    I've been Money Tipped!
Saf, sounds like your Consultant led care is working well. Lots of scans booked too so lots of reassuring times to see the little one.
20 wks will be our last scan I think we only get the two ordinarily unless there is any probs (so will be thankful really if we only have to two ifkwim) DH was struggling to get time off work, but thankfully he's managed to, for him really, didn't want him to miss the chance of seeing the wriggler.
Not much feeling yet, sometimes if I lie really still can feel a wriggle, but not really.
Chonorla, can't believe all the work you've got to do, especially as you're still sicky. I'm sure you'll get a bit of a productive spell and whizz round and get your dissertation, christmas bits and all your mummsy stuff all sorted. And on the up side christmas starts 9 days early for you... I love christmas!
Helen, Claretsgirl, hope you're both well... when you eventually find us!

lazywife - yes that was the plan, that Christmas starts early for us! I was working 4 days a week last year and didn't finish till Xmas Eve and felt like it was all a rush trying to get ready with 3 kids and felt like it was just thrown together, So we decided in January , to book this holiday, which meant it would give us time to relax before. I hadn't planned to give up work when I started my MA in September, but added to the sickness, it just seemed like the sensible thing to do and balancing all 4 seemed impossible when the time got closer!!

But for some reason things seem more manic this year!!!! But am counting down the days till I can put my decs and tree up!!! Its even written on my calender :rotfl: I am really a child at heart...

As for the feeling baby move - all mine have been so different. I am 20 weeks on Saturday and am starting to feel the odd proper "poke" of a hand or foot - I have had the bubbly and "stomach over a hill" feeling since about 13 weeks but nothing more than that. My last DS I was feeling properly from 15 weeks. I guess its all about the way they are lying and whether you notice it or not! If you are active all the time you just don't notice it either?

Saffagal - Extra scans will be good, Its nice to see baby and does put your mind at rest. I will have my 20 week scan on Monday (4 more sleeps!) and then I will have one around 34 weeks to check the size of baby - which you can't see much on because they are quite large and curled up by then!! I had a private 4D scan at 27 weeks with my daughter and that was fantastic - so your extra scans will be lovely as it will all still be quite clear and it will look like a proper baby too!!

Hope everyone else is well xxxx

  • Evening ladies :)

Took me a good little while to find the thread today! Quite irritating that it's been moved about a bit...

helen, ooh, that is why I don't want to find out - I don't think I'd be able to keep it to myself!

    So how is everyone?
AFM, I'm ok, it was a very tiring work - I usually work 5 days one week, 4 the next. Well, this week was a 5 day week and I was struggling by Friday afternoon. For some reason my commute is particularly bad at the moment.... all these cars have appeared from heaven knows where! Think if it continues like this I'll speak to my manager about leaving site early and doing my notes/reports once I get home. I'm also struggling when trying to sleep; apart from waking once or twice a night for the loo when I do wake I struggle to get back to sleep; sometimes it takes up to an hour as I just can't get comfortable again - any suggestions from second/third/fourth timers?

Hope we're all having a lovely weekend

I was lucky with the waking to go to the loo thing, I'm still not doing that every night (and due date tomorrow!!). I did notice that my sleep was a lot lighter though and more likely to wake up, or wake up early (first trimester more than the others though).

If you are interested, one thing that's guaranteed to put me to sleep is my hypnobirthing CD! I got to bed last night and was awake (for some reason, I'd been tired all day!) so turned that on and was asleep before it was over (the track I'm listening to is 30 mins). There are also some 'pregnancy relaxation' tracks (I'm on the prep for birth one at the moment, obviously).

hi, i was waking up needing the toilet aswell, ive just cut down on my drink intake at night, i try not to drink at least an hour before bed. maybe worth trying?
if not just hope it passes! i remember with my other 2 pregnancys it was the last 2/3 weeks that i used to wake up alot , i suppose it just your body getting you used to getting up for the night feeds which are about to come.
im keeping my fingers crossed that i have another easy baby again , ds 1 sleeped though the night at 6 weeks old. and ds2 sleeped through the night from 3 weeks, and before that only woke up at 2am for one bottle from birth, felt soo lucky when i heard about other mums i knew!

why am still feeling tooo tired at the moment ? i thought it was suppose to go any one else still like this?

Hello ladies :hello: Found us again - bit like a game of cat and mouse this....Hope we are here to stay!!!!

    Team Blue!!!!! for me!!!

Had my 20 week scan and all is well. I have to go back because baby would not face forward (all of my babies have been like this...) and will have to go back for them to check the face.

Very weird asking the sex as I have not done before - but that bit was very clear on the scan :D

Me and DD are definitely outnumbered now  Even counting the cat we are still outnumbered :rotfl:

    helen4891 - well I am guessing girl........or boy :)

Apparently I am beginning to "bloom" too, or so everyone keeps telling me. They clearly haven't seen me with my head down the toilet.....But am starting to feel better - am down to one tablet a day and about 2-3 sick sessions a day.

I told my friend this morning (her first baby) and she couldn't understand why I am being sick if it is a boy - her mum has told her you are only sick on girls. I have severely disappointed her having had hyperemesis with 2 boys and a girl, with the boys being the worst :( She is 12 weeks pregnant and think she was decided what she was having :o

I am waking up less at night to go to the toilet but am not a great sleeper anyway. My SPD has set in quite severely so I have to wake DH at night to help me out of bed if I do need to go - and he is such a heavy sleeper, its a pain! I have good sleeps and bad sleeps and seem to be getting better, but can wake up in the night and take ages to go back off :(

As for being uncomfortable - just wedge yourself in the bed with a number of pillows - I have one inbetween my legs, one for the side of my bump and I now have 3 under my head to keep me propped up. Since I have stopped being sick in the night I have chronic heartburn - can't win!!! :rotfl:

Other than that, no other tips Saffagal - I think your sleep does go through strange patterns when pregnant, but I think speaking to your Manager would be your best bet. That commute cannot be much fun for you and only adds to the stress and tiredness.:(

Lazywife - we have till 6th January to get our assignment in now so can relax a bit ;) . Even put the christmas decorations and tree up last night... I know, I know its too early but I am worse than the children.....

Hope everyone else is well xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Must have tempted fate, as ended up on the Antenatal ward for about 36 hours, after a few bleeds.
