Has anyone got a name picked yet?

    xx

This is my current obsession! Not with picking names, but with discussing them with people.

Once you've had your baby, and you say 'He's called Algernon' people are polite enough to say 'Oh, that's nice'. If you tell them whilst you're still pregnant they scream and tell you what an awful name it is. Then you're faced with feeling a bit fed up that someone hates your baby-name!

I've not going to tell anyone what we've decided to call the baby *.

    * Surely Spaniel's not that unusual? ;)

  • we are down to 3 boys names and 2 girls, going to choose after birth and then tell people.

have picked middle names, daniel for a boy (my grandad) Caroline for a girl (OH grandma)

finally my sickness and constant need to eat has disappeared this week. i have a cold though grrr

have been checking out prams and cots, so much to choose from

Totally agree! I'm fed up of people pulling a funny face when I say a name. It's like the wedding again when we told people we were have black an fuschia pink as our colour scheme but on the day everyone loved it!

Hope all are doing well x

Yep, get the same here. "Oh no, you can't call your baby that . . " Well, I am gonna! :) We picked ours way back and am going to stick to it. The other thing I keep being told is "You will change your mind when you see him . . . "

    Feel better jediquigley!

And fluffnutter please call your baby Spaniel Algernon;)

    Hi all

Got back last night from a week away with DH and the dog, we stayed in a lovely converted stable in the middle of nowhere. It was perfect - lots of walking and running for the dog and lots of relaxing for me and DH! :)

Welcome to all new ladies and :j:j:j:j for all the 20 week scans- can't believe how many little men are due for arrival!

Only 6 sleeps till my scan - feel like we have been waiting an eternity! Lookign forward to buying stuff after it - me and DH are constantly on ebay looking for a 2nd hand Quinny Buzz pram/travel system that's in fantastic condition, cheap and nearby...the search continues!

    Have a lovely weekend

am 14 + 5 today, so not planning to buy pram or cotbed till after 20 week scan. moses basket and car seat coming from my sister.

i have had some lovely reactions to people hearing i am pregnant, people i hardly know are hugging me lol

anyone else under pressure to have a boy/ girl? my mother in law, my mum and friends all want me to have a girl as there arent any girls in the family. i am not bothered to be honest just healthy will do me.

  • Hi Ladies,

Just seen on the list that Robyn297 has the same scan date and due date!! Such a good day to have a baby!

Just bought our first baby item, a bargain changing mat at £4.65 from Sainsburys! They were selling them off and should have been £6.99 so well pleased. Dad to be need a bit of persuasion to part with his cash, he said cant we change baby on a towel! bless him, he has so much to learn!

Hi ladies, thought I'd join you. I'm due at the end of June with my first, 19+5 today! Not enjoying pregnancy so far. Still got nausea and I'm sleeping terribly (up 4-7 times every night for wee and/or uncomfy!), which is pretty tedious. Quite like feeling the baby kicking, though :j I'm married, DH and I both 32.

Have added myself to the list and am off to check out rjh's bargains!
