Hello! Thanks for the good wishes. Baby seems fine, thank goodness. The nurse thinks the placenta might have been the problem. Apparently, it's lying ever so slightly over the cervix at the moment. I've been told to rest up for a few days and hopefully the 'bleed' will stop. I just feel exhausted now with all the worry, and no, it wasn't the nicest sat there on my own when the rest were couples! The nurses were lovely though.
Helen, you're a better person than me if you can keep it a secret! Lol. Even if I didn't want to I'd end up spilling the beans. X0 -
helen4891 - no this does not count at all!!
Feel free to keep us updated!!!! :rotfl:
claretsgirl - glad everything seems to be ok. Its just worrying when these things happen. I find resting always eases my bleeding - so put yr feet up xxxx0 -
helen, that's just typical isn't it! Hmmm, I guess we don't really count but if you're not telling anyone, then even telling us is telling, just my opinion on the matter
Saying that, I'm still really nosy and would love it if you did share!
claretsgirl, so glad that baby is ok :j I know what you mean re sat there alone whilst the rest are couples, especially when you're feeling sick with worry! I've had to go a few times on my own when hubby couldn't get out of work. Take it easy over the coming days x
AFM, had a lovely day and was actually quite productive this morning - Yay me! lol Had to head into town for some errands, got a few more Christmas presents sorted whilst there, got home and washed all my car windows (not energetic enough to wash the whole car! but needed to do the windows for safety as my commute is in the dark now), emptied the dishwasher (usually dh's chore), tidied the kitchen and did the laundry before settling down with a nice book
Hope we all have a lovely evening

Well it's all gone a bit quiet here hasn't it!
How's things? A few of you must be getting close to your 20 wk scans now? I've only 3 wks on Thursday to wait for ours.
Saw MW in work today (she popped in for an appointment for her, recognised me and she said I was looking really well, which was lovely) and have managed to get together a few outfit that are not quite full on maternity, have a bit of shape, but baggy enough to be comfy.
Hope you're all well.

Evening all, wow it has been quiet!
DH, bump and I were away at the weekend, went to visit my cousin and her husband and had a lovely time! We'd not seen them since August when both our mom's were visiting and I'd barely spoken to her since then till Oct as I wanted to wait till after our 12 week scan before sharing and I couldn't have hid it had we spoken properly.
I've the consultant again on Wednesday this week, and my 20 week scan next Wed - I really can't wait to see Pip again!
My work is being really supportive too - shame, my manager rang me this evening to reassure me that although my current locum has given notice and is finishing on Wednesday, they are actively looking for a replacement to start ASAP to support me for the remainder of my pregnancy and potentially to cover my mat leave too!
lazywife, glad that you've been able to sort some comfy outfits out for yourself. I'm pretty much wearing mat clothes now, apart from a couple of larger work tops that I found at work.
Hope everyone else is well

Hello ladies !!!:hello: Took a while to find us - see they have had a swap round of the forum again!!! I am always losing threads at the best of times!!
Yes it is quiet in here isn't it? I am in major panic mode at the moment. I have my first Masters assignment due in middle of December (How do they always creep up on you, even though you know the date they are due???), need to finish the Christmas shopping, put up the decs,, make Christmas concert outfits plus a hundred and one other "mum" things (cards, wrapping etc) - AND we are going on holiday the week before Christmas so everything has to be done by the 16th at the latest!!!!!! Why do I put myself through this?????? :rotfl:
Am weaning myself off the sickness medication, am managing on one or two tablets a day. I am feeler much sicker without them and am still getting horrendous morning sickness for about 2 hours solid but really want to see if I can do without them now.
I am sick about another 2-3 times a day but can eat - as long as I don't mix food and drink within an hour of each other - so progress has been made!!!! I am not going to say, I think it is going because last time I tempted fate and ended up back in hospital  So I am just saying progress has been made
My scan is next Monday morning - am very excited!!! DH is coming with me, and may have to take DS age 3 as we have no one to have the little monkey!!!
Sadly the SPD has settled in, so am in pain. Really hoped it was going to bypass me this time
Claretsgirl - how are you doing now? I know the feeling about everyone being in couples, I have driven myself to hospital with all of my bleeding episodes and hyperemesis - and the nurses do look at you as though you have lost it sometimes!! But I have 3 other children and we have little family support (Only my mum but she works full time) , so it isn't a choice we have. It would be nice to have a bit of moral support I do agree though
helen4891 - Any decisions made on whether you are not going to find out?
Saffagal - Is your scan next Wednesday? Not today?
Hope everyone is well!!! Look after yourselves xxxxx0 -
Evening ladies,
that's a good point chonorla about having difficulty finding us! It took me a little while the other day.
Glad to hear that you're making progress. Lol, even though you've set yourself all those targets to complete by mid December, I'm sure you'll make it and then some!
AFM, yes my scan is next Wed - counting sleeps now and getting impatient for it! I had a follow up appt with the consultant today and she was happy with me, only wants to see me again at 24 weeks unless I have a problem before then in which case I must email her. She also wants me to have additional scans at 28 and 34 weeks to check that Pip is growing well. To me that is definitely a bonus of having consultant care! Woot! In between her appts, I'm to keep seeing my community mw. So that was a lovely appt today even though I didn't get to see baby.
Hope everyone else is well,
Saf xx0
