YAY Helen!!! SO Pleased for you!!!!!!
Here's hoping the next few months go smoothly xx0 -
Fantastic news Helen, so so happy for you :j
Happy 16 weeks chonorla!
I've been very lazy and not done much today, not really felt well to be honest. Had over 10 hours in bed last night, not all asleep as I'm forever waking up, turning over, going for a wee. Did the shopping this morning and just napped on the sofa watching Superman this afternoon with a headache.
DH is making pasta for tea tonight, then will probably snooze more on the sofa, I really don't know whats wrong with me.
Hope everyone has a good Saturday night, anyone off to any Halloween parties?I :heart2: saving money0 -
Evening all, hope that you've all had a good Monday?
We had a lazy weekend; it turned very cold down our way and with the clocks changing (which after 8 years I'm still not used to!) didn't feel at all like heading out anywhere.
This morning I had a fabulous start to my week as got to have a lie in as had my 16wk mw appt before work - she listened to the heartbeat, but before picking it up got a kick from baby who evidently wasn't wanting to be disturbed! I still can't quite believe that it seems we're being 3rd time lucky and things are progressing well - so very exciting (and scary!)
Wishing all you lovely ladies a lovely evening

Awwwww saffagal it's so lovely hearing the heartbeat isn't it? My midwife first listened in at 15+3 and was about to give up when the baby co-operated, the baby was moving around too much so she was struggling to pick it up properly.
I have a Doppler which I get out quite a lot, baby was having a quiet day movement wise so I got it out last night to hear a raving party. Don't think baby liked it as it then persisted to kick constantly for 10-15 minutes afterwards.
I swear my bump has got bigger whilst I was at work today, put my waterproof jacket on this morning and it zipped, dong the same coming home and it felt tight :rotfl:

Great news Helen!
I was shattered today. The extra hour just seems to have made me wake up earlier!
Love that you're expanding through the day QueenB.
Mind's off baby talk this week for me, off to Vegas on Saturday.. whoop!0 -
Hey QueenB, yes, it was lovely - I was so relieved too if that makes sense as it was one more positive step along the way, helping me believe it may really happen this time.
I ordered a doppler after the appt so will be able to share the experience with DH as he couldn't get off work to join me... hurry Mr postie!
ooh Lazywife, how long are you off for? Sounds lovely anyway and bet you're counting down the days this week
Ooh QueenB, will be interesting to note if your jacket zips up again in the morning or you may have to start using some scarves and leave your jacket open.
xx

Evening all, how are we all today?
Well, my secret is out at work! Although my managers have known since 5wks for my risk assessment due to the nature of my job, they've kept it to themselves and I've not shared the news. Although I'm tall, all my height is in my legs and I have the shortest body so have been showing for a couple of weeks, which due to careful positioning and wearing baggier tops I've managed to conceal, until today.
I took my assistant on a joint visit and she noticed bump... As she doesn't know the word discreet, the news will be out throughout our service before morning! Luckily I've told the people who needed to hear it from me directly and hey ho; it had to become general knowledge sooner or later. I'd just been hoping for later as I'm very private regarding my home life at work!
At least I've only one day of work left this week as day off on Friday - YAY!
Hope we're all ok and have had a good day

lol Saf i managed to hide mine in work until last week (21 weeks nearly 22 weeks then) one of the lads overheard my manager talking to HR about Mat forms and it was all over the place by the next morning, what makes it funnier is that there are only 4 girls who work here and 60 odd lads, the lads are bigger gossips than the girls but they didnt know who it was who was pregnant and where all guessing.
