I can't work out where my fundus is but when I lie down there is only a small bump just above the height of my hips (18 weeks).

I got three photos but only paid for one ;) should have been £3 each. That happened last time as well and when I had to have an extra scan due to DD not being in the right position I got three free photos without paying for any. They seem to just print off three whatever at my hospital.

Coffee very soon Lisa sounds good - up to you though if we do after or before xmas, prob better after, but as I am signed off for another week, if you are about during the wek anytime, you would be most welcome at mine, or we could meet at Morrisons?

I'm away most of this week but might have time the following week if you're still off work or have time afterwards. I'm starting a pregnancy yoga class a week on Wed. just thought I'd mention it as I was looking for something for pregnant people for ages and really struggled to find anything.
  • Hi ladies hope you don't mind me joining. Will be 15 weeks tomorrow an feeling very excited, although did have a horrid dream on Saturday that went to see the midwife an instead the doctor saw us an said it was all a mistake an the scan pic we had was someone else's! Not a dream I want to repeat!!!!!

Can't believe how cheap some of your scan pic have been at our 12 week scan we had to pay £10 for each photo! Think we will just get the one not two at our 20 week scan.

Anyway good luck to everyone having scans soon, can't wait for our next scan.

    Xx

Ladies about the 20 week mark, can you feel your fundus up by your belly button? Mine still feels really low (another worry, I know, I'm terrible!) but I have no real idea whether I'm feeling for the right thing, must ask the sonographer to help me next week!

Mine doesnt seem to stay in the same place? Usually about 2 - 3 fingers lower than my belly button when I wake up but seems to get to just under the belly button at certain points of the day?

Welcome MrsH, nad to think I though £5 a picture was expensive!!! We got 6 at our 12 week one but they were only £2 each then, I think we will do the 3 for £10 this time round.
  • Ok, no laughing but I just put a towel down on the floor in the ladies at work to have a good feel around and feel like a bit of a prat, of course I can feel it at the top and bottom durr lol! The top of my Uterus is about 2mm under my belly button and goes almost all the way down to the hair line (excuse the tmi!)

Morning everyone, I havnt managed to get on for a few days so just catching up. I ve got quite a bump now, its really popped out in the last couple of weeks! (Im 21 +2). Bubs is wiggling lots most days now and I dont think it will be long before hubby can feel it too as the movements are getting more noticeable.
Im not very happy this morning though. Got home last night to discover that our fuse board had exploded (literally, apparently we were lucky the house didnt catch fire!) so have had no electricity heating or hot water all night. Getting dressed for work this morning was not much fun in the cold and dark! Anyway, it should be fixed today but it will use up the money I had saved towards replacing my car to get a new fuse board. It would have to happen in December with Christmas to pay for too! And id got ahead and out lots of christmas food in the freezer which of course is no good now as it had all defrosted by the time I got home last night!
However, I am very greatful that the house didnt burn down - every cloud!!
And just to add insult to injury, I managed to hit my head really hard getting out the car at work this morning - the reason I need a new car is that I have a very sweet 2 seater cabriolet which was lovely for pre-pregnant me in the summer but not so great for pregnant me (or me with a baby!)!
LOL I sound like a right moaner today dont I!!
I hope everyone else is having a better day than me :) xxx
  • Hi guys!

    Can I join?

I have been lurking but not posying in the less than 12 weeks thread but can now graduate to here.

I had a second scan yesterday (as when they did the first one i was earlier than they thought I was (only 10+1) so they couldn't do the Downs test)

Yesterday's scan put me at 13 +2. So 13+3 today!

The last scan they said I was 3 days earlier which gave a EDD of 12 June and they've kept me at that even though officially know based on 13+2 I would be 9 June.

This is my first baby and I've been avoiding reading books too much till I got to this stage, as I didn't want to jinx anything. But going to start reading more now.

I had bad sickness in the first tri but it seems to be easing now fingers crossed.

    Oh no - poor you!!

Couple of things though - freezer food is always ok for 24 hours after bing turned off, should be a setting on the freezer in case of these situations, but if it has gone on for too long, check out your home insurance, I know for example that without asking for it my contents insurance covers £500 for freezer food in case of an event like this!!! x x x

I am 20 + 1 now and very excited for my 20 week scan on Thursday!

I have found this thread very useful as all my fears and worries have been mentioned at some point along the way! x x
