Hi, I've got one very active little baby tonight, I'm getting kicked black and blue tonight. , it lovely though x and my husband can feel baby as well now so it great!!!
My son who's 6 felt baby move after dinner and got so excited, he always telling me he love the baby already, he is such a wonderful boy, and then my other son who's who's nearly 3 keeps kissing my bump, wow I feel lucky to have such great children xx
Ne way welcome snozberry hope everything is briliant with you. Xx
Hope everyone else is great today!!
Ne one else got scan coming up?? My next one is 12 dec, may have to have growth scans but not sure yet as gota c birth choice on 17th about labour and birth.

lazywife - ha ha :rotfl::rotfl: royal baby that did make me laugh!! Not too sure though as I had hyperemesis with DS1 and DD1 aswell and although I love them dearly - they are certainly not royalty
And it wouldn't be fair on my DS2 either - he would be left out! I had nothing with him.
All jokes aside, I do feel for KateHaving been hospitalised and medicated with 3 out of my 4 children (and lost 3 stone with the first one ) - I would not wish it on my worst enemy. It is an awful condition and a lot of people don't take it seriously and think its just morning sickness and we should just get on with it
Never mind, am still on medication and being sick but am slowly reducing the dose to see how I go.
Congratulations to them both though!!!
How far are you now lazywife? Its really hard to tell sometimes if its baby you can feel or wind!!!! And I have felt all mine at such different stages. I am 22 weeks now and feeling proper little kicks - before it was gassy bubbly type feelings from about 13-14 weeks but its only the last week or two that he's started giving me a proper nudge or kick.
Saffagal - Can't really help with the ante-natal classes, I have never been to one for any of my babies ..... I am sure Jan won't be too early and do what is best for you and OH - if he plans to come with you?
Welcome snozberry  Not my first baby but I am 36 so things have been slightly different for me this time too. Glad the tiredness and sickness has worn off, My tiredness has too thankfully, sadly the sickness won't b****r off......:o
claretsgirl - Hope you are well too?
Hope everyone else is doing ok!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
helen4891 - I have another scan this friday, but that is only because I have naughty babies that won't look at the sonographers!!!!:rotfl:0

Good evening all! Sorry I've been so busy with work this week. I'm absolutely fine thanks. Nothing really to report. I still have no symptoms and they didn't really do anything at my MW appointment last week other than check my wee and blood pressure. I've not had any 'hands on' examinations or anything. Work has got me down this week and to be honest I have basically been duped into a job that has left me worse off. To top it off my line manager hadn't even advised HR that I was pregnant. I had told her seven weeks ago. Just feel very let down and can't wait to finish now. The good news is that I get to finish a week earlier than expected! :-)
Welcome Snozberry. It's been fifteen years since I had my last baby and I don't seem to be finding this any different now I'm so much older (from what I can remember at least). I'm 40.0 -

So what other children do you have claretsgirl? That is a big gap 15 yearsThought I was mad after a 10 year gap!
No, the only difference I have found (so far) was the triple blood test thingy - I have only seen the MW once in 22 weeks (at 16 weeks) and I won't see her now till the 2nd January. But I guess I may be different being 4th baby - seems like just a case of let me get on with it!!! :rotfl:
I had a letter today for my next appointment with the Consultant at 32 weeks and a growth scan to see how big baby is.
claretsgirl - a big boo to work for youThats not a great way to be treated. But fantastic to the week earlier leaving :T Bet you are counting down the days!
Hugs to everyone and hope they are feeling well xxxx0 -
Hi Chonorla, I have two girls 15 & 16. Work is really rubbish at the moment and yes I am on countdown. Lol.
I also seem to have been 'left to it' by the midwives. It's a shame really as I have forgotten a lot since first time round. :-)
Hope everyone is feeling well - heartburn aside! What is it like?

Hey there, have a cold and feel grumpy. Didn't sleep great last night with sore throat and stuffy nose, although seems to have cleared a little bit this evening. Normally would just dose up on decongestant & paracetemol to clear it, but I'm reluctant to take anything really.
I'm 19 +1 today. Got scan on 13th (I seem to run a day behind you Helen) and can't wait to see the wriggler. Not going to find out if boy / girl though, going to hold off until we meet it... DH insists on jungle theme either way, so it's not like we'll be pretty pinky girly if that's the case anyway.
Hope you're all well.x0 -
Just got in from my daughters Xmas concert - she was a mouse and she sang and danced lovely! It was such a change from 7 years of watching my DS1 either picking his nose, not singing one note, looking generally bored or chatting with his mates during his concerts! Joys of boys :rotfl:
claretsgirl - oh my goodness how lovely - 2 girls already!!! Are they excited? Am sure they will be a big help to you, My 14 year old is quite handy when I need him to be!!
I have rotten heartburn - eating Rennies all the time. Can't stomach Gaviscon at all. It just appears even when I have not eaten anything - grrrrr.
I felt like a first time mum again when I had my daughter after the 10 year gap and they didn't seem to bothered then. The HV invited me to a First time mums group after I had DD but I didn't go for a couple of reasons. It was quite a shock to the system to go back to having someone so dependent on you again, but it does all slowly come back to you. Things do change (ie making up bottles, sleeping advice etc) but I just did what I felt was right (as some guidelines change year after year!!!) and my DD and DS2 have lived to tell the tale!!
lazywife - hugs for the cold - there's so much going round at the moment. Countdown to the scan too!!! I never found out the sex with my first 3, but decided to find out on this one seen as it will be my last! Feels a bit strange knowing what I am having - but as I have a mixture already, it was never going to be anything different!!!

Evening all, just a flying post to say Hi tonight
Hope we're all well. DH felt definite kicks tonight - he thought he did last week at 19+4 for the first time but tonight, at 20+4 he is 100% convinced that he felt them as we could see them too. Not sure what Pip was up to tonight, but they felt really ticklish today which they haven't done before!

Hello everyone! Did you stop feeling pregnant when you entered the second trimester? I don't feel sick or tired anymore. In fact, I feel just how I did before I found out. I know that I am because I have a bump and pictures but foods that I went off are quite nice again and I have managed to do the housework. I'm hoping that it's not a blip!0
