Sexymouse, there is an offer on at babies r us this weekend so if you bought the cot set this weekend it would be £160 instead of £199.

The cot top changers are no harder than the floor. Your supposed to put a mat on the top too lol and you can buy specialist ones where the sides are higher so baby can't roll off, but essentially you shouldn't leave baby unattended anyway. We have a baby changing unit as I have a spinal condition and bending to the floor isn't always possible. We have a changing mat and table in the babies room, a changing mat for our bedroom and a changing mat for the living room too.

Ikkle you beat me to it (by a couple of hours), we are trying to decide whether to go for that deal at the moment. Still a bit scared to buy anything but the deal seems too good to miss.

I looked at the changer on the cot previously and some reviews said that it was great when they are little but becomes really dangerous once they start to roll because things aren't generally in reach of the cot as much as they would be on a changing table or even floor.

We have a changing table which was bought for us last year which hoping to use, just need to take our clothes out of it and find somewhere to store everything.

Hello sorry for gatecrashing your thread I'm not pregnant but my daughter is :T. Herself and boyfriend have been buying little bits and bobs and are now looking at buggies, cots, furniture etc and can't make their minds up and invited me along to see what I think. They are looking at Tutti Bambini furniture sets which are amazing value for money but are all online and the reviews are bad both for customer service and quality :( Does anyone have any experience of these products?

And buggies? What ever happened to good old prams, pushchairs and car seats, these contraptions are mind boggling.

And whilst I'm on does anyone have any opinions on these changers on top of the drawers or that glide along the cot top?

    thank you

I remember when I was on the Pregnancy Thread, quite a few ladies ordered Tutti Bambini and were really disappointed when they came, missing parts, and parts not matching up when they were built, they also said they looked and felt a bit cheap. I had liked a few pieces of the furniture but it did put me off :o

I can't believe how well baby boy has done for presents this weekend. A moses basket from my best friend, £500 from my parents to put to a travel system of our choice and some really cute bibs.

I'm also going round to my bessies tomorrow to steal (no, borrow) her little boys things that he's out grown/they don't need. Honestly, it feels like christmas. Ha ha.

I can't believe how lucky we've been and how generous they have been. I'm genuinely in shock.

Kitten, it is a really good deal hun. It looks nice in person too cos its the cot I had actually looked at in person before noticing the deal lol. I know what you mean about not wanting to jinx things and it must be so much harder for you because of last time we just feel we need to stay positive and its such a good saving anyway we didn't want to miss out on it. It helps massively that my mums paid for it and I didn't want to cost her a fortune because my step dad is still a little anti baby at the moment.

    Thanks Ikkle,

Logically, I am thinking that we can put it all into our off site storage and if something goes wrong either send it back for a refund or keep it for next time. It is a horrible way to think however it is the way my brain is now working.

We missed out on the nappy deal because of fear. I don't really want to miss out on another good deal especially when we don't have a lot of money to play with.

Going to make the final decision tomorrow and look at some reviews etc

Twinklie that is a great haul, you must be really happy, especially with the travel system money. That should mean you can get pretty much what you want without the additional worry of cost.

Hi all, I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and am just wondering when I am next likely to see my midwife. Had a booking in appointment at about 8 weeks but that was just paperwork, then dating scan at 12+2, but nothing else is booked in yet until my anomaly scan. Should I just sit tight and wait for a phonecall
Proud to be a moneysaver!
