Moneypuddle, I don't feel the baby much really, I've felt a few flutters which if it wasn't for me being alert i wouldn't really have noticed. Because it is your first I think they say up to 22 weeks to feel the baby. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Thanks ikkle. I've been googling a lot and different sites seem to say different things and then there's people who have felt things since week 15 or 16 :eek:0

Are you slim or a little tubby hun? I'm a bit tubby so that can delay sensations. Also the early movements are just like flutters or popping sensations and can be mistaken for trapped wind, etc xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I felt LO last week and am now 22 weeks.
I still only feel her if I am sitting down or really concentrating. I think it is because when I sit I curl up and squish her a little
They still aren't overly strong but getting stronger by the day. Plus this is my 2nd pregnancy and you are supposedly meant to feel the kicks sooner.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

My midwife told me not to worry about not feeling movements regularly until 24 weeks so try not to panic if you're not yet (particularly if it's your first baby and if your placenta is anterior as it is between baby and the abdominal wall). I've been feeling fluttering since 15 weeks, and the kicks have got stronger in the last couple of weeks (21 weeks + 4 today). As kitten said though, if I fold my arms over the bump after I've eaten at night, I feel him kicking more. His pattern of kicking definitely seems to have changed over the past week or so, and the position of the fluttering feelings is moving higher as the uterus gets higher too. I don't tend to notice the kicking so much if I'm moving around - it's more when I'm inactive that I feel him.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Im on my 4th pregnancy and felt flutterings since about 11/12 weeks, once you know what they are for sure it makes it easier to tell the difference between baby and wind
the two are quite similar but usually in slightly different places and baby will move in the same spot where as wind will move,
With my first though it was over 20 weeks with him before they became clearly him,
It also depends on where they are sitting, where the placenta is etc This one seems to like to kick on inside rather than tummy so it feels like a weird kind of pressure sensation !Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
If your placenta's to the front (anterior) you might not feel movements very early. Likewise if your baby kicks towards your back you'll not feel the movements either. Your weight can make a difference. Whether it's your first baby or not will make a difference. There a so many factors and it's not unusual to still not have felt movement at 20 weeks.
I assume you'll be having your anomaly scan soon, moneypuddle, so that should put your mind at rest when you see your little one wriggling around.
The first unmistakable movements I felt were downward kicks, i.e. to my cervix. Such a weird feeling. There's nothing else in the world that produces that sensation!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I think I can feel something but I'm not sure. I am 17+1. I have to wait until 22 weeks for my next scan, DH wants to know but I'm not bothered. I knew that my first was a DS, and I am leaning towards a DH, but I'm not totally convinced like I was the first time around.
I ate a poached egg with a slightly runny centre for breakfast. I really really wanted it. But I feel guilty, obviously, despite it only being advice not to. I wouldn't eat raw eggs, but then I wouldn't eat them whether I was pregnant or not quite frankly!I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

I can feel a strange feeling on the left after I eat my lunch only if im sitting down. It’s like being tickled from the inside if that makes sense.
