Well we just back from scan. Mind blowing stuff. Still can't believe that is inside me! It's mad. Little buggger was asleep. So I was tipped upside down and had to cough lots and was prodded lots and it wouldn't wake up. So she made me go to wee and then come back and it was still asleep. So she prodded more and made me cough more and eventually it woke up! Lazy like me lol. Little arms and legs moving everywhere. It was there with its legs crossed and its hands up by its head LOL. Too funny. She gave us 5 pictures instead of 3 bless her.0

Glad the scan went ok Rebekah - mine resented being woken up and actually shoved a hand out to push the probe away!
Was just in Tesco (yes, I know I live in Tesco but I'd forgotten a birthday card!) and one of the women there was just organising the baby stuff with a baby and toddler event shelf layout guidey thing in her hand so looks like they've got one looming as well. Couldn't read anything more than that without making it really obvious I was being nebby!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Hi all. I'm so relieved that I made it past the first 12 weeks and am officially 14wks today! I'm not a regular poster but will be popping in from time to time. Keeping my fingers crossed for all little bubbles.
ps. mine wasn't asleep at the scan - quite the opposite. I think it must have had hiccups or something because it was jumping up and down all the time.0 -
Lixi - no dreams about gender yet, but I just have a 'feeling' that it's going to be a boy, don't know why! Only 29 days til I (hopefully!) find out!
Exellent news Rebekah, so pleased for you :j

Rebekah, great news on the scan! Good luck for the next trimester!
I went to a physio class today and they suggested some tips to help with pains. I also booked myself in for a pilates class and a gym ball class. They suggested that aquanatal would be useful, but since that is during the day, it is a bit difficult since I am working!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Gin funny you should say about the classes iv just been trawling the net for classes really wanna do a nhs antenatal class an aqua natal but everything I find is in the day or starts at 6 before I get home from work.......seem us pregnant ladies shouldn't be working! Gonna speak to my midwife at my next visit see if there is a class I'm missing. XIs now Mrs H after marrying my amazing husband :j
Expecting our first bump to hatch 29th may 2012 :j0 -
ginvzt and MrsH, have you spoken to your local sure start/children's centre about classes?
I've been having difficulty finding information about classes and support in my area (and I'm not working, just studying PT) so today I walked over to my local children's centre. They were really good, had loads of information about what was available both at the centre and elsewhere.
I'm hoping to start attending a couple after my 20 weeks scan (I could start now but I'd be happier to wait).
I've also noticed that some of the local fitness centres do antenatal classes of various sorts at different times though they don't seem very good at advertising them (or I don't go into the right places).
I've also found the library to be a good place for information - much more use than my midwife has been.

Yeah there are a few classes in my area (Ayrshire and Arran, Scotland) which are like that.. Got my scan date through. On 26th. So Ill be 20wks +5 then.
Off to look at prams on Sunday - eventually relented - my Mum would have had me there at 8 wks if shed had her way!
Think the 3 I'm interested in really looking at are:
