Hello ladies - haven't been on all day as have only just stopped being sick...._pale_ - everytime I think I am getting somewhere it comes back with a vengeance....At least it is not still 24 hours a day every day - I am 21 weeks now and I am definitely better than when I started the medication. Hyperemesis is such a joy
helen4891 - I have a 14 year old boy, a 4 year old girl and my little boy has just turned 3. So with this baby number 4 being a boy - me and my daughter will definitely be outnumbered!!! I have only had one comment of "Oh dear another boy" - well it was going to be "another" boy or girl wasn't it???? I already have a mixture!!! After all of the bleeding and the umpteen scans I have had I am just thankful he is ok and I am still pregnantOh yes and enjoying the sickness still :rotfl:
Ouch to the heartburn too - I had it dreadful with my daughter and night was the worst time for me - I would spend many a night nearly crying and I am not a cry baby at all. I slept sitting up from about 18 weeks because it was so bad. I had so many pillows in the bed because I also had SPD that there was barely room for my DH :rotfl: Thankfully (not sure that is the right word?) I only have the SPD this time so just 2 extra pillows and room for my DH  She also had a massive head full of curly red ringlets so I blame the hair too!!! I get it occasionally now but nothing like before.
claretsgirl - I felt all of mine move at different times. This one I have felt flutters from about 11-12 weeks but am still only feeling the odd definite movement even at 21 weeks. My last one I was being kicked a lot by 16-17 weeks so it really can vary. I also have a womb the tilts the "wrong" way and am carrying this baby really low. So this affects how much movement I feel too. I know they say that the more babies you have, the earlier you feel them each time, but that hasn't been the case for me? What about you?
I suppose we should just enjoy the little flutters for now, as I have very vivid memories of my insides being kicked black and blue by my monster size babies....
Saffagal - So glad the scan went well and how lovely they were to put a scan in the envelope for your sister.
My next scan is next friday - so hopefully baby will show his face this time :rotfl: Not just his back and his "man" bits! I am to eat a mars bar before I go next time but I can still feel him lying low so have got a feeling he is not going to be any more co-operative...
Hope everyone is feeling ok and yey to all the scans that are due soon!!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good evening ladies. Thanks for your responses. Just thought I might have felt something by now with this being number three for me. I think I felt my other two at around twenty weeks. Maybe soon, although my last two were never 'kickers'.
Other than that I feel great. I keep forgetting I'm pregnant actually. I'm still sleeping on my stomach, no heartburn, no getting up for the loo during the night. Now I'm starting to feel worried. At least I have a check up tomorrow so hopefully it will put my mind at rest.
Take care of yourselves. X0 -
claretsgirl - I didn't feel pregnant for most of the time from the 12 week scan to the 20 week one - no movements, and no symptoms aside from bump! So don't worry
Much better when they start moving though!

Afternoon ladies, bumps et al!
My my the heartburn has returned with a vengeance this weekI shall try some of the tips you ladies have recommended and keep my bottle of Gavisc*n handy!
I dont 'think' I've felt any flutters yet (19 weeks) but last night quite low down, in fact almost at my hair line (sorry if tmi) I did think I felt a little something twice in about 10 mins and it wasnt followed by any gas evacuation either. Maybe that was it???
Most times when I think its a movement, its gas :rotfl:Poor hubby!
I felt very weird yesterday, tummy was very tight and uncomfortable, almost felt like insides were being twisted. Backache still hurting and ccoyxyx(sp) too, but I'm not moaning really, I wouldnt have it any other way.............well, maybe just all the nice pregnancy stuff!!!
Off to get some new clothes with my bestie tomorrow so looking forward to that
have a lovely weekend xxxBut I want a golden goose daddy and I want it right NOW!!!!!
Yes Verucca dear. :rotfl:0 -
helen4891 - Have you given me your heartburn????????? Had it dreadful all of last night - didn't realise you were sharing?
But has gone off now - think it was because I ate just before I went to bed......only myself to blame....
I have been getting really bad pins and needles in my arms and hands at night - never had this before with any of the others? Have read its normal but its a bit of a pain being woken up even more times in the night. I get it in my hips but I know that is due to the SPD and sciatica - any ideas what causes it in my arms and hands??????
claretsgirl - How did the check up go? Hope all is well.
just want a house - That sounds like its baby you felt - mine often start with that bubbly feeling anywhere in the groin/very low stomach area. Though do agree that gas does increase with pregnancy........:rotfl:
Hope everyone else is well xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Evening ladies
Hope we're all well?
Just a quick post here to see how we're all doing as although DH and I were off work end of last week we spent the time doing some touristy things that will be more difficult to do once Pip has arrived. It was lovely, but FREEZING!! Oh, I do struggle with these cold Decembers
I've my mw again in the morning which means I can ease into the week with a little lie in
Hope everyone has a lovely Monday

hello everyone *waves*! I have just graduated from the less than 12 weeks thread but I'm now 14 weeks. I just wanted to wait until my second trimester officially started. This is my first baby and I am the wrong side of 35 - eek!
I'm happy to say that I no longer feel as ill and as tired as I used to0 -
Welcome snozberry and Congratulations on your graduation to the middle thread
Lots of women have their first babies after 35 now a days so I wouldn't worry to much about being an "older" mum. I'm not too far from being there myself! Yay for feeling less tired and ill tho! Long may that last
Hope that everyone else has had a good day today?
AFM, saw the mw this morning and she was pleased. She wrote in my notes for height of uterus an "=" sign - anyone know what this means? When she was feeling for it she did say it was exactly where she expected to find it though, had a listen to baby who didn't like being disturbed and kicked/punched at the dopplar a few times hehe. Also found out the dates for the antenatal classes (called parentcraft in my area). I can go either in Jan or Feb/Mar - not sure which would be better? If baby comes early I may miss the last Mar class, but would Jan be too early? Work won't be pleased as although I'm entitled to the paid time off to attend they'd prefer I choose classes that are in the evenings/weekends. All the courses are one evening and three morning classes - the only choice is the month.
Work was a stress today - off a couple of days last week and you'd think I was the only permanent staff member... I'd left a list of 5 things for my assistant and colleague to complete. None of them were done, each for a different reason! So frustrating!!! One of my projects over the next few months is to do a VERY thorough handover on how EVERYTHING works so that the unit will still function when I go off, realised today I am going to have to include the very basics including how to change the fax cartridge... I walked in to complaints of "the fax is broken". Sigh! Only three and a half months to go! Can't wait!
Off to make dinner and then have some advent choccie catch-up - totally missed the fact that as December started on Saturday so should our advent calender have! D'oh!
Have a lovely evening ladies,
Saf xx0 -
Oooh exciting Saf, 3 days of advent choc all at once!
Sorry I've been a bit quiet, nothing exciting going on here. Bump is definately on show now. Not really feeling movements yet, also my sis said it was probably 22 weeks before she recognised the movements as baby.
Had a bit of a look at pushchairs/prams and thinking of cot etc. Nothing too set, but nice to get a bit of an idea.
I too am a bit wary of leaving work to it. I've been there 8 years, and I'm often the person that they refer to on what to do when, looking forward to maternity baby time away from work.
Loving lurking reading all the updates. Chonorla, you obviously are having a royal baby with all your sickness.
Anyone else excited to be having a baby the same year as the future king / Queen?
L.xxx0
