans have gone smoothly, I've been lurking and readi g for a while:)Lloyds loan £7045.16/£0.00 Lloyds CC £896.99/£649.25, barclaycard £2792.20/£4582.93, OD £1500, Next £210.43/£734.21, OD £300, Virgin CC £3135/£1108.53, Starting total,£15829.78, running total, £8874.92 paid off to date, £2303/6811.76/6654.86

helen4891 - I never had any Braxton Hicks or so I thought with my other 3 - but my last DS had limited movement in the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy and I went in to be monitored about half a dozen times and they told me I was having very strong BH which was why he was not moving as much - I never felt them at all!!
I have been feeling them with this one since about 14 weeks - they are nothing like proper contractions, it feels like someone is pulling the skin tight across my belly from the sides and my bump goes really hard and lifts slightly. they can be a little uncomfortable but nothing like real labour
missty25 - hello and welcome  Glad your hyperemesis has gone. Wish mine would. I am getting better than I was but still taking the tablets.
As for your maternity pay - I have claimed SMP twice and Maternity Allowance once before and again for this one. I am not sure of the answer really, but I remember the MA office not being able to tell me much when I claimed last time - I was made redundant (well it was a charity which lost funding and closed )on maternity leave and then was pregnant before my SMP ran out. But I was entitled to MA for the second maternity leave because SMP counts as wages!!! Very confusing!!!
When you say occupational pay do you mean maternity pay for 26 weeks (8 on full pay and half pay for 18) from the NHS?

I have BH but they don't feel like anything, only if I feel my bump with my hands it's rock hard and lumpy.0
