I'm not particularly bothered about finding out if we're having a girl or boy though I won't be disappointed if I do find out. I like being able to plan but conversely I also like surprises plus we're unlikely to be decorating the nursery in blue or pink whether we know or not.
My OH's view is if the Sonographer knows then he wants to know - doesn't want someone else knowing when he doesn't otherwise he's not bothered.
However we had friends over this weekend and it's the first time we've seen them since they found out they were having a girl and it did seem to make it more 'real' to them that they were having a daughter rather than a baby.
I was 19 weeks on Friday and I can't say I've noticed baby responding to bright lights or loud sounds. I do feel flutterings and what I believe to be occasional kicks but the only thing I've noticed which always causes a reaction is when I slouch rather than sitting up straight - s/he seems to be on a mission to improve my posture0 -

:hello:Hi all
whowants2brich - I definately want to find out boy or girl - but DH still needs a lot of convincing!:)
Hope everyone is well. Popped into our nearest city this weekend to have a look at babies r us and mamas & papas. Fell in love with a pram - its called the Quinny Buzz. Flipping expensive though! Then DH wanted to buy a whole nursery furniture set from mamas and papas - had to reign him in! Its just so so expensivePlus I don't want to buy anything until after 20 week scan on 10th Feb - I've got a few packs of nappies and wipes but feel uncomfortable at the thought of buying bigger items until afterwards. I have got a very exciting list tho....and *may* be watching/buying several gorgeous maternity tops on ebay!

The Quinny Buzz was my second choice Triangle, I loved it
I know it's expensive, but I've seen so many people with them who have a lot older children in them, so they do seem to last, which must be a good point?
You can open baby plan at Mothercare, where a deposit would secure your pram and you can just pay a bit when you can, they also price match, so will do it for the same price as other places, including onlineThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Haha I think most Mothercares have the Quinny Buzz on the shop floor. The Quinny is also compatible with Maxi Cosi Car Seats, which is supposed to be one of the safest brands out there
I ended up with a pram from M&P, as my OH preferred it, but I did love the Buzz. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
I have the most horrendous gas cramps from hell. My intestines are killing me. Hurting so bad I actually thought I was going to have diahwoowoo. So much like my ibs days this. Yowch sat here with hot water bottle trying to relieve it. Trouble is this sort of pain seems to last houuuuuuuuuuurs. Urgh.0

Don't use the hot water bottle on your front Rebekah! Only on your back in pregnancy xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
