12 to 24 week pregnancy thread

I'm 24 weeks now so I should be moving on... but not yet!! Nothing to do with the threads, I'm sure the ladies on the pregnancy club thread are just as lovely as all of you here, the problem is me. I'm not ready to be in the final thread yet if that makes sense?
Although I look (heavily) pregnant I still feel as if it's all new. My OH said something the other night about me being 5 months pregnant and I did a bit of a double take.
I'm scared. OH is booking paternity leave, I'm starting to meet with candidates who want to apply for my maternity cover, I have a house full of baby stuff, but it still doesn't feel real.
Bleurgh - sorry. Having a silly day.
I do have an actual question to ask, I'm not here just to rant! Does anyone know of any decent maternity bras that are cut in the balconette style? I find that the bras I got from mothercare (while v comfy) seem to come up quite high in a diagonal line from cleavage to shoulder, so they poke out of most of my necklines. They feel like the right size, so I don't think I'm wearing them too big, is this just the style of them?Don't suffer alone - if you are experiencing Domestic Abuse contact the National Domestic Abuse Helplines

Hello everybody!
AMC - not sure if you found the thread yet, but the one I try to follow is called 'MSE Pregnancy Club 24'.
shell_girl - I'm only 17 wks and like Kitten_Pie buy 'normal' bras that are a bit bigger so I can grow into them. I just went to D3benhams and asked to be measured, and the salesperson suggested a few. Maybe you could try that if you haven't already?
AFM - I've been growing out of my normal clothes for the past few weeks but I'm starting to run out of clothes that fit me so I'll have to go shopping. I love shopping, but I don't feel like it right now as I feel that nothing looks good. Normal clothes are too small and I'm not big enought for mat clothes...
I need to buy a few floaty tops to 'hide' the belly for a few weeks if I can though. I've got a new temp job so it'd be nice if I could keep it under wraps (literally!) for a bit longer. If anyone has any ideas/suggestions of business wear tops for someone who's always cold , please let us know.
On a positive side, it's nice to actually see the bump growingI started feeling a few kicks (I think!) too so I'm quite happy really:j

Hello everyone, first post on this thread for me. Posted a handful of times on the less that 12 weeks thread but was so tired and sleepy after work each evening I wasn't able to post as much as I'd have liked. Now I'm 15+5 and not quite so sleepy, I thought I would introduce myself on here!
This is my first pg and due date is 24 October... seems very close! Looking forward to getting to know everyone on here and picking up some tips - I am a complete novice!£2 savers challenge:dance:£152/£200:naughty:Still trying to pay off my CC£3,800/£4,343 paid off0 -
Snap, I am 24th Oct as well :-)
If anyone hasn't joined the Boots Parenting club yet, do. I got some vouchers through the post this morning, went this afternoon after midwife appt and got over 60 quids worth of stuff for 22.80, including a microwave steriliser and a feeding bag. I compared their prices to Amazon and Amazon were cheaper, but with the vouchers Boots were.
I don't think I've had my Huggies pack from Asda yet, joined them a while ago. Also joined Sainsburys, was supposed to get something through the post to go and collect in store, again, haven't got anything. Will have to chase them up. I got a free nappy through the post though, no idea where that came from!!I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Hiya Taadaa!
Did you get to hear heartbeat today Taadaa? Asda you have to print off a voucher to get your free huggies pack, and then if its still baby event, there is a voucher on the packaging of the box that means you could get the box for £1 again if you wanted. Have been reading that huggies arent amazing but each to their own
I'm still waiting for the parenting club voucher, a new advantage card came through the post about 2 weeks ago which was useful as I'd lost mine but apart from that, dont know where the voucher is!
congrats to the newbies to the thread. I'm finding this second trimester going much quicker even though i am having a tired couple of weeks

Thanks Student_Mrs, I will have a look I might have read 'print this off' then promptly forgot about it :rotfl:
Yes, I heard the heartbeat, was relieved! I've been ill again the past two weeks, looks like I might have a urine infection and rhinitis that is making me really out of breath. Have also got low bp so not having much fun at the mo
I don't see my mw again until 28 weeks though - is that normal?? I have to see the VBAC clinic, have a scan and a glucose test in between, but it seems like an awfully long time with no check ups going on.
Re Boots there is a 3 for 2 offer in store and online, and it seems that you can sign up to the club in store and that will get you the free changing bag as well, so you don't need to wait for the voucher. They are all valid until the end of July anyway so plenty of time yet!I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off
