    Oh no - poor you!!

Couple of things though - freezer food is always ok for 24 hours after bing turned off, should be a setting on the freezer in case of these situations, but if it has gone on for too long, check out your home insurance, I know for example that without asking for it my contents insurance covers £500 for freezer food in case of an event like this!!! x x x

Thankyou for the advice hun, I will give my insurance company a call and see what they say. I think Im extra paranoid about food now with bubba on the way, especially meat. Would be lovely if I could get some of the cost back! xx
  • Discussion Point........................Do we think it is healthy that I have had super noodles for lunch every day for a fortnight? lol x x

Hmm probably not though depends on whether you're having anything else with them and what you're eating for the rest of the day.
I had a craving for pot noodles at the start of my pregnancy which was weird since I hadn't had one since 6th form - avoided them even at uni. I think I was lacking in salt.

Don't think it will do you much harm, you are eating some other foods as well during the day!

Some of my meals have been appalling, according to my OH (I loved them!):
    - mashed potatoes with bacon (home made mash, not Smash) and glass of milk
    - pearl barley cooked in the oven with potatoes, carrots and bacon
    - lamb dansak (last night)
    - pizza from Tesco on the way home from work
    - chinese takeaway after long day

And these were not just one offs... There are more, but this should give you an idea. I was alone during the week for about 7-8 weeks no, as OH was working away, ad had no energy to cook, so these saved me. Actually, I wouldn't mind the mash again, or pearl barley... However, OH is back, and he is making me eat vegetables and salad...

(which I have just compensated with Paella from the Christmas market for lunch at work)

But then - I am also trying to eat some fruits. I will probably have 1-2 apples a day (as long as it is quartered and core removed), had a few grapefruits over the last week, and also made myself a smoothie with apple, cherries, orange juice, some mixed ASDA juice, whatever else I could find around on Sunday. However, I can't even look at bananas! I had at least one a day at the beginning, as it is good for you, but now, I just don't want them. Tried to get myself to eat them by slicing them and putting on white bread with butter (nothing strange where I come from - it is normal thing, although my OH can't understand it).

Ha ha, I'm not even convinced I am craving them, just don't want anything else, but by tea time I am ready for a normal meal with all the healthy bits, it is just odd! x

Yeah, am eating all the normal healthy stuff in the morning and evening, just can't cope with anything else at lunch time! It's just odd!!!

And I have a complete aversion to fruit, where as normally I love it!!!

Brussels sprouts for me... I nearly had the rest of the meal come up when I had one a couple of weeks ago.

I want a cake... I saw some nice apple strudel in the market, pity had no way to carry anything else. Note to myself - bring a carrier bag with you next time!

I eat lots of fruit and veg and have normal balanced dinners but have become a bit of a chocolate addict! Especially Twix. I didnt really eat chocolate before being pregnant - just hope it doesnt take its toll on my figure lol! Doesn't help that people keep bringing tins of roses, heros etc in the office now its getting near Christmas.
