Morning (well afternoon but I only just got up - could sleep for England) all.

Today I have mostly got a huge smile on my face - 24 weeks and viability day!

Me too am following you round today :rotfl:Am so pleased to have got this far and although it didn't always feel it (esp when I had really bad sickness) in a lot of ways it really has flown!

    Happy V day dizzi!

Which pram did you go for in the end? I'm leaning toward the Mothercare My3 cos we walk in the woods quite a lot. But i have got a tiny car so not sure about it fitting in the boot.

Very tempted to go to Kiddicare but it is kinda far - 110 miles away! Don't think i could persuade DH to go for that!

I'll only be 17 weeks when it is the baby show so I should be ok walking around there shouldn't I? I dunno? What do you guys think?

We went for the Hauck Malbu purely because it came with things like the carrycot and I wanted a proper lie-flat option (and it saves me lugging the moses basket up and down stairs every morning for daytime naps) since I'm now car-less during the week so will be legs and pramming it everywhere. Although the doting grandparents were helping us and paying for it - I really felt bad going for anything too expensive as well - and I draw the line at paying more for a pram than I ever have for a car! Plus it didn't seem to require a degree in physics to fold up and down - unlike some which defeated my husband who HAS the degree in astrophysics!

Tomorrow, for various reasons, is my last day of "work-work"... not really through choice - supply teaching's dead, I'm coming under more and more pressure from my agency to work for free on trial days with no paid work coming in, and it just wasn't economically viable to keep the second car I use during the week running through its MOT and cartax that run out this week - so it's gone to the scrapyard cos for the grand total of the £300's work I've had this academic year (I used to comfortably work 2-3 days a week most of the year apart from quiet patches) paying out probably more than that in repair bills for the sake of keeping it on the road a few months more was just ludicrous. Still got my evening tutoring work - planning on stopping that the start of May just before SATs and exams hit for the kids, and then hopefully restarting it in September when I can duck out for the odd hour to do it while hubby holds the baby (I only work very locally so am out for an hour 30 max really). Thankfully the demand for THAT is sky high round here! Decided trying to mark KS2 SATs this year when they sit them mid-May might be pushing it a bit TOO much - had visions of pushing through a contraction, marking a question, pushing, marking at one point - and I know by the time the training day comes around I'll be too big and uncomfortable to sit through 9-5 of fairly intense being talked at... shame cos I'd got an Excellent in my marker grade from the previous year!

Ooh, perhaps I'm having a girl then. To even things up a bit :D. Won't know until it pops out. We've decided not to find out at the 20wk scan.

I had thought about the My3 and went and had a look and it just didn't feel as sturdy as my other two choices (oyster and M&P sola) - worth going to check out to compare.

Ladies ~ Am I going loon tune ... Last 2-3 days I have felt what I thought was baby moving. But its always in the same place on the left handside. Surely if it was baby it would move around and if I turned over in bed it would move to the other side? Its not like wind or butterflies its slightly stronger. Like a tapping or pulsing muscle slightly. Or sometimes like a very light squirm if I concentrate. I'm guess it's not babe as im early at 15 weeks and its only one side ...

15 weeks is a bit early if this is your first. But... it also depends on where your placenta is. You might simply be only able to feel movement in the same place because your placenta blocks other movements. At this stage, the placenta is still bigger than your babe, so it will be able to cushion quite a lot of its squirmings.

Who knows? I certainly echo your tapping description. That's what my baby often feels like (19 weeks today and I've felt movement for the last week or so).
